Love you so much Kelsey. Your videos are pure peace. My husband died recently under horrible conditions and my heart is beyond broken. You are a balm for my soul sweet girl. I can never thank you enough. Loved the snow and your sofa is gorgeous. Thank you so much. Barb
I am so very sorry for your loss. Sending you a tight hug. I know the depths that grief takes a person to for I have lost a child. Loss is so hard on our hearts, minds and souls. Take care of yourself.
@ColleenH38 Thank you so much for your very kind words and for the hug. It means a lot. I'm so, so sorry for your loss. No one knows unless they have experienced deep grief how it can rip out your heart. Thank you so much. Kelsey's spirit and her tenderness are such comfort. Barb
Barbara, I am so sorry for your tragic and deep loss. Sometimes grief is not straightforward, it is messy and complicated. I hope you have a good support network and are able to allow yourself time to rest and be very kind to yourself. God bless.
I just love the beauty and calmness of your videos! I love the mix of old and new in your living room! It’s so pretty! Love your new couch! I agree house plants, fresh flowers, warm soups, homemade bread and hot cocoa and snuggles, definitely help winter worth bearing. I am going to make focaccia for my daughter, as she’s been wanting it. Definitely making the hot cocoa mix, to have on hand and am going to try making marshmallows for the first time! Happy winter season to you and your beautiful family!
I do agree that flowers are well deserved in the winter. At 69 I decided to this year I will have a small fresh bouquet each week to smell and enjoy on my table .
Hello Kelsey!!! Sweet video!!! I love your new sofa!!!! And all your dishes you cooked looked delicious 😋Until your next one take care and God bless friend 🙏 😊❤
I love your videos! They are just so calm and peaceful and inspiring at the same time. Thank you for all of the time you spend, wonderful recipes, and ideas you share. They are so much appreciated. oh and that Cinnamon raisin bread from the previous video...chefs kiss it was a hit!
I'm really trying to prioritize rest! I'm focusing on healing as much as possible now before spring hits. I'm feel my body saying "slow down" so I'm doing just that!
I will be making those marshmallows and hot cocoa mix! Plus the soup tonight i have everything but the celery and I made artisan bread last night! Thanks ❤
Hi Kelsey! I always enjoy seeing the beautiful snow ❄️ in videos. We don’t get much snow in Western Washington. My hubby thinks we’re about due so we will see. Your soup looks so delicious and seemed very fitting as a cozy meal! I hope 2025 is off to a great start! God Bless you.
Love the soup looks so simple but tasty. So many recipes have a ton of ingredients, and take so long to prepare. But as a mom who cooks from scratch you understand, simple ingredients make the best meals. Also will try the hot chocolate, love you can make ahead and have ready to go.😊
Whoot whoot... I am number 21 to like, I will share and now commenting. If everyone could do that, there would be more of us to appreciate all the work you put into these videos. Thank you. Hugs from Esquimalt
Your home is beautiful!! Unfortunately I watched this video while I was hungry. I made it to the end but then then got busy in the kitchen. Love the wonderful Bible verse.
You are really good at making everything look visually appealing! I love that, as I am a very visual person. Thanks! The hot chocolate concentrate is brilliant! I’m glad you’re taking time to read. I was feeling guilty yesterday about being so lazy, then I realized, this is rest time, summer is for working hard!
Thanks so much friend! I appreciate that. I too, am a very visual person! You are so right, this time is for rest, recuperating, and replenishing! The business will come all too soon. Blessings!
I was wondering if you have thought about creating a cookbook. Your recipes look so delish. I'm gluten free and I'd love your recipes. Your chowder or stew looked amazing too!
I tried the making the marshmallows tonight and were they ever easy to make! And the flavor was fantastic! I even licked the beater! It was like eating a cloud and has made a believer out of me. I may never buy marshmallows again. They were perfectly fluffy and not overly sweet even though I did use sugar instead of maple syrup. Thank you for sharing the recipe, again.
Oh Kelsey, love your new couch, but I am single and have a furry and I was cringing. I have a white rug in my 1930 stone and wooden home and I can't wait to get rid of it. Loved the recipe and always the channel. Thank you so much. The sofa is beautiful, but so not in my budget as I looked at website. Enjoy and I need more firm.
Thank you! Totally understand! The sofa was a HUGE blessing, I'd been praying for one for months! I'm so grateful. I've always wanted a cream colored couch but worried about it getting dirty, thankfully this one is fully washable and we have instated some new rules like "no eating on the couch" haha. Blessings!
Thank you so much for these delicious looking recipes! Kind of a random question, but do you have a link that you could share for the turtleneck you are wearing while putting the couch together?
Thanks so much, I hope you enjoy! The turtleneck is old, I apologize I don't have a link. I purchased it from Old Navy 2 years ago so perhaps they have a newer version now!
Oh my, that foccacia bread looked amazing. I do low carb and I miss bread so much. The soup looks amazing too. I dont like maple syrup and I am wondering if honey can replace the syrup in most recipes. Going to give it a try. Good video. The new couch is amazing. Bless your sweet family.
So many great recipes to try!!!! I WILL start focaccia tonight for sure. I grew up in Wisconsin and loved to hear the snow crunch under my feet as I walked. We moved to Florida 63 years ago and I miss that sound so much. Thank you for that in your video and I just knew I was going to see beautiful pictures when I saw your vid up. No disappointment to be had! Where did you get that fantastic wooden nativity - large enough for kids to play with. Mine tried to play with the very small figurines in my set but yours would be a great gift for my granddaughter's children next year. I hope you remember where! Also, never saw forks used to degas the dough but it looked like a great way to do it. Thanks, again.
Hello my friend! I hope you enjoyed the recipes! The nativity was made by my dad, I treasure it and my kids love playing with it! Thank you so much, I appreciate you!!!
I do keep it in the fridge. My kids gobble it up within a week so I can't vouch for beyond that but I would get it would be good for up to 10 days in the fridge.
How do you get such lovely sprouts? I recently made some and they were very small-not nice big, long ones like you buy or you got. Then when I cooked them they shrunk to almost nothing😀-Becky
That focaccia bread looks amazing, I have been making a very rustic olive bread, adding three types of olives and rosemary and garlic then baking it in my Dutch oven and everyone loves it when they come to visit. That soups looks delicious, you could also add kale to it, I dehydrate my kale and then I always have it on hand to add to soups. Thank you for all that you do, and bless you and your family. Just wondering, could you add that chocolate mix to cold milk? Our oldest son and his wife bought us a Ninja Creami for Christmas, and I love how simple the ingredients can be adding to it, it says you can add chocolate milk to make a lite icecream, and seeing as we are in a pantry challenge, I don’t have any store purchased chocolate syrup or chocolate milk, and your chocolate mix made me wonder.
Oh my that bread sounds so yummy! You can totally add the concentrate to cold milk, it may be a bitter harder to incorporate but I have done it! Blessings!
Hi! Mostly meat. I do ok eating hard cheeses but keep most other dairy pretty limited. I'll eat eggs as well as a few fruits and veggies I know I tolerate well, but mostly I just eat meat haha!
I have a chicken that has decided to take up residence in my yard. I feed the birds and keep water out for wildlife year round and she showed up one day and I noticed that she slept in a tree here last night. My husband made her a makeshift- safe structure in the middle of the night ( we have been getting hit hard by a winter storm and we have around 15 inches of snow and ice ) it was 9 degrees outside but that’s one reason I love him. Anyways, she is still in the tree and I don’t know what to do. Any suggestions would be appreciated? I figured this was a good place to ask.
Can you reach her? We would probably try and go get her at night and put her in the shelter. Make sure she has something to roost on. At night they are usually are a bit easier to handle.
@ I can’t reach her but Kyle should be able to when he gets home. He made 2 perches for her because he didn’t know where she would feel safest and put some clean straw in there and I put a box with shredded cardboard a good layer of straw. Thanks for the advice.
Be vigilant to watch for your rabbit nibbling on houseplants. Mine were most curious of the ones that were toxic to them. Had to move them up high. They also found it fun to knock them over to dig and roll in the soil. They were great family pets though.
Would you share what foods you've identified as not being good for your gi system? I'm very strictly no garlic (my mom and grandpa couldn't have it either) but I'm trying some more elimination now including onion. I've gluten free for years but still have some things bother me. I know everyone is different and I've looked at low fodmap lists many many times.
It will vary person to person but I’ve noticed a dairy and gluten sensitivity. I can tolerate here and there but not often. “Spicy” foods like garlic, onion and overly seasoned foods are a no no for me. I’ve noticed trouble digesting tomatoes, lettuces and peppers. I keep a high protein diet, choose healthy fats and keep fruit and vegetables to what I’m certain I can tolerate. I keep sugars to only natural types and limit them.
I laughed when you said it’s comical that the bunny does all that cuz that’s actually what a pet rabbit should do… it’s actually terrible to put a rabbit in a cage and only give it pellets and hay. I miss having my home roaming rabbit they are a great pet
I understand that but we never had success with our first rabbit using a litter box! She would use the whole house even after trying all the things and consulting help! I had a good chuckle when Edith hopped away to do her business and then come back to play! It’s awesome!
@ oh wow that’s not very common, rabbits usually are very naturally sanitary and do there business in one spot. But I guess there’s always those random rebels lol
Ummm, your children are correct. Is it even hot cocoa if there’s no marshmallows? 😂 I made herbal marshmallows. I recently made horehound and catnip marshmallows for my daughter when she was under the weather.
Adding milk or cream to a soup always weirds me out. I do it, I know it tastes good, but it just never feels right to do. I mean milk mixed with chicken broth, why does it taste good? 🤔

Riverwood Trading Co!

Love the couch so cozy and comfy looking. You all are so Blessed to have eggs in abundance this time of year. Do you freeze any eggs?
