Just want to point out that I didn't forget Lupine Prototype. Tried it, and it felt awkward, a little. We want to go really fast and Prototype usually takes our 2nd turn, meaning we net precisely nothing on turn 2. Boo. This isn't to say it's bad, but I didn't personally like it in this.

this definitly looks like a really tastey Deck. Can't wait to take this to FNM. There's a few people that really have to get creative with dealing with your Devil Impact setup. I've done a really nasty play that included two impact tremors, pyromancers goggles, and Devils Playground. I was pretty sad about the upcoming rotation until I saw this. Thanks dude!

I've been playing this deck lately with a lot of success. The big turn 3-5 combos are so much fun and usually leave the opponent shocked. Since the deck is trying to win so quickly, I put 2 Demonic Pacts in and I love it even more. It's so exciting to get it out - even on turn 4. I've only had it backfire once, and it was my own fault.
i am also in favor of hearing more about this deck =] my buddy is a zombie and they are gettin all the love in Amonkhet and i need an edge. unrelated- thanks again for all the great videos and good vibes
I'm really excited for this archetype. I've been pushing for it ever since I saw falkenrath gorger. I actually made a really awesome legacy deck around this idea that can push out a lot of creatures and flood your opponent.
I've been playing around with my B/R Vampire Madness (or "Malkavian," to steal a term from Vampire: the Masquerade) deck since Shadows first dropped and I absolutely love it. Madness allows for such interesting decision-making and flexible aggression. My only regret as that there isn't room for even more 2-drops.
I just started a madness deck too. This is pretty awesome mechanic I use "Call the Bloodline" in case with StromKirk Captain. So I get first strike on all my vampire tokens with life link, which is sweet and after looking at this video Olivia, Mobolized for War this will be awesome with non vampires.

I don't know if anyone has mentioned this but Olivia can't cause blood hall priest to activate both triggers because you have to have the one card to discard to give it haste. So only one trigger
Stack triggers properly. Priest ETBs, and the check for his trigger goes on the stack. Olivia also triggers, and you put her trigger on the stack above Priests. Olivia's trigger goes off first, you discard a card, put a counter on the Priest, and THEN Priests' ETB ability resolves and sees that you have no cards in hand. It works, and it's just a simple stacking of triggers.
603.4. A triggered ability may read “When/Whenever/At [trigger event], if [condition], [effect].” When the trigger event occurs, the ability checks whether the stated condition is true. The ability triggers only if it is; otherwise it does nothing. If the ability triggers, it checks the stated condition again as it resolves. If the condition isn’t true at that time, the ability is removed from the stack and does nothing. Note that this mirrors the check for legal targets. This rule is referred to as the “intervening ‘if’ clause” rule. Curious if any/what changes you'd make to make it stronger (possibly tier 1 if possible) even if it pushed it out of the "budget realm"? Can't wait for the Spirits and U/B Zombie deck tech!!
A note after weeks of testing: I've run Stromkirk Occultist, and tried changing her out for Olivia's Bloodsworn, and either IS fine, but depending on your local meta you may want one or the other. If you're playing long game, I personally prefer Bloodsworn for mostly constant Haste, and the Occultist is better in an aggro race, at least in my experience. :)
What do you think about adding a copy or two of Liliana, Heretical Healer to the deck? Her +1 ability gives you another repeatable 0-mana discard outlet while also screwing with your opponent's hand, plus she helps give the deck a bit of safety by drawing fire.
I would love to see a revised EMN Jund Midrange deck. I'm running one with Dark Dwellers, Sin Prodders, Gitrogs, Tireless Trackers, and Advocates, and it holds its own against G/W Tokens.
I would make room for Incorrigible Youths honestly. The card is just insane. I remember playing against vampires at my FNM, and a turn 3 4/3 hasty guy is hard to come back from, especially in multiples.
Also, Stromkirk occultist seems really good. I might even consider making this more mid-rangey. Something about having no cards in your hand with any combination of the following: stromkirk occultist, lupine archetype, sin prodder, blood hall priest, seems like a really good position to be him in the late half of a grindy game. But idk, haven't done any playtesting yet.

Hey brother, can you do a Madness deck for modern? I have been tinkering on one since SOI and now since Eldritch Moon gave us a bunch more great vamps, at least for ideas, I think we can pull something off in modern and make a format-staple deck. Dark Withering, Muck Drubb...all the other good madness cards and cards that would work with them...oldschool U/G madness worked like a toolbox, and I have been trying to get to something like that. I was considering U/G/B...Delerium works GREAT with madness, as you can almost get it on demand on t2, sometimes t1 with a fetch and a Faithless Looting. So Grim Flayer looks amazing then, as does Noose Constrictor obviously. A Wild Mongrel with Reach, no color-change? YES PLEASE! lol Then needless to say Tarmogoyf fits the bill and can just get monstrous uber fast as well. Plus we got some good blue draw spells that work off the graveyard, like Take Inventory and Scour the Laboratory.
What about adding Malevolent Whispers with madness and Indulgent Aristocrat? Take control of two attacking creatures, block one with the other and kill the one, then sac creature that you just took control of and give +1/+1 to all? Also, what about enchantments like Stensia Masquerade or Call the Bloodline?

When that was spoiled, I really thought that that was the absolute best piece of removal for a deck with as much incidental discard as this one. Would that be the slot that you have lightning axe in? Also, had you tried out Olivia's Bloodsworn as a two drop? I had always thought that the ability to give your guys haste with any excess mana made it an auto include in the hyper aggressive madness decks. Thoughts?

i'd consider adding a couple Elusive tormentor to the sideboard. Just because they die only to languish if you can activate it and could be a nice tool against control players.

Increase Bloodhall priests and remove Olivia and stormkirk occultist, add in Ravenous Bloodseeker and Incorrigible Youths to embrace the hellbent state that madness quickly puts you in. Use your madness abilities on the opponents turn for maximum fun and minimum risk

I wonder if Wizard tribal will be a thing in eldritch moon? You'd probably have to be Jeskai colours to gain access to stormchaser and relector mage. Run Jori en, Harbinger of the tides, halimar tidecaller, with some awaken spells, and of course docent of perfection.
I have a r/b vampire deck for standard and I played it a lot. In my opinion incorregible youths are so powerfull, i would put just 2 copys instead of stromkirk occulist, what do u think? The rest of the deck is great, thats what i was thinking about geting when the new edition cames. Another thing, whats your opinion about collective brutallity and collective defiance in this deck? So here's what I'm thinking. Indulgent Aristocrat, Vampire Cutthroat. Drana, Kalitas, Markov Crusader, and Defiant Bloodlord for creatures. Then Alms of the Vein, Murderous Compulsion, Ruinous Path and Murder for spells. Mortuary Mire seems like it would be decent in this too.

With Falkenrath Gorger, if a card already has madness less then its mana cost, does Falkenrath replace its madness cost?
+Forbes Purcell it will have two different madness costs as options and you will be able to pick the lower or higher one depending on the situation

I like it!!!! Fast, Budget, synergy, and so cool to play! No Stensia Masquerade? Too slow? Love that spell.
If you don't want to pump out the money for Drana you can just use Stensia Masquerades. I have no idea why it's not in this deck.
Masquerade slows us down, plain and simple. We need to spend that three mana on a creature or on fast burn/pump. It's just too slow

No. The discard triggers one or the other. You can't use the same discard for both.

All I couldn't get for this was an Olivia and 3/4 judgments, so I put in baby liliana and then 3 twin bolts. Still, deck seems pretty sweet!

It's in the board, mostly in case of Lambholt Pacifist flipping on their turn 3. Also good against Avacyn

eh, we have 8 duals. It's something you have to worry about sometimes, but if you can get an untapped Foreboding Ruins on turn 1, anything is possible

I would really like to play youths, but for speed the deck needs creatures that madness in for 2 mana
Would you consider making Mono-B Lifelink/Vampires? I actually think it could be a thing right now
I'd be interested in a B/W Vampires D/T too tbh... ... heck, maybe even mono-Red ?
So here's what I'm thinking. Indulgent Aristocrat, Vampire Cutthroat. Drana, Kalitas, Markov Crusader, and Defiant Bloodlord for creatures. Then Alms of the Vein, Murderous Compulsion, Ruinous Path and Murder for spells. Mortuary Mire seems like it would be decent in this too.
csys690 For mono black? .... hmm i'dd probably go: Indulgent, Cutthroat, Heir, Dragoon, Stromkirk, Visitor, Drana, Kalitas, Call the Bloodline, Alms, Compulsion, +more removal ... (and with all the lifelink probably Bloodbond Vampire is also a good one, deffo one for the budget build at least)
Yeah, I'm going for a straight aggro strategy and ditching Madness altogether.
csys690 so you will be 'discarding' madness then? ... guess it goes into exile and you can cast it for the madness costs anyways, good call ;D ... Alms is nice 'i think'.
@strictlybettermtg is vampire still playable for standard really like this build and want to play vampires as competitive as possible
