Nice to take a break. I haven't been back to Lake Tekapo since 1973 but your video brought back the feeling of being there - tussock, mountains, just walking. Thanks.
Ok..to start...best dancers ever!! 😅 Loved the video, great job! What a beautiful spot! Looks like you were driving on a luge track lol! It was nice to see the area from a distance.
Beautiful place at guys. Did you get to the beautiful Lake Alexandrina? I say that Tekapo is where the awesome alpine beauty starts and just keeps getting as you travel south until you reach the jewel in the crown, Milford Sound. Have you guys been to Milford Sound yet?
It's good to get away from the crowds, and stress of work sometimes, even if it is just for a weekend. Btw, I think you must have made that tree's day :)
Not sure what is happening, because I am subscribed... but your videos don't appear on my feed. Or at least not till weeks after you post them... weird.
YAY! Zoomies are back. Thank you for posting. The getaway looked amazing. The colour of the water, of Lake Pukaki, so beautiful. How are you finding the food in the South Island? I know its not as multicultural as the North Island or USA but I'm sure the quality is good. Brian, have you been able to find work in NZ now? Hopefully something decent paying in the IT industry, has come up?
Hi! Luckily I was able to keep my job in the US. :) The food in the South Island can be hit or miss for vegetarians like us, but luckily Dunedin has some great options. It’s one of the reasons we chose this city. :)
Sorry for the break but now I’m ready to start doing more videos! Just needed to live life there for a while. We love the food in Dunedin, but the smaller South Island towns don’t have great vegetarian options.
OMG Maile, learn to behave yourself like a proper lady, will ya? Nah, just kidding. Loved the video, guys! Thanks a lot for sharing your Aotearoa adventures with the stuck-at-home crowd.
Hi I am a kiwi living in California in the USA though originally from Taranaki in NZ and sub with Its a drama couple but also with kiwiamericans who is a US family of six living in Wellington NZ who you might be interested in reaching out to as support from fellow Americans as they do some interesting vids on differences between US and NZ and who also mentioned they could not find good american/mexican food till they found a place in Auckland that they loved Also mentioned that Cosco is opening a store in Auckland in a couple months As a side note from a kiwi Thank you so much for moving to Dunedin to work as a nurse with such experience in your area of expertise
Thank you for the kind words! I have seen kiwiamericans and we are good friends with It's a Drama. I will have to check out the video on good Mexican in Auckland! Hope that California is treating you well!

Thanks for the video. Tekapo has changed so much in the last 10-15 years. I must stay there when I'm down south later in year.

The Maori name of NZ is Aotearoa which means the "land of the long white cloud" so expect a lot of clouds, rain, and wind, cheers
