does the cord have to stay connected to your phone? I bought my 22 a couple months ago and it was working fine without it but all of a sudden its not letting me connect like the home screen on my phone! Please help!

I have all Apple CarPlay in my brand-new shi and I didn’t even know you could get the actual map view. I knew if you get the regular apple map, I just didn’t know you could get the real looking map.
apple and android car play comes standard on all the 2022 trims but only the touring trim has wireless 😭 the rest you’ll have to connect your phone to the usb
I have a touring trim and the wireless apple car play is horrible, it disconnects and it’s really difficult to reconnect! I’ve spent the last 3 days trying to reconnect it.

That was google maps he was using not the default Apple Maps.

All of the new 2022 models have CarPlay and Android Auto, the Touring/Si with the 9 inch screens get wired and wireless CarPlay/Android Auto.
