They just launched a new Coyote Stormking. I think that's my next pair of boots. I love both pairs of my Thursday boots I currently have. I was shocked at the quality and truly think Thursday Boots are by far the best boots you can buy for 200 bucks.
My STORMKING Captains are probably my most comfortable boots. I also have the "daynight" version and a pair of loggers as well.
Which do u like more and why?
@@Matt-ub7hw my black captains with the "daynight" outsole are my fav pair. Or at least the ones I wear most often. Love the loggers a lot too but the rubber on the heel is super thin. Not sure if they still send them out that way. Hopefully they put a thicker rubber on there now.
How is the sizing of the Captains vs iron ranger? Do I need to go half size down as well? Thanks
I've been buying "cheap" $60 shoes for a few years now, and some of them are torn up and unrepairable after a year of regular use.
Definitely gonna spend a bit more this time for something that's gonna last me several years, looks much nicer, and feels much more comfortable.
I used to do the same. These Thursdays hit right in the sweet spot. I have some boots that are nicer, but they are $500. $200 is a good compromise.

Just to temper expectations, depending on the work required, repairing a pair of Thursday boots will likely cost more than buying a whole new pair. That doesn't mean its not worth it. There are certainly arguments to be made regarding repairing boots for sentimental and environmental reasons. But if you're the type of person chewing through pairs within a year you may want to consider spending a bit more money ($300-500) on something a bit more durable. Get something with a proper captoe and veg tan leather insoles.

Try Grant Stone! They are a big step up from Thursday's and AE's and could even give Alden a run for their money.
I saw the Grant Stone Diesel boot, it looks just like the AE Higgins. Thursdays are a great value! Thanks for watching and commenting.
@@tommilano5431 The Diesel's are a comp to the HM's. They have much better quality than Thursday's, Alden's, and AE's. You should take a look at their other style boots.

I’m extremely torn between the Whiskey and the Arizona Adobe boots. Looking for something that can match a wider range of outfits
I think the Whiskey color is more versatile. You can dress it up more, and it will still look good casually with jeans and a flannel. The colors like brown and brandy are even more dressy, but they lack the storming sole.

Laces: yes. My Captains have bad ones. I hope newer models come with better laces.
Stormking sole: looks unfortunately out of balance.
I use thin leather inlays for Thursdays. Otherwise it feels like standing on flat plastic/rubber.
Good open box review, I’m looking for a new casual boot. What’s your opinion on the Thursday Captain storm king vs the Iron Rangers when it comes to comfort.
Thank you! I had the iron ranger boot. For walking long distances, all day standing, the Thursdays are better than the Rangers in every way. The Rangers are more premium though, since that are made in the USA

Can you please tell how does this color age? Will it darken? or lighten? does it patina?
It just started to get cold here in NY, so I have only started to wear them recently. I’d imagine they’ll darken a little, but I plan on reaching out to Thursday to ask about conditioners that retain the color of the leather.

Is this suitable for wider toe people please ?
They did make the toe box wider recently. You can always try them and then return if they don’t fit. They are pretty true to size. I’m mostly an 11.5 D, and that size fits me perfectly.
