  • The all-new 2022 Honda Civic comes with much-improved active lane keeping. It's not semi-autonomous driving like Tesla, but it's getting closer! And for a sub-$30k car, it's very good.

Adaptive cruise control is included and can be set to one of 3 positions I believe. It shows a picture of a vehicle with the number of lines indicating the distance you would like to follow. 1 line gives you the least slowing distance. The highest setting would normally be used for the hwy,

My '23 Hyundai Tuscan Raider Limited has a little display that shows you what the car sees, it's right there in the DIC. Also, I love the Hyundai highway drive assist - you can go for 5-7 minutes sometimes without touching the wheel. It is totally life changing for road trips and traffic jams/heavy traffic. I will never buy another car without a system at least as good as the Hyundai Kia system. It's so good that it will drive the car on regular city streets as long as it can clearly see the lines.

At 2:15 we can see the steering wheel vibrating. Is that because the car is trying to get your attention to put your hands on the steering wheel again? Or is it just because of the road surface?

We just rented a '21 Civic and I was really impressed with the LKAS and ACC, like it's seriously life changing for road trips and commuting. Having the car speed up/slow even in slow traffic is huge and makes it so much less fatiguing. Lane keep works decently but only for a few degrees of steering, but it'll work for most gently curving highways.

I'm about to return a new 2023 RAV4 Hybrid with lane tracing and adaptive cruise control, and let me tell ya, the car is absolutely horrible on both fronts. The car hugs the right line and sometimes crosses over with lane tracing on. I have to actively move it back center, these features are supposed to lessen driving fatigue, and it actually makes me more tired. Then the digital display glitches when the lane departure warning comes on. lol Even without the lane tracing, the car is like out of alignment? Idk. It pulls to the right even after I sent it in to their dealership to align it and testing it out on flat roads around town. The adaptive cruise control brakes haaaaard when cars slow down, I thought I was going to get rear ended at one point. The infotainment system will not connect to my phone to use their app, so all my settings gets reset after I turn the car off. Plus the dealership rushed me out the door to buy the damn thing.
I think I'll be going with the Honda CR-V, but not the hybrid because they don't have a spare tire in those...and all the other cars have horrible backup sounds in their hybrids. Honda and Toyota's hybrid sounds don't wake up the entire neighborhood. lol
One thing's for sure, I won't be driving a Toyota from 2021and beyond. Seems like the supply chain issues made them rush build new cars and quality control went out the window, but it's just one car I got out of like thousands, so take what I say with a grain of salt.
