What rubs me the wrong way about this is that no matter how you look at it, it's a bunch of men in their late 20s-early 30s taking advantage of a minor. Even if they claimed that it was the girls asking for souvenir photos of kissing, that doesn't matter. As an adult with a moral compass, saying no should be an automatic response. Whether or not the assault happened (in my opinion, it did), just the fact that these men are adults means that they have a responsibility to protect minors, not exploit them.
I can't believe that I watched these men daily as an elementary student and looked up to them because of their noontime show. When I entered my late teens, I found out about this and was truly disgusted.

It is very wrong but we can consider the fact that at that time, it was prolly acceptable. A child has no business being in soft core porn films but Pepsi was one of many at that time.

@Schroberry You're right. Kids shouldn't be in that industry, and that's a big part of why Pepsi was not believed as a victim. However, in 1985, the death penalty was still imposed on r@pists. This means that regardless of whether they were a minor or not, if it was r@pe, it was unacceptable under the law.
Her being in the softcore industry doesn't excuse their actions. And yes I truly agree that they shouldn't have been in that industry in the first place.
Even if it was okay (it's never ok tho) back then to have intimate relations with a literal child since the age of consent at the time was still just 12 years old, as an almost-30-year-old, how can they find themselves attracted to a child? Even if they're in the softcore industry, it's sick that they would ever be sexually attracted to a child, especially when they know for a FACT that she was a minor. There were many beautiful adult women willing to have relations with them, so why go for a minor.
Pepsi didn't deserve any of what she went through. And she doesn't deserve the disrespect she still receives to this day.
I know you mean well, but r@pe is a crime as disgusting as murd3r. And if mindless, cold-blooded murd3r isn't okay in any timeline, then r@pe shouldn't be acceptable in any era either.
But I understand your point, and I hope my words don't offend you :))

@@Schrei-d4z This kind of mentality is the reason why these men got away with this bullsh--. How the hell are you going to blacklist the child when the problem is the pedop--les in the industry?? Normalized at the time for minors to be nude? This situation has been going on even outside of the Philippines, with Shirley Temples, Brooke Shields, and even more now, with Drake Bell. There are plenty more to count in these types of industries. Yes, a child has no business being in those kinds of films, but who put them there? Who listed them immediately to be in those films? Who led her up to be around a crowd full of adults who have no sense of morality and decided that it's okay to have physical contact with a minor? Cause I can tell you that it wasn't her.

The Filipino entertainment industry has always been qustionable. But because of fame and fortune, instead of getting well-deserved criticism, Filipinos, especially the older generation, would rather sweep it under the rug because of the "bahala na" mentality. For the longest time, the Age of Consent in the Philippines has always been 12 years old, so there are no agencies or organization that "officially" protects women and children against exploitations in modern media.

It's sad how bad men get away with their horrendous crime . Shame on them, they are cowards. It infearates me when a victim is not listen too.
What's wrong with people and humanity.

Im half white half Filipino, and my mother was friends with Mommy Seiko who was the mother of Robbie Tan that ran Seiko Films which was a famous soft-core film production during the 80s and 90s.
I was 13 when my mother introduced me to her. My mom asked her about showbiz and if she could get me into the industry. Mommy Seiko said that she definitely could, but warned us about what goes on behind closed doors. She mentioned that I would have to do a lot of favors for gay powerful men in the industry.
After the warnings she gave us, my mother and I immediately said HELL NO! Mommy Seiko said good. Its better to stay away from the industry if you're not willing to be forced into things you dont want to do for fame.
Its crazy how nonchalant a showbiz royalty was telling a 13 year old boy on what to expect once in the industry.

What's disgusting is the fact that the 3 names are still very famous in the Philippines. They are hosts of famous tv show where they create games and give away money to help the people. Since Philippines is a poor country, this clicked with the masses so much that they used this chance to bury their crimes and glorified their names. Up to now, people are still taking their side all because of that tv show. Our country's law runs on money. You can only achieve justice when you have plenty to spare. Her story has been on the news, published in books and newspapers, songs and movies. Only few believed her, others didn't care and most branded her a liar.

The content is not the kind of story you told but just a conspiracy theory about a song allegedly based on Pepsi Paloma's story. With what happened, no local TH-camrs were capable of publishing this story. It is now from you that I heard the full story.

I’m Filipina in my mid 20s and I grew up watching TVJ on tv. This is the first time I’ve heard about this case. I’m incredibly sad for Pepsi, and I’m mad that the perpetrators were never properly convicted of their crimes. It’s honestly crazy that I had to learn about this from here. I would’ve never known to be honest. It’s incredibly sad that there would most likely nothing that would be done. I only hope Ms. Delia has peace.

Add to this story is a song called "Spolarium" by a popular band in the late 90's named Eraserheads, this song is seemingly dedicated to Pepsi Paloma. Even though they tried to deny it it's apparent what this song tells just by the lyrics. Filipinose who heard or knew this song remembers Pepsi Paloma's life.

no it don't, Vocalist of Eraserheads "Eleandre Buendia" explain it then they keep ignoring it and that's also the reason why he leave eheads on 2002 he doesn't want many issues so he leaves the band..
