I'm not really too active in the comments, but have full heartedly enjoyed every deck tech and video you have done. This was no different, great work and seems like such a cool deck, even though Vampires are not at the top of my favorite tribe list (that being held firmly by the werewolves) but this was a blast to watch all the same. Keep up all the amazing work Dev, and we will see you on the next one. Good luck to everyone on the giveaway, someone gonna get a super sweet deck.
It’s insane how infectious Dev’s passion is. I don’t even play standard, not any 60 card format. (Edh player through and through) and Dev’s vids are still an instant click for me. ❤️
I wrote this comment before the giveaway was announced and I gotta say, I’ve never won a giveaway but I’m crossing my fingers on this one. I want that commander deck a lot/collector boosters for this set. GL to everyone else hoping to snag a win! ❤️ you Dev
I’ve seen a lot of vampire decks lately and almost none use Nighthawk Scavenger which is a missed opportunity. Such a solid card in this format that just works with the vampire tribal theme.
Dev, been watching you for years now. You are my go to source for spoiler season, and brews each set. Keep up the great work man! You make me want to create my own magic TH-cam channel!
The awkward Dev endings are so endearing! Vamps look like a ton of fun to play, and I can't wait to get home and try them out. Great deck tech as always good sir!
Having been away from MtG for 20+ years, this channel has been incredibly helpful getting back into it. Also, well done coming up with a vampire deck that doesn't... suck. I'll see myself out...
I have just gotten back into MtG in the past couple of months, after a 24 year absence. I have found that you are hands down the best content provider out there. Keep doing what you do man, you are the best!
Dev, my favorite deck you have ever made (also won me the most fnm's) was your vampire madness for Eldritch Moon standard. For old times sake I will definitely be building this deck! I love rocking vampires in standard.
I'm still relatively new to magic I picked it up about 2 years ago when I was deployed to Poland. Your videos have definitely helped me understand proper deck construction so thank you very much! Keep up the great work with the videos!
I’ve played magic on and off since M12. It seems like I get back into it every fall. Anyways, I found your channel maybe 3 years ago, and it is always one of my favorite reasons for returning to the hobby. You really have one of the greatest youtube channels and it’s a shame more people will never experience it since they don’t play magic. It feels like I’m just chillin with my good bud, Dev, and talkin about the best game ever made.
Dev, I *always* watch to the end because I need to be reminded to spread love and be kind. (also you have to end the video on that, none of the nonsense from this vid)
Florian is quite possibly my favorite card from the set. I like the early game decision that it forces your opponent to either lose a guy or let you get the best of the top 3 (or more) cards of your library. Also love the outro.
Nothing better to leave a comment about than thanking you for all the rankings and speculation/opinions! They've really helped over the years while playing.
Hey Dev, Long time viewer, I lika da magic! You helped me not feel helpless in my standard meta when I started playing standard in tournaments like 4 or 5 years ago when it was just me and my cat in my apartment. Now, my girlfriend and I play magic all the time at home! (She has 3 cats, so together we have 4. We also love the Nine Lives art). Thank you for the content, Dev! Your personality & knowledge is what keeps us coming back! Peace & much love.
Hey Dev, love your deck techs and cheesy jokes! Keep up the good work and thank you for giving back to your community through these giveaways; its nice to see creators interacting with and caring about their fans.
Loving the pun as always dev! Your thought process is great and your hard work on your videos is very appreciated. I think Florian is sneakily good. With the burn spells plus the fact that it is an agro deck means you will see a bunch of cards. Not sure how I feel about roil eruption tho? I agree that this deck will definitely get better with next set. I also appreciate your caring nature with this giveaway, very kind of you. Good luck to all!
You’re one of the few mtg youtubers I actually enjoy watching. No offense to the others but you seem much more like the people I talked to at the card shops when I played in paper. Keep up the good work man!
You have a big heart, Dev. Kills me to always see you beating yourself up. You always tell to us to spread love and be kind, which is great because we could all use a bit more of that. I would love to see your spread some of that love and kindness on yourself.
You're just such a good person to have in the community. I've never even played standard and I still watch almost every video of yours for the puns and the pets and the feelgoods. I've followed your content since you made a budget deck tech with Impact Tremors. :D Thank you for being a good egg. I'm really glad WotC is starting to send you previews and a bit of nice stuff. I hope you pupper responds well to meds so you get to hang out and play for years to come.
The best thing I like about this list is that it provides a solid foundation to build now for what is bound to be a more powerful deck after Crimson Vow.
Always great to watch your Deck Techs! My very first deck I built was your GB Saprolings, and it quickly became one of the scariest decks in the group. Gotta love killing your friends simultaneously without even swinging!
I am a retired competitive player, and you are the only magic content I watch regularly as your style and deck techs keep me tapped in at level Im interested in. The aristocrats combos are making me want to play again…. So I’d love that commander deck, I have no cards printed recently.
Being a fairly new player, having a low-key, insightful resource like Dev has been so nice to ease into learning about the complexities of the game while having a good time! Still have yet to get into paper Magic though and I'd be honored to have my first physical deck come from someone I respect. Might have to take a trip down to my LGS and find a playgroup! Thanks for all your work, Dev; keep it up 🤙
Just got to mtg last year. Converted my janky OG Innistrad vampire deck to a commander deck. It’s called Team Edward. Was that ref more timely 11 years ago? Yes. Will I change it? Never. So this jank made me real happy. Keep up the good work!
I first got into your content with a WB vampire deck in Ixalan standard, so this feels kinda nostalgic in a weird way. Always loved vampires and glad to see a deck for them.
Dev, love your videos! I'm enjoying mono white on Arena right now: 4x of Charmed Stray, Clarion Spirit, Leonin Lightscribe, Fateful Absence, and Homestead Courage; 3x Clever Luminancer, Guiding Voice, Show of Confidence; 2x Beaming Defense, Disenchant, Kabira Takedown, You Hear Something, Expel, Felidar Retreat, Cave of the Frost Dragon. Throw in a Relic Amulet, a few other cards (still tweaking those last few slots), and some lessons in the sideboard and you can have an explosive turn three or four if you have 2 lightscribes on the field and a few Homestead Courage in hand. Anyway, keep doing what you do and I'll keep watching every video you put up :)
P.S. I've been waiting for your showdown with CGB. It's been months since you announced that you would be battling and I am HYPE about the mathchup! Love you Dev!
I'd only be interested in a collaboration on a deck tech or something between the two...I think CGB would be too obnoxious in an actual matchup. A set review would be great
Good looking deck tech. I like the way you let us know why certain cards weren't included. Answering all the questions before they're asked. Another enjoyable video.
Dev! Been a big fan of your techs for a long time, love the passion and care you put into sharing the love. Would love to see more Arena VODs of your builds to see them in action! You’re a genuinely endearing and entertaining player and those are few and far between in my book. Cheers hermano
what up Dev long time subscriber here, think the first video I watched of yours was the Bant Eldritch Moon Deck tech with Sylvan Advocate and Tamiyo Field Researcher, after hearing Chrono Trigger intro and seeing lil Zigs I knew this would be a fav channel of mine, thanks for the content and while I no longer play standard I still always watch the videos just to gain some perspective on card evaluation and just to see what's shaking in the format anyways, so, yes heres a comment for the TH-cam algorithm and a shot at some free cardboard crack! lol, anyways, thanks for the positivity you bring the community, always refreshing to see a genuinely happy creator like yourself man.
Definitely like the build for this deck. Did a draft last night with a couple friends and built a vampire deck with this concept in mind. Considered building an actual deck after and now I’m definitely going to. Just subscribed and will now be going back and checking out all of your videos. Keep the content coming!
My favorite standard deck I have yet played was a variant of The Professor's rakdos vampire deck in Shadows over Innistrad. This deck gives me very similar vibes. I haven't been this excited to try a deck out in years. Thank you so much!
I was never a big vampire fan, but lately I have been giving it some thought. After seeing this deck tech I just might have to give them a go. As always great video, your channel is why I always come back to MTG. It also helps me strategies when I build my decks. Keep on being you Dev. P.s. your puns are also why I love this channel
I've loved your channel for years! I know I've told you before but this was the first TH-cam channel I ever subscribed to. Keep the great deck techs coming!
Great stuff as always Dev! Really enjoyed the What we do in the Shadows nod at the beginning of the video. Looking forward to crushing some Rakdos Vamps on Arena...
Hey Dev, I just started playing magic again after a 20 year hiatus and your channel is by far the most informative and entertaining that I've found. Keep up the good work! Also, I'd love a commander deck. Just sayin'!
Thanks for being with us during the last year! It has been a hard year. I always love your deck techs. Miss when you did 4 decks for under 20 dollars. or something like that!
Look at you trying to sneak in an extra haunted ridge. That’s one way of making your mana base more consistent! But I love vampires, can’t wait to see what is coming up in crimson vow. Great content as per usual
First time leaving a comment, though I've been subscribed for a good while! Really awed by your deck building ability and how you fundamentally grasp the utility of each piece in the puzzle (for example, the use of Roil Eruption to support Florian). I think one of my weaknesses when deck-building is not seeing how one win-con might require a balancing element to make it possible. Anyway, absolutely love your content Dev, but more than that, love your philosophy and outlook. Spread love and be kind should enter common parlance as a greeting and farewell!
Not terribly surprised about Hungry for More not being good enough for the deck. It's very similar to a card in Eternal called "Piercing Grief" which was practically the same except it effectively had flashback for zero (when it died the first time, it goes into the top 10 cards of your library and on drawing it you cast it for free and it cantrips), and that card wasn't even close to viable when it was mono-black. Great vid as always! :D
A few years ago, I sold all my cards because my family was growing and we needed some extra money at the time. I took a big step away from magic, because I didn’t have the time and I couldn’t keep up with the cost of it. I just recently discovered that magic arena is a thing! I started playing at the end of the adventures of the forgotten realms set, and it’s been a blast just being able to play some magic on my phone! Once it became a bigger part of my day, I looked up some TH-cam videos and I’ve found your channel, and I really enjoy and appreciate your content! I don’t need the cards for the giveaway, but if I somehow won I’d let my kids play with them and I will use the code for Arena. Feel free to give the gift to somebody else, but I just wanted to say that I really appreciate what you do man!
Dev, I like the cut of your jib. Vamps are fun. I just got into Commander because a friend wanted me to play with him. What he really meant was, “Hey! you should totally play this format so I can crush your soul with these super spicey decks I’ve built!!” 😂. I have a good time. Thanks for the vid.
Hey Dev, I've been a long time watcher and sub. My friends and I stopped getting together to play commander a few years ago but now we're picking it up again. I miss the old RTR standard when we all started. We we're 10 friends so each of us picking a girl was pretty much perfect and of course I chose Rakdos. I still love hyper aggressive fast decks with unexpected reach through burn. Now being another state from all my friends down in Georgia you know we were able to play Commander together is through webcam and tabletop simulator. With his black red vampire deck you just showed me I'm thinking of taking it out and taking it to my LGS to maybe meet some new friends with the same love of magic as I have. Keep up the amazing content I honestly watch every single video.
Thanks for this video! I was very close to the creature portion of this list already, but I appreciate the follow up thoughts on what didn't make the cut. You saved me from some bad choices, I think.
As a vampire lover definitely gonna build this, been playing Mono Black Vamps in Historic. Was thinking of trying to get Tenured Ink-caster into a standard deck (works well in that historic deck). Dev, keep with the non-scripting thing it's what I love about your videos!
Super glad to see the deck exists, even if we're waiting on some additional support. I really love the idea of the dimensionality cards like Florian and Adversary already bring to the table, gonna have to give it a shot!
I really like your take on the vampires. Looks like a sweet deck. I played with the 3/3 first strike in draft and I thought it over performed there. I was hoping that it might translate into some possible standard playability. I'm glad you included it and I look forward to playing it more.
Nice of you to share the products that wizards gifted you. In my opinion they should be sending you product more regularly as well as a card to spoil every set. After all you have some of the best magic content on TH-cam.
Thank you for all of your content. I enjoy all the jokes. I appreciate your thoughts on Frost Bite as I am struggling with the same decision in a different deck and now I am going to try including it with the Faceless Havens. I misseed getting to see the deck in action at the end of the video. Keep up the great work and the good times rolling!
Whenever I see a new video pop up, I click on it and my day immediately gets better. Thank you for the consistent quality content and positive vibes. Much love, Dev!
I totally agree with your assessment about the dual colored sorcery not being included. I tried working around it during a draft. Scrapped it after the first loss. Did well after that.
Dev, love your videos. Arena has helped me get back into standard and I’m rocking out your meathook massacre deck. I also love free stuff and that commander deck would be awesome!
First - I LOVE the opening and the INTRO SONG!!! Second - I'm HERE for the puns Third - I love this deck, I so want to build this in paper...rakdos, in addition to golgari is my favorite type of deck to play. And I really missed vampires from Ixalan. Fourth - I love the non traditional ending....so fantastic LOL Thank you for doing the giveaway...stay awesome my dude! -actual_catlady
Definitely looking forward to crimson vow. I started playing during shadows and played zombies, vamps and werewolves so being able to play those decks in standard again is super sweet!
Dude! Great video. Love the vampires and totally spoopily appropriate for the season. I'm no expert on M:tG, so your videos are really helpful. Thanks!
Hey Dev! I've enjoyed watching your various "deck tech" videos and hearing your thoughts on the strategies and synergies of each card you run in them. It definitely helps when trying to figure out what's good in Standard on Arena. I'm curious to see what new vampire cards Crimson Vow will bring; hoping for a Blood Artist reprint or something similar!
Been watching you for years my dude, I'm so happy to see you grow into such a cool channel! Keep up the great work! Also I'm playing this really cool mardu dragons "control" deck in standard its petty deece!
Have thoroughly enjoyed your material for what I feel like is a matter of years now .. I love how down to earth and just genuinely friendly you seem whereas soooo many people in your shoes, with your mass of TCG knowledge, they always seem to be condescending pricks. Please never stop doing what you do!!
My very first MTG deck was Vampire tribal back in 2014, and so was my first EDH deck in 2016. Rakdos never gets enough love~ Crossing fingers for that EDH pre-con 🙏🙏🙏
Love the deck techs, I’ve been running the nullpriests because i think the menace helps get the damage trigger and lifelink give you a little more resilience + kicker
Dev my dude! Been subscribed since I think 2014-2015. You were the very first MTG content creator I subscribed to and I try to like all your videos even when I wasn’t into MTG. The first video I watched was your modern deck tech on pathway arrows death! Still have the deck in paper as well!
Nighthawk Scavenger was my favorite card from Zendikar and I’m super excited to finally play it some where. I’ve been jamming that in so many decks that have just been bad lol. Keep up the puns as much as possible regardless of how bad. Even if I’m mad at myself for laughing at it, everyone can do with an extra smile through the day
I'm not really too active in the comments, but have full heartedly enjoyed every deck tech and video you have done. This was no different, great work and seems like such a cool deck, even though Vampires are not at the top of my favorite tribe list (that being held firmly by the werewolves) but this was a blast to watch all the same. Dev is cool and good
It’s insane how infectious Dev’s passion is.
❤️ you Dev
Just want to put it out there that I've been appreciating the little skits and jokes at the beginning of recent videos. They work! They're funny!
I’ve seen a lot of vampire decks lately and almost none use Nighthawk Scavenger which is a missed opportunity. Such a solid card in this format that just works with the vampire tribal theme.
The whole reason I want to build this deck right now if b/c Scavenger is a house.
thanks for making videos dev, they helped me get into magic! and i always go to your vids to help me before draft. keep doing what you’re doing!
Dev, been watching you for years now. You are my go to source for spoiler season, and brews each set. Keep up the great work man! You make me want to create my own magic TH-cam channel!

I've been with you 100% on the vamp dragon since day one. Love this deck tech! Thanks for the excellent content as always!
Idk if it's just the type of decks I play. But once that thing hits the board, I can never get rid of it, ever.

Ok the You’re Dead cover was great and such a fun connection to What We Do In The Shadows (an amazing show and movie)
I think I've been watching since BFZ? Kaladesh? I've really enjoyed the budget friendly nature of this channel. Great content, Dev!
Nice intro and references! "What we do in the shadows" is perfect
LRR and yourself are the only places I check out magic content, loving your work
Super glad to see the deck exists, even if we're waiting on some additional support. I really love the idea of the dimensionality cards like Florian and Adversary already bring to the table, gonna have to give it a shot!
Super cool of you to spread the love. Love the channel so much!
I really like your take on the vampires. Looks like a sweet deck. I played with the 3/3 first strike in draft and I thought it over performed there. I was hoping that it might translate into some possible standard playability. I'm glad you included it and I look forward to playing it more.
You’re the best Dev, giveaway or not this video deserves the algorithm juice!! Never stop being your wonderful self.
Very nice/cool of you to share your stuff Dev. It would be really cool to win and play the commander deck. Keep up the great work!
Interesting version of a standard vampires deck. All the other versions I've seen don't use snowlands. Thanks for the decktech!
Been with you since day one always have and always will be my favourite MTG TH-camr! This deck needs more madness! Love from Australia!
The production values are soaring around here. Keep up the great work and good vibes Dev!
I was waiting for this, I was trying to build this on Arena, but didn't want to waste wild cards. Thanks for a good template my dude.
First - I LOVE the opening and the INTRO SONG!!!
Second - I'm HERE for the puns
Third - I love this deck, I so want to build this in paper...rakdos, in addition to golgari is my favorite type of deck to play. And I really missed vampires from Ixalan.
Fourth - I love the non traditional ending....so fantastic LOL
Thank you for doing the giveaway...stay awesome my dude!

Thanks!
I have loved your deck techs since you did a black burn in dominaria standard. This deck seems great, can't wait to try it.
I have been waiting for this deck ever since Rakdos vampires in Shadows Over Innistrad rotated out. Love the deck! Can't wait to try this on Arena!
My very first MTG deck was Vampire tribal back in 2014, and so was my first EDH deck in 2016. Rakdos never gets enough love~
Crossing fingers for that EDH pre-con 🙏🙏🙏
Love your deck techs! Glad they are back. The standard black hole of the last 6 months is gone!
Recently gotten back into MTG after nearly a couple decades off. Really enjoying your videos!
I always look forward to your deck techs. They've helped me get to Mythic and are pretty original.
Love the deck techs, I’ve been running the nullpriests because i think the menace helps get the damage trigger and lifelink give you a little more resilience + kicker
You've always been a great inspiration for not only Standard, but a non-ending source of positive vibes.
I really appreciate your videos and insights into various cards and decks! Thanks for all you do, and sending love and healing vibes to your doggo
Thanks Dev, for all the deck techs and insights into standard. I value your opinion highly
Dev you are such a great Person for the mtg community. Your decklist looks really thought through
Dev my dude!
Even if I’m mad at myself for laughing at it, everyone can do with an extra smile through the day
I was initially disappointed in the Vamps during spoilers, but this looks good!
Definitely going to try it once I've opened more packs lol.
