Even though what he went through was heartbreaking,he still made the choice to do these heinous crimes. He hated how Pandit and the police officer took advantage of him and mistreated him yet he literally took in people who were weaker than him and later killed them💔
I would to like to point out that the Butcher of Delhi is definitely a case of someone whose case definitely presents strong evidence ,of an ordinary person being moulded into a monster. If we look at the abuse that he suffered at the hands of Pandit and the police, the seeds for his eventual face turn in prison were sown then.
I am so glad you kept the subtitles! Even as a person with average hearing I like having subs, but they are so essential to hearing impaired people, especially those that cannot read lips easily or are not native english speakers. Just another reason, why I love your channel 💜
I'm learning English and i started watching your videos mainly because of listening to your English as i find your pronunciation very clear and easy to listen. But now I'm so invested into those crime stories . Really appreciate you for putting subtitles as well since i can easily check the words that i didn't understand.

As a Bihari whose hometown is nearby his hometown Im really thankful for you covering this case. It is really one of a kind case because if again he is given such oppurtunity he would continue to take revenge because of his believes that people who look down on Biharis, liars and bad people dont deserve space on Earth. Recently in 2023 my mother had even counselled him and he still shows no remorse and calls the Indian Police and Justice System rigged but yes he keeps to himself for the most.He was granted parole in 2023 aroumd september for 3 months as he wanted to find a suitable groom for his daughter.
It's mind blowing how cavalier this man was with people's lives. He was a criminal himself, stealing and undoubtedly lying too, so who was he to judge another man on their actions? The sense of entitlement, that he could cleanse someone of their sins or that it was in any way his job, is just terrifying. You never know who you could be talking to, kindness is not always kind......his wasn't.
I feel bad for him going through all those harsh experiences since he was young and not receiving the love from his family. But but that being said what he did is terrible. Humans have a choice at the end of the day to be whoever they want and chosing to play god and do whatever you think is right is messed up. Human lives are precious. I still hate Pandit and the policeman who took advantage of him by taking his hard earned money and pushing his buttons.
I've just discovered you channel and I have to thank you: not just because you talk about interesting facts, but even because there are subtitles: i'm italian and i'm trying to improve my english with video like these and the subtitles, especially in the lenguage i want to learn, are really useful. And as someone who just recently had a fight with someone of my friends i kinda feel bad hitting them (obviously i was battered later but still) anger rage are all momentary feeling (for most atleast) Mr Jha just took it to the extreme...

At this point we should ask the question who is the real murderer. Him? A victim of his parents, the society and police. His parents? Who in every other way practically abandoned him. The society? Where he was seen as a lower class whose only purpose is to be used by others. Or the police? Who bullied him to his breaking point.
If only he was born with no such factors, this wouldn't have turned to this. It's people's fault or rather the society he was born into. Small negative factors such as a lack of affections from our parents can lead into "not knowing" how to empathize with one another then will eventually, for worse, commit such a heinous crime.
I'm not taking the killer side but if he was a dormant danger, if he was that monsterous he would've killed his own family, his parents who didn't give him attention, ig the parents would've been his first victim. There's a saying "Hurt people, hurt people"
I'm not sure I like the black and white concept of "Did this persons environment influence then to do this or were they always evil?" That way of viewing things lacks much needed nuance. I don't think mist criminals are one or the other, rather a mixture of both in most cases. Because yes this man was horribly abused and exploited but that's not uncommon for lower caste members and the crime rate amoung lower caste members is not actually higher than other castes - particularly if you take into account that the Dalit aren't even allowed to TOUCH the items of higher caste members or they can literally be beaten on the streets. He still CHOSE to brutally end the lives of innocent people who were in no way involved. This wasn't revenge it was anger and violence. He was lashing out and using people more vulnerable than himself to vent his frustrations. To say that his actions were due to tragedy is a massive disservice to the literal millions of people going through abuse who do not go around taking it out on other people. Some people who are abused do turn to violence themselves but I don't believe that this is the case with this man. Not when he claims he needs to end 8 people a year to feel "satisfied". That's not societal. That's a disturbed desire to harm others. As someone who has been abused and exploited due to poverty I completely understand how dehumanizing and frustrating and utterly humiliating that sort of thing can be I have never once thought about ending the life of someone who made my life worse for their own amusement or monetary gain. I get being angry and resentful and honestly even deeply antisocial to a degree. But I will never understand someone who decides that since they suffered now others must suffer as well. And while I am American I think many lower caste members might agree with that sentiment even if it may be for different reasons. These people are under constant abuse and are regularly targeted by criminals of higher castes in a deeply corrupt system and they retain their humanity. I'm aware of the cultural reasons that lower castes would be reluctant to fight back but that's kind of my point. There's just not a lot of compelling evidence that social influence matters all that much when it comes to someone's motivation to end others lives. With that being said I have heard of another story about a young Dalit boy - he was only 8 - who I believe DID end lives mostly due to not quite understanding the value of life based on what he saw in his surroundings coupled with some clearly untreated mental health concerns. But that is strongly tied to the fact that he was a very young child who lacked the context to really grasp why what he was doing was so wrong. I believe that because an eight year olds brain is still very much developing and the input he got from his surroundings just wasn't very healthy growing up in a Dalit ghetto. But he also didn't lie about what he'd done because he DID understand that lying was a sin. I don't think he had the mental capacity at the time to actually understand the horror of what he was doing and it shows in his extremely harrowing interviews. The differences between these two cases lie in the perpetrators understanding of their actions. A child is more likely to have commit a heinous avt due to outside influence. But a grown man claiming he "needs to end eight lives a year" to feel satisfied is simply making a choice based on anger and frustration stemming from prior abuse. He knew for a fact what he was doing was wrong. He fully understood what he was doing and that the people he ended were just as human as he was. A corrupt caste and justice system may have fueled his anger but there's not a cultural precedent for him choosing to become a criminal of the variety he landed on. He was fully aware of how much damage he was causing with his actions. Nuance is really important in this case if people are going to posit that class had anything to do with his actions. Because otherwise you run into the issue of potentially framing lower caste members as being more inclined towards violent crime due to their status alone. And that's just not true. This man did this because he was angry and he wanted to. And anger just doesn't lead to ending people's lives inherently. There were internal factors for him choosing to end so many lives. And it had nothing to do with his abuse and exploitation at the hands of higher caste members. Which is also likely why he targeted those vulnerable to him and took pictures of them at their most vulnerable before harming them. Which speaks to the acts themselves having less to do with anger over injustice and more to do with seeking a feeling of power over others.
