To save $$ now a days I dry clothes outside and I just don't go out as much as I used to. Also my garden has tripled in size. Have a good week end!
That’s wonderful! Thank you, you have a good weekend as well.
My daughter and I purchased an old house which is solid but very basic. So far
We have done all the renovations ourselves except for the bathroom . However we had to get creative when it came to the kitchen. We had a very large ornate hutch which we separated top from bottom and arranged in an L shape. Sanded, painted and with a sealed wooden top board attached we constructed a truly functional, attractive original kitchen.
It was hard work for we girls ( she's 57 and I am 77) but the results are astonishing!!!!
A HUGE money saver and a surprise to us both that we could make it look sooo good. Saved us thousands of dollars.😄
Good on you 👏🎉
Girl power! 👍🏼😄
Oh my goodness! How wonderful! So impressive!
So inspiring!!!
Sounds beautiful. Love to see photo. Congrats, hiw rewarding
I do cook from scratch, and am using real plates more than paper.make homemade soups only! This helps us two seniors on a budget! ❤
Sounds great!
When I went to buy a washer and dryer for my first home a few years ago (after living in the house without them for several years), I decided not to purchase a dryer in the end. I use two drying racks and am extremely happy with them.
Btw, I feel like I use today’s technology to save money. I have ONE screen only in my house - my phone. I have no TV and no home internet service. (I used to have a computer and home internet service.) If I need a computer now, I go to my local library which is close by. I just have unlimited cell phone data. With TH-cam and Google, I have learned how to do a huge number of home improvements and repairs. I’ve also learned recipes to help me eat frugally and to creatively use leftovers. I’ve also used the internet to diagnose and treat some simple running injuries for free (I’m a runner). I feel like we can’t throw out the baby with the bath water when it comes to technology. We should use it to help us live more simply, to save (or make) money, and to connect with and help others. I love TH-cam and channels like this one! ❤
Another benefit is being able to hang out with like minded people.
That’s so wonderful! Good for you!
Yes! I so agree! It is important to adapt and not be ignorant to things. Use technology to your advantage. Being fearful and ignorant about it does nobody any good. And yes, you can take things from the past and do them but if something can be done more efficiently with the help of technology or new inventions, don’t be afraid to implement it. Time is money. You also become a well-rounded person by being able to adapt and evolve and be open to change vs being resistant to it. Don’t knock something you don’t know about until you try it. Many are just too afraid to even try. That is sad.
Congrats to the winner. I always read the comments. You truly have the nicest, most positive and helpful subscribers. That is a reflection of you and your content❤.
Thank you so much! Yes, you all are the best of the best!
Emmy and Paul , you always the friendliest and down to earth people .
I do see your vid every week and sit having a tea and biscuits and it like , sitting with friends at home .
It’s nice to see people that are friendly and kind .
God bless you both and family ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️✨
What an uplifting comment! Thank you so much. God bless you too!
I'm back at saving bacon fat. Abandoned for years lol some family members don't like to look at it but they love the way it flavors food...the best tasting fried potatoes ever!😂
I love bacon grease. I always have a jar of it. I agree with using it for fried potatoes. I can my own spicy pintos beans, then when I refry for my refied beans, i fry them up in bacon grease. Yum.
I save my Bacon fat also 🤗
I'm enjoying my gardening container pots. Thank you Paul for giving me tips when I first got started 🤗❤️
Thank you for showing me how to transfer my plants. My cucumber plants need to be separated.
I keep mine in an old margarine container (Country Crock) in my refrigerator and know one is the wiser.
Several months ago, I bought a can of SPAM and when I opened the can, one edge of the meat was black. Needless to say, I tossed it in the trash. So when I went back to the grocery store a few days later, I put a can of SPAM in my buggy to buy.
When I got to the check-out counter, I mentioned my experience with the can of SPAM to the assistant manager and he gave me the SPAM for free.
Yay! So happy they made it right!
i collect candles. when i was in college i lived in a duplex and we had a huge winter storm. our power went out for 3 days. i loved candles so i didn't worry. i keep old 2 liter pop bottles that are cleaned and then put filtered water in it and put in the freezer for just such occassions and as we need more water i just take another one out of the freezer. anyway. my place was so hot i had to open the door. it looked really weird being the only place with lights on... with in 4 hours everyone around was at my house to keep kids and animals warm. i had enough candles to keep everyone warm for 3 days. ( more people and animals the place ust kept getting hotter) i also had a grill.. so i just popped a casserole dish on it and shut the lid. we had hot soups, casseroles.. grilled meat. people went home for a little bit then would come back to cook and get warm. i even got to learn to make hot chocolate from scratch on the grill. it was an eye opener. everyone helped everyone. it was nice to go through a storm with help and warmth.
@michiemca....back in 1997 we had a huge ice storm here in NH. No power for 2 weeks. We lived in a 4 story apt building and 1 of the neighbors had a gas grill. People took turns cooking on it so they could still have hot meals.
My friend says she likes candles in the summer even when it is hot out because she likes the smell. She was surprised that I don’t do that and I told her that a candle would heat up the house. She tried to convince me that a candle will not heat up the house. I will have to tell her your story!😂😂😂
What a wonderful encouraging comment
So inspiring! And love the sense of community!
Dear Paul & Emmy: Your video today gave me such a nostalgic feeling. Almost sad thinking about the "old days" growing up. The time when great-grandma's backyard was a special place, full of beautiful plants & flowers - like yours. Also, the simple basic meals made with love and no fancy ingredients. I'm 66 yrs old now, and long for those times when I was 4-10 yrs old. Thank you for taking me back. Much love, Tina in TN
Thank you so much for the encouraging words!
We're back to grocery shopping once per month, scratch cooking and meal planning. We batch our errands and appointments to save time & fuel cost. We no longer shop - we plan our purchases. We are grateful our needs are met and thank God every single day for His blessings. We have found contentment - something we recall seeing in our grandparent's eyes when we were children. 😊
Love that! Thank you for sharing!
I paid for everything with cash and kept all my change to put in my piggy banks for saving... now I just pay with plastic. I've got to go back to the old way.
We save our change too and have enough at Christmas to use for my daughter's gifts...
It’s amazing when you actually see the cash in your hand leaving your hand. It makes such a difference than just swiping a card
I was always proud growing up, when I earned my own money. I liked having cash in my purse. I have hung on to that through my life. I specifically like ones it makes me feel like I have more money.
I shared a while back my husband wasn't very open to budgeting and trying to be frugal and more intentional about be good stewards of what we have. But he's coming around praise the Lord. He helps with meal planning and often says... What do we have in the freezer /fridge /pantry that we can make so we don't eat out or we can put off going shopping in between!!! That's progress 👏🏻 😊.
Oh how wonderful! Yay!
Wonderful to hear of his progress! My husband has been coming around as well. I make it a point to praise whatever efforts he makes. It all makes a difference. Good luck on your journey!
Good for him PROUD of you buddy!!!!
I used to do coupons until they went away. I now do fetch and loss leaders. I also used to buy whatever I wanted for groceries but now I am more frugal with discount foods, bulk foods etc. Thank you for yet another wonderful video :)
That is awesome! Thanks for taking the time to share.
Congratulations to the winner. We are all Winners to have found Emmy and Paul and of course Miss Dixie ❤
Oh, how sweet of you to say! Thank you!
Having the family over more , instead of meeting at resturants ! Cutting up old clothes for rags , knitting and hanging clothes !
Wonderful money saving ideas!
Last week I was watching a TH-cam from a financial advisor, she criticized planting a vegetable garden, she said you really don’t save money by planting a garden. I was shocked! Obviously I don’t agree with that. And there are added benefits of gardening being an active hobby, you are spending time outdoors, the food is more delicious and perhaps even healthier. Thanks for being encouraging.
You’re right! For me the mental benefits are worth it all. I heard a gardener say, that it’s like releasing your pressure valve lol. You feel so much better after being in the garden. Even if it’s just strolling around.
She obviously hasn’t bought any fresh produce lately. 😂😂
I saw that one too. A $16 (huge) tomato plant has brought my 90 yo Dad so much pride and he believes he's saving $. It doesn't matter how many tomatoes you can buy for $16; it makes him happy in a world where there is so much he can't control.
You are so right
Right - I save so much money on fresh organic, chemical free food. I would conservatively say we save $5,000 a year with our garden. We save so much that we spend $200 on groceries per month for a family of 5. We also sell the extra produce and the extra cash goes to expanding the garden and building an orchard.
I use to drive alot but now I go where I need to go and make a circle and back home.
That’s such a smart way to travel.
Good afternoon! I want to tell you something..... your channel is so refreshing I am a new subscriber. I also ran into one of your older ones where you basically said you were not a fear monger and I breathed a breath of fresh air. I love your Channel.... I get such a good feeling when I watch your channel I really appreciate your positive touch..... I appreciate your attention to detail...... and that you don't talk 90 miles an hour! Thank you have a great day ❤
Welcome! Thank you so much for the kind words. So happy you are here.
Congratulations, Flapdoodle! For the rest of us, the Happy Planners are at JoAnn's, and if you're on their mailing list or have their app, you have coupons, usually 40% or 50% off.
Thanks for sharing
I finally got myself motivated to clean the planting beds thanks to you.
That's great!
Flapdoodlecackleberry should win just with the name alone! I love it! Congratulations!
I know, right!
When you pinch off the bottom leaves of your tomato plants (because they shouldn’t be laying on the ground), take them in and put them in water. They will grow roots and you can plant another “free” tomato plant. 🍅
😂😂I won the happy planner last time and let me tell you it's awesome congratulations to the winner❤❤
Yes, you did. Dawn! They are wonderful.
Living alone my cell phone is always with me. I keep it on the bath mat in case I fall in the shower, but i don’t use my phone for shopping. The internet is turned off. I do use my iPad for shopping. I do pick up at Walmart once a month when my ss check comes in. I am constantly adding and deleting items until pay day. In only have $85 for food and miscellaneous purchases. This system works for me and I don’t feel deprived. My want list is long but my needs are few.
Oh my goodness, of course in a scenario like that, you always keep a cell phone!
I budget much better then I used to.
That’s wonderful!
Replacing things that stopped working or break.
We started buying replacements right away.
We're now waiting on things, to see if we really need to replace it, or repairing things.
Our air fryer stopped working a month ago, haven't bought a new one. And my husband repaired our washer, recently.
So smart to do it that way!
Emmy and Paul, watching your videos always lifts my spirit. One thing that I want to get back to, is to drink water with dinner. We do it sometimes, but other times we just drink ginger ale or juice, and I grew up drinking water! So, even though I sometimes put water with lemon wedge and a few blueberries with the dinner, I would like to do it regularly. Another thing is hanging clothes out to air dry. In Spain, where I am from, almost everybody does that. Here in Massachusetts, I can only do on the dry, sunny days. My husband built a clothesline with the help of my father in law, and I just love using it.
Your container garden is getting filled up nicely! We have been rebuilding our garden this year with raised beds and containers. And, our apple tree that we planted three years ago is giving apples for the first time! I am so excited, I check on the apples every day, lol. Congratulations on your 60.5K subscribers! You deserve all the love! Esther
Esther, how wonderful! We do drink water with dinner every evening. Such a great idea to add a bit of fruit.
I DO NOT shop online!!! I want to see, feel, try on what I buy!
So much better isn’t it?
Happy Friday everyone
Happy Saturday lol!
My husband and son fish a lot and are good at it. A couple weeks ago we traded fish for two cases of Vidalia onions. Also my husband takes the suckers off his tomatoe plants and puts them in rooting hormone and then plants those. More tomatoes later without buying new plants. Your meal looked delicious and reminded me that we trap our hogs here and process them ourselves. No feeding or maintenance in raising them. Have a great weekend!! Thank you both!
By your comment, I wondered if you lived in the south.
Wow! You trap your own hogs? That’s amazing!
I notice you've been color-coordinating your tops with dishes in the background.
You are observant.
Lol! Trying to just keep the look a bit cohesive🤗
Great reminder to think about our spending practices before cell phones. I'm only 40, but I do remember buying things back in the 1990s and it was so different! I appreciate the reminder of dialing spending back (pun intended) and putting it in a historical perspective!
You are so welcome. Thank you for watching
Envelope method/paycheck budgeting and meal planning! So happy to have these good habits back in my life and I always feel encouraged to keep up the good habits and adopt some new ones after watching Emmy and Paul!
Love that! Great tips!
I am just being more careful overall. Sometimes, I let my guard down with extreme frugality, and I'm trying to challenge myself more to find ways to cut back so we don't fall behind with ever-rising prices. Another channel talks about the 10% challenge frequently, and I am implementing that for utilities and groceries this summer. Groceries are a real challenge because I don't want the pantry and freezer to be too depleted.
Yes, I agree with you about the pantry and freezer
I always look forward to your videos. You have really helped me embrace frugality. I often think... what would Emmy do 😉🤣.
I love when people tell me that lol! Thank you!
Green onions, collard’s greens, basil, pineapple, oregano , rosemary it’s the easiest to grow
Thanks for sharing
Congratulations to the winner! Woot! 🎉 Well, I hate to admit it but I’m aging and I get lazy about things like hanging laundry but I’m getting back to it. I used to make multiple loaves of bread when the kids were growing up and kind of stopped but when a loaf of sourdough was $6 a loaf (yikes!) I went back to baking my own. I just returned from visiting my daughter in another state and for fun I went with her and a couple of the grandchildren thrift shopping. We had so much fun and found incredible deals. Some were brand new! Thank you for the reminder about cellphones and not letting them control our days and/or dollars! The recipe looks yummy and easy! Friday is my favorite time to see what you have for us on TH-cam. Blessings
How wonderful! Sounds like a fun time!
I have back and foot issues, and for many years now I have had a house cleaner come in every two weeks. I recently started walking around the inside of the house for up to an hour at a time. I felt a lot stronger and felt it was time to save some money. I let my house cleaner go in April. May would have been 3 Thursdays that she would have come. That's $300 saved! I do a little every day instead of one big clean every two weeks. Working a lot of overtime dictates that I can only do a bit at a time also.
Yes, you do what you can do. Glad you are feeling stronger.
I've been using public transportation more. We have a trolley in my city that you can catch for free at certain times and stops.
Oh, that’s a great money saver!
Something that I find wonderful about your cooking videos is how you go through every step. I teach cooking and the feedback that I get is "You make it look so easy!" to which I reply, "It is easy. This isn't Rocket Surgery!" So my *students* go home and re-create the recipes and tell me how delicious it was. Funny how you and I find cooking so familiar, and other find it so intimidating. I have made 1000 variations of your egg-noodle one skillet meal, and all were received graciously. Thank you for your continued inspiration.
Thank you for the encouragement!
You guys are the best. 😊
To answer your question is easy as I'm doing it while watching your video. I am making a curtain for my backdoor using the lining from an old set of curtains and then sewing fabric from an old duvet cover and some lace curtain that I dyed using onion skins.
Just tacked up the top and then ready to machine sew tomorrow.
I have arthritis hands, so unfortunately, I can't do too much hand sewing.
Send love and hugs with blessings from Leicester England xx
That is awesome! I bet they will be absolutely beautiful
My cell phone has been a huge help to me. I'm disabled and no longer drive. Being able to shop for groceries/household supplies; order prescriptions and shop for food and other items for my dogs.
Good for you! I know it helps.
Oh yes! Of course, in that situation it’s a necessity!
I can smell that ham and onions frying!
So good!
Love the lamp on your kitchen counter! Makes it so bright! Bulbs are a great idea! ❤❤
Yes, Paul did a great job on that little lamp.
I live on disability pension I cook like this out of necessity
I too hang clothing on the line instead of using the clothes dryer, I used to love to go to different stores weekly to look even if I didn't buy anything. I don't do that anymore. I appreciate your tips and varieties of content information you put into your video's. Thank you!
Thanks for sharing!
I use my cell phone to look up the grocery fliers. I got an Alexa for Christmas one year. I use it to make a grocery list. When I’m out of something I tell Alexa to add to Grocery list. I even have her run 3 different lists. I never over buy. I think the biggest thing I changed back to was making gifts. I have started to craft again.
Congratulations to the winner!
I really think homemade gifts are the absolute best!
I scored some buckets for free from a couple of local stores to start my garden! They are the black buckets they use to hold the bouquets of cut flowers. I tried a local warehouse store - the frosting they use in the bakery are big buckets with lids. The lady told me (rudely) that if I happen to ask when they empty one, they will sell them for $2 each. Otherwise, they get crushed for the trash. I was hoping to get those buckets to collect honey from our beehives. I will keep trying at other stores with bakeries!
Wow. That’s sad. So cool you collect honey & bee keep.
I don’t understand why people have to act that way…
Congratulations flapdoodlecackleberry!!!!!🎉
Congratulations to the winner! Happy Planners are awesome!
Yes they are!
I love your channel. Cell phones have changed many things especially physical activity! One of the old-fashioned things I've done is to volunteer at our local Repair Cafe where people come to have all manner of items repaired and saved from going to landfill. The repairers also volunteer and the service is free or people are welcome to make donations to the cafe if they can. This was how we grew up, repairing, helping out our neighbours and taking care of what we had and what we owned. We have moved to another state and haven't settled into our next home yet, but once we do I will be looking for a Repair Cafe to volunteer. Whether I need things fixed or not, it's a great place to meet like-minded frugal people.
What a clever and creative idea for that type of Cafe!
I would make one Sunday clean out the fridge crockpot stew or soup and have leftovers for lunch each day until I ran out. Zero food waste.
Sounds great!
I’ve brought back using appliances during off peak hours 👍🏻
So smart!
We want to see more Dixie - please - at the end of your vidios
Oh, OK. She will make a cameo on the next video.💕
Meal Planning & cooking from scratch has been one of the biggest we went back to. Having a grocery list. Great video 😊❤😊
Yes, that helps so much!
Emmy, how pretty you look in that teal color!❤
Oh thank you!
Just processed 24 pints of chicken stock, simmered 2 days , smelled amazing and so golden… made homemade bread, good day out of the rain😊
Sounds great! Good for you!
When my kids were young i had to use coupons all the time. As they left the home and things got easier i stopped using them but now Im trying to use them when I can
That’s great!
Thanks for this video, Emmy and Paul; your flowers are lovely! 😁
So nice of you to say!
You reminded me of a time my Mom had bought a standing rib roast for a special occasion, It was terrible, almost inedible, and an embarrassment for my Mom. She took it back to the butcher and got her money back. It was a great lesson for us kids, you don't have to get angry, yell, or pitch a fit, just ask if there is something they can do for you under the circumstances. you will usually get results. Love your channel , you and Paul are an inspitation.
Yes, exactly right.
Your flowers are beautiful! Those bulbs will be beautiful next year. I'm hoping I can find some perennials on clearance once spring planting season comes to an end!
I hope so too! Have a great weekend, Chris!
We have a backyard garden. Good for us in so many ways.
Oh yes, I’m sure!
I have made my own handkerchief s with tatted edgings and my own cotton face make up pads .
How wonderful!
Also congratulations to the winner- that name is too cute! 😂
Love it back to yard sailing thrift stores to expensive I got clothes for cheap christmas and birthday presents so far hit 7 townwide most fun I ever had 😅got some good deals and haggle along the way saving 75 more bucks 😅
That is awesome!
Thank you Emmy! I spent so much time with my grandparents when I was young and love these old fashioned frugal ways. God bless you and Paul for these beautiful videos! ❤
Thanks so much for the lovely compliment!
Congratulations to the winner!! I used to clip coupons as well, and now I’m watching the sale circulars as well as to go to the store on Monday morning-I usually can find some 50% off protein to either cook up or freeze for later use. I also have a vegetable garden.
Wonderful money saving ideas!
I find that shopping on my phone, makes me be less impulsive to be honest! Ordering from Sam's club what we use instead of driving there, keeps me from going up and down each isle. I only go there once a month to get the stuff that can not be shipped.
Great video ❤
That’s a great way to do it!
I am back to using my bread machine. I had retired the bread machine to the basement when our youngest went to colllege and i was no longer packing lunches daily. Bread has doubled in price so i am back to making it.
That is awesome!
I so look forward to your friday videos! Thank you! That 1 pan noodle dish looks fantastic!
You are so welcome!
One thing I used to do that I’ve just gone back to is making kieffer. It’s like runny yogurt. You make it on the counter…put a kieffer grain in 1/2 cup or cup of milk about 24 hours it’s ready. We use the kieffer for smoothies, to drink at dinner, to make our own bread with. If we get too much keiffer, it can be strained into curds and whey. The curds are a little like cottage cheese and the whey we use to make bread with or for sauerkraut on the counter also. The kieffer provides more beneficial bacteria than yogurt. We save by not buying yogurt or sour cream . The kieffer grains grow and can be shared with others too. You can buy them online.
Wow, that’s super creative. Thanks for sharing.
When our dryer died, I decided to hang dry again. Never missed the dryer since then. We started with a little container garden three years ago. And we started canning, which my grandma did a lot. We can ou own tomatoes, sweet&sour zucchini, apple sauce, red cabbage, apple butter, jams...also beef ragout and cooked minced meat to make quick meals. So delicious, much healthier then the storebought stuff, and it saves time and money as well!
Loooove your channel, you share so much knowledge, spread joy and are a big inspiration! Greetings from Germany 😊
What a lovely comment! Thank you!
When Gram went to the ' drug store', she bought powder, witch hazel, toothpaste, shampoo & Jergens. She would not buy all the fillers we have today because they didn't even exist. She didn't have the time or money to waste on different 'gee-gaws', lol, and wasn't worried about face creams and such. As a virtuous woman, Gram was beautiful without that stuff. Have a blessed day 💖✝
So very true! I don’t think my grandmother ever wore a stitch of make up.
I used to make all my goat milk soaps when the kids were small but we've gotten out of the way of that unfortunately But we're coming back to it now
Oh how wonderful! I bet that soap is fantastic.
Back in the good old days you had a land line and if you missed a call people called back, I leave my phone on the kitchen bench, the only time it is constantly on my person is when I go out and it us in my back pocket. My nanna many years ago bought some cake mixes for a family gift and one was over loaded with baking soda so she wrote to the company and she got a box of various cake mixes and a letter of apology. Thank you Paul for the bulb care demonstration, I will try doing this for the future. I know I was more careful with my grocery shopping in the recession we had to have, an Australian government thing in the early 90's, we had a mortgage, no work and 2 little boys. No we are retired l watch TH-cam's, yours & See Mindy Mom for ideas, budgets and tips. Keep up the great work 👍👍👍👍🌹
Thanks for the support!
Emmy, maybe paul ,your son and your brothers can build a greenhouse for you.
Worth looking at.
You have a lot of sheds on the property already,so why not make one a greenhouse?
That’s such a great idea! Now to find the time lol
🎉💥🎊🎉 Congratulations
Starting today, I am now hang drying all laundry, including towels. I have cut back on how many times per week I get out, to run errands. And I am about to increase the deductible amount on my car insurance, to lower my monthly car insurance rate.
Wonderful money, saving ideas!
I have started keeping a "price book" again. Back in the day I sometimes tracked prices of food we bought at different stores for comparison. Now I've started keeping receipts to note the unit prices of our commonly bought foods, and I use this as a guide in meal planning. It sounds dreadfully nerdy, but figuring out costs per serving, learning the recommended size and number of servings of vegetables, meats, etc., and making good nutrition the top priority has really helped me reset some lazy and indulgent habits. It's something they used to teach in home economics classes, but anyone can still do it! ❤
That’s wonderful!
There was a time when I changed the oil in my car and other maintenance, I also cleaned it inside and out. Then I was so busy going to school, working and caring for kids, pets etc. that I quit. Now I do those things myself again. Saves me a good bit every year.
That’s so wonderful!
I'm back to shopping the sale items primarily. The flyer is my friend
Absolutely! Actually, the flyer is one of my very best friends lol
Shopping in stores is something i abandoned once covid hit. My anxiety was thru the roof. I relied on services like instacart and shipt. I am now reliving precovid trips to the grocery stores on the hunt for deals AND saving on all the fees!!
That’s so wonderful!
I love the flower tips! Thanks for sharing Paul!
Glad you like them!
My Parents passed and I moved into their house with many beautiful large trees. My Mom has her washer water go out to a huge pine tree. It saves so much on water and the tree is doing fine.
What a brilliant idea!
I bake my bread at home no more grocery store bread I save my bacon grease when I use bacon I save my butter wrappers for my baking sheets. I have a drying rack for when I do some last minute wash I have a vegetable garden among my flowerbeds I only go shopping twice a month and I always do all my errands the same time in the same area, saving on gas and time
Wonderful money saving ideas!
Do you have a video on getting seeds from plants like black eyed Susan’s?
Absolutely! Here it is th-cam.com/video/hr6z1EBZazs/w-d-xo.html
I live in a subdivision where a clothesline isn't welcome...but I have gone back to hanging my laundry. Again I am using my two dryer racks that I have had for over 20 years!!!! I'm so glad I still have them! I just plan my laundry time a little differently. It still works. Drying time takes longer, but that's OK.
That’s so wonderful. You are willing to put in the extra effort! Good for you.
Thank you so much for the lovely comment. God bless you as well!
Good afternoon Sweet Couple ❤️❤️
Good evening, dear Pat!
CONGRATULATIONS Flapadoodle!
Love your recipe! Im hanging clothes out on our deck railing as the clothesline fell down! Fixing my husband sandwiches for him to eat while working in the fields, something I did quit doing last year and have started again. No longer buy any pop and drink water!😊
Wonderful money saving ideas!
Batch cooking and freezing part for the future meals.
So smart!
I don’t buy them often, but when I do, I buy good paper towels but cut the sheet in half before use! Two for one!
I really like the idea of putting the phone down in the same place. I often put it down, but then have to call it to find it 😂.
Oh, we’ve all been there lol
One thing my family did when I was a teen in the 90s was shopping at thrift stores and garage sales. I have gotten back to that because I am an odd size, short and larger isn't readily available unless I am willing to pay $50 for 1 pair of jeans, that barely fit right. I have started upcycling and trying to create my own style. My goal is to start selling clothes I have "fixed" or handmade at different sales. Last week I was able to buy 7 pairs of pants and 5 shirts for $45, that is definitely more in my budget!
That’s a wonderful price!
congrats!
Congratulations to the winner! Enjoy your gift!
Hi Emi: I hate shopping online. I hate waiting around all the time for packages to be delivered. I especially hate it when they split one order into 3 different shipments! I also hate it when the shipping company delivers the package but don’t ring the doorbell and sometimes my doorbell camera does not pick up on the motion signal. I don’t shop online much at all for the above reasons! If I could buy it in a store, I would rather go the store.
I never used to use a tracker, but I think going forward, I better! It helps me better plan and stay more focus! I used to use a bullet journal and draw my own pages, unfortunately that was very short lived. Having pre-printed pages is much easier.
Thanks for sharing! Have a wonderful weekend! ❤
