You guys asked for budget phone reviews - here's quite possibly the best budget phone I've EVER seen...but....there are some hidden caveats 🤔 We're SO CLOSE to 10 million - if you do like my videos then please consider subscribing so we can smash through that number - I've got a special video planned that I can't wait to drop! 🥳
I have the 13 pro and not the max. I love my pro I don’t see what the difference is between the pro and the pro max can someone please explain. Edit: Mrwhostheboss almost at 10 Mill congrats 🎉
Honestly for someone who buys a poco x4 phone I think they know what they're doing. Poco is not a huge brand like Samsung and even if it is a sub brand of the massive Xiaomi, non tech savvy people will not know they're the same. I think this phone is more geared to those who want value on a budget and when you're on that budget, the problems of bloatware, software and mediocre camera just don't matter. I would say it's a perfect budget phone. Edit: people have been complaining about their POCO phones malfunctioning, I have had a POCO X3 (non pro) for over a year now and there has not been a single problem, software or hardware but if it is as inconsistent as people are saying, buy at your own risk. I know 3 other people with POCO phones but none of them are faulty so I'm not sure what the replies are trying to say.
exactly id rather pay less for a minor inconvenience of uninstalling bloatware and things like that rather than paying extra for a clean home screen right off the bat
the devs for past phones who are going to upgrade to poco x4 will find ways to remove the bloatware and probably provide a good custom rom support. sounds like an amazing phone for me for the price. camera isnt an issue for me.
I agree with this. When someone ask me if Xiaomi is a good phone. I confident to say it's yes most of the time if you don't mind with ads and bloatware.
This is the best phone review I have ever ever seen, like you just explained everything that a normal person needs to know without being mislead and neither disappointed! Great work dude!!
@Parth Shah yep that's true but he complained too much because the OS ads can be turned off with one button in settings and the camera is good but he was a bit too harsh. I didn't quite understand what the problem was with the 5g either, it works fine. But other than that I'd agree
@@vijayapai9238 He did say the camera was decent enough for this price and exactly what you'd expect. The point of the video is that the outer design and the way they market it makes us think they're of flagship quality which they arent and the "108MP" is just for show. But yeah i didnt get the 5g thing either. He didnt even clarify the point, just said it may not "properly work" with 5g. What does that even mean?
It's really amazing how good Xiaomi has become in mid-range phones. I don't mind bloatwares, most of them can be uninstalled easily and the ads of MIUI apps can also be stopped. Even some Google apps that are system apps can be removed using "Universal Android Debloater".
I'm using Poco F3 for a year now and I never regretted buying it. The specs and experience I have for 350€ is absolutely worth taking 5mins to disable the adds and remove preinstalled apps
You can use 2 fingers shrink the screen and muti select all the app and uninstall them in 1 min lol But I will keep them and open those app before uninstall them, because xiaomi worth the ads'money for they really make everyone be able to have a solid phone with affordable price. comments from japan
I love how every time you handle the devices with care. Man, you really don't take things for granted, like other reviewers. You have my utmost respect.
I have the M3 as my work phone. Its battery is still the best I have ever came across. And it does its job just fine, no fancy extras. This is imo what a budget phone should be like. This X4 looks like a good bang for the buck as well. Getting nearly 70% of flagship experience with 25% of the price is just worth every penny.
Your comment says what was needed to be said. I also have an M3 and firmly believe that this newer and clearer Poco UI is better than the Redmi counterpart. The last update to 12.5.1 enhanced edition was neat. Made the phone faster, smoother and optimised properly.
Mrwhosetheboss, your posts are incredibly easy and more efficient to understand. Unfortunately for an South African like me who lives in a rural community, is kinda impossible to be a technology tester. But your videos make it possible to at least have knowledge of such technologies. However it would great to have one of your tested phones Mr Inglesh🙏
eh, the chip is nowhere close to snapdragon 860 in terms of performance, and it releases in 2018? the other parts of the phones are good though, they obviously sacrifice the chip to lower the cost
its Snapdragon 695G and no where near par in performance with mid range phone 750G. They also aren't going to be price at 250$.. Your best choice is get Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G at 250-300$, in Term of Price/Performance it completely destroy this Poco X4 Pro.
@@altrealm2123 however the main camera is just as capable if not more than 2019 flagship cameras, just give it ois and better lenses and there you go,oh and gcam is a free upgrade it makes the phone alot better in processing, however the other cameras need work like telephoto is still not seen anywhere in this range, and ultrawide is just there for marketing
Nicely done. Having good reviewers like yourself easily found on the internet really helps to find the qualities I want in the various phones and the lacking camera is an instant deal breaker. Thank you
Using POCO X3 right now with a custom ROM. Stock Android 12 experience actually makes it pretty fun to use. I'd say POCO phones bring you the best value you can get for its price, and if you are willing to spend a little bit of time on it for setting it up, then you really do get a great experience for its price....

@@vpsjdon they do, you just need to hide magisk. I use Google Pay on a regular basis. If you need any help you can always search for it on TH-cam, it's all out there

@@ayylmao8837 wait didn't they say that it was good because of the performance?? like there aren't much phones with that budget that has this level of performance
Thank you arun. I would have never knew the sneakiness the companies are playing for the cheap phones and using some heavy tech terms until you told it. Informative and eye opening video
I am not watching so much tech videos but dude, no wonder why you have so many views. The editing, the "magic" tricks and the icons with a timers are such an improvement. I really love it!
This phone is pretty good. the problem is that flagships like samsung and iphone have set standards to justify the exorbitant prices of their products, so people tend to think that flagships have something special and that the product has to be expensive for it to be normal. i used iphone 13 ,samsung s21 ultra but i felt ripped off because the price of the phone was way too high compared to the things it offers. Those midranged phones offers more than thode 1200 USD flagships
but sumsung has series that are close to price to these budget phones and are just way better, like the galaxy s50 and 70 series,so why buy these bloated phones when u can get a quality one for similar price
Just flash pixel experience or whatever other rom you want... Gets rid of the bloatware instantly. At that point you pretty much have a pixel in performance and software experience and the only thing you're missing is a quality camera, which is something you have to decide if it's worth it to you. Again, the poco camera is not bad, but it can leave you missing the pixel camera if you've used one before
@@hssnnkim but why, for what, like i said the A50 series for example, better camera better build, water resistant dust resistant,4 years of support, security updates,8 gigs of ram,a cpu that can do just fine about everything, better screen even in some cases, and same price about, sometimes these chinese phones have overkill cpu but this poco doesnt even have that,so not sure what the apeal is
I love hearing your reviews about mid-range and low-cost phones!😃 It's something else when I'm a bit bored of hearing about flagships. Hope you'll make more videos about low-cost, mid-range smartphones like this.🙏🙏😍😇
i still really like my Poco x3 pro that i picked up for like 250. for the price and what you got really does make it seem worth the value compared to a $1000+ phone out there. I mostly just bought it for some mobile gaming so the Snap 860 handles that perfectly and the 5k mah battery offers hours worth of playtime too. That and it's more friendly towards repair since the back comes off instead of the front screen panel access. (something the X4 still does which is nice)
I remember feeling the same about my F3 Haptics. They get you off-guard, how good they are. Lets just hope POCO doesn't 'settle' like the other guys :\
I rarely ever comment but I have to say that you always manage to add a little something different to your videos to keep them interesting. That little timer on the left side of the video is a great touch. Awesome video. Super informative.
I got the Realme GT Neo 2 for $350 (on sale). Really impressed with the 1200 nit, amoled, 120hz display, the snaodragon 870 chipset, the 65 watt fast charging (0-100 in 35 minutes) and the 5000 mah battery. The software is also nice, better than Miui
@@frankreynolds9930 Better than the Oneplus Nord (original) though. I didnt expect much but was surprised. Yes the quality isn't that high, but its perfectly normal for that price. The rest of the phone is flagship grade if you ask me
I'm using the OG Poco F1 for apx. 3 years now and very satisfied with the experience tbh. I think for a budget phone Poco has done a tremendous job. I look forward to it's future very much
I bought the Poco F3 as a throwaway phone as my S20+ just died out of nowhere and before I could recontract. Well, turns out it's much better than I imagined. It has a Snapdragon 870 chipset, UFS 3.1 and it somehow felt snappier than my S20+ which was more than 4x its price. I continued using it till now just because of how happy I was with its performance even though I can recontract right now with a new flagship phone.
What I love about Arun is that his videos always have little Easter eggs in the editing, like at 6:38 where he changed 61 to 69 for a split second. It makes the videos just the a teeny bit more fun to watch.
Guess I'm finding it hard to see how changing the number of phones from 61 to 69 for a quick second is fun or exciting, but maybe my boring life is a bitr more exciting than some other people's boring lives.
What I like about Poco is that they allow you to unlock the bootloader from there you can install a custom ROM it makes the phone so much better, but some might say why buy a phone to change the software? because you can get much better performance by installing stock Android over MIUI! While having a pretty decent phone for the price.
now you mention costom rom im interested already tried Miui on My Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1 and ot works flawlessly, though the vendor version of Miui seems bloated so i might search clean muiu rom if i want to buy that phone
I don't know how well the performance is. But I live some of the extra feature of MIUI which makes stock Android look bare bones. Although you also lose some features when using MIUI like screen pinning
Right, the only reason I was gonna buy these mi phones, they offer good hardware for the price but the software is absolutely horrendous, bloatware and ads, not to mention the whole copied Os from iOS. It's a bit weird tbh. I'd Rather have them put a stock version of Android in there than a whole bunch of bloatware.
For that price no one should be expecting perfect pictures, changing the camera app and using RAW can help to get decent images. If the calls works good, the sound is clear, internet and gaming works good, the phone will be good enough for most that are clear of what to expect. The bands are very important, and most people are not checking that. In a cheap phone a lot of bands are skipped. Is good to know all the frequencies or bands of the carrier, you can easily find which phone supports then using GSMArena phone finder.
SOME OF THESE FONES DONT HAVE MENU OPTION TO MAKE AOD PERMENTANT, SO THERE IS NO WAY TO SEE IF A MESSAGE HAS COME IN AS YOU WALK PAST A LOCKED FONE. THE VERY CHEAPEST FONES BEFOREHAD A FLASHING LED ALERTLIGHT
@@adrianssolutionsgwm what is this for bro, sounds like u had nothing better to do and u start complaining about shit like this, when mid range and budget phones from a couple of years ago were trash
As someone who doesn't play games on their phone and uses a dedicated camera for photos this sounds perfect, I hate that most phones are making me pay for expensive features I won't use.
The problem with that assessment is that Android flagships from 2 years ago are priced close to budget phones, are more complete builds with flagship perks, and are better purchases than these budget phones. If these major Android companies advertise their older flagships they would rinse the budget market, and even Apple are going for it with the recent SE line up.
I love the Poco line, has great specs and features at a low price the big problem is always the cameras, having said that I can't think of any "budget" phone with actually good cameras, I mean in general they're good enough but nothing comparable to the flagship phone ones. Would be interesting to see how one of the sub brands or "independent" brands from Xiaomi would manage a budget phone but with flagship quality cameras as its main feature, they would have to cut corners in all the other specs of course but maybe it would be worthy for the TikTok generation and some wannabe influencers... maybe even for me, just an enthusiast that would like better pics in low light.
There's Infinix and Tecno I think. They have a couple mid rangers(price range) with OIS and Zoom cams. Problem is they don't have licensing for dimensity and snapdragon processors.
@@takischief3215 f3 all the way except for price the x3 pro is a very valid phone but the f3 got the better specs amoled display faster charging but doesnt have heaphone jack? dont quote on that, depends on what you want both phones are very valid
@@v3yron038 people have had bad experience with amoled and oled. It's super fragile you need to take a lot of good care with it and lifespan is garbage compared to ips lcd. Which now is moving forward, becoming as better looking as AMOLED and OLED.
@@takischief3215 depends if you care about headphone jack or micro sd card, otherwise f3 is the obvious winner, I got the f3 7 months ago and its honestly great.
It's interesting you make reviews like this because I could have been very tempted to buy this as an upgrade to my OnePlus Nord (1st generation). Look at the specs and it's a big upgrade. In reality I have none of those OS issues, the camera is probably as good or better especially with Gcam. The better CPU, display, battery would be an upgrade but overall it's more of a sidestep I think. I probably won't be buying it as an upgrade.
dude dont do it. Even the nord (almost 2 years now) had a better cpu+gpu (765G with Adreno 620 is still way better than the SD695 with adreno 619). This POCO is actually worse than the X3 Pro
@@94Coelho Blimey. That explains how they've done it. That 765 Snapdragon is still quite a decent chip. The replacement Nord 2 is twice as fast with dimensity but owner reviews slate the battery life and overheating. So it shows you've got to be careful! For 250 that's still a good phone. But it's still not an upgrade for me which was more like a 400 phone to be fair on Poco.
@@roahnosh blimey. I didn't realise it was the pro version he reviewed. Yep. That's a massive downgrade on the 860. It's pretty obvious how they are making it so cheap using that CPU/GPU combo
Great video Arun. IMO I think this might be top 3 best budget phone of the year if not the best. People who use POCO are mostly well informed technologically, they know what they are getting into especially when on a budget. Spending some time Uninstalling bloatwares won't be an issue. Terrible stock camera? Slap a GCam on it and you're good. The major issue here is the software, it gets bad over time but you can flash a custom rom and that's it. Then life is finally good.
To be fair I'm still positively impressed with this phone based on this review given the price point. There are budget phones out there not much cheaper than this that still have a 720p display. I keep waiting for the extinction of 720p screens on smartphones and it seems like enough people don't care enough to not make this business strategy viable, but putting a 720 screen on a smartphone in 2022 honestly feels like a cardinal sin of phone design and with the Poco the screen seems to be the best thing about the phone, which is really nice, because that's the part of the phone you're going to be interacting with the most.
Budget phones that cost 180$ or more with a 720p screen usually have 5g. 5g is not worth it in most budget phones since it consistently downgrades the other specs. For instance if this poco x4 didn't have 5g it would have come with a much more powerful mid range chipset (in the seven hundreds) and maybe even a better camera.
720p is nice even with mid rage phone because for me battery life matters more than this useless pixels. 90% will not notice difference between 720p and 1080p
@@iraklimgeladze5223 Even my 60 yr old aunt notices the difference between her 720p and my 1080p phone INSTANTLY. I get your point but that is not something thats like not noticeable but more like a known compromise.
@@AdityaGupta-om8ez Yeah the difference is noticeable for everyone, especially when you lay on your bed and you browse on your phone with the screen near your eyes. With a 720p phone you'll be able to see the pixels, but not with a 1080p+ phones.
I'd honestly get last year's or 2 years ago flagships from Xiaomi. This one is around 250 euroes. Xiaomi mi 10T pro for example. Which offers insane camera system, better battery and insane well optimized chipset for around 120-150 euroes more. And can be updated to MIUI 13,etc. Or Poco F3. Really good phone. Flagship cpu. Better camera. Awesome battery life. For 50 euroes more. Even the X3 pro which sells for 200 euroes these days. Can offer you better or same results. Buying new phones these days. Ain't too worth it.
Depends what you're upgrading from. I'm definitely considering this as an upgrade from the Mi 9T, considering that Xiaomi isn't gonna be releasing any notchless phones anytime soon
Whats the point of paying more than $400 for a smartphone these days. The most high end from previous years are great for todays technology. Even 5g chipset.
but new phones have good camera system so i can take a picture of myself with a mask on my face with a good quality even tho ig will compress it and frick quality but i need to pay 700$ more for a phone with good camera and not a dslr camera
If the only cut corners here are the camera and non-true 5G, but not the power or screen, then this phone looks like a mighty nice deal I want to keep an eye on!
Exactly! I never expect great camera experience from budget phones and I don't use 5g so it's a win win knowing the money wasted to improve those features was used to make the display awesome which is something everyone loves
Great review, thanks. The problem I have with ALL the budget phones are not their performances, but the lack of OIS on the camera. The camera is a vital part I use daily and needs to be great. Unfortunately the lack of OIS limits the camera.
@@aaronstone6183 OIS matters when the phone has an optical zoom like 2x, 2.5x, 3x or 5x. You would like to keep it steady. Night shots will also benefit from ois.
Indeed. I still have a Pocophone F1 for 4 years now and it's a 5 year phone. It's still pretty good and battery holds up. Only issue is that my screen got wrecked so many times (due to my lack of attention and stupidity) that it's a miracle still works lol it fell during bath and in the toilet multiple times, and the only issue was the audio getting weird, but all I had to do was let my phone on a glass of rice with the website "fix my speaker" turned up and then boom, no more audio issue What people don't seem to get it when doubting a Xiaomi phone is that they can cut its price this much because of ads, which you can EASILY DEACTIVATE. Their cheap phones have OKish camera, but there's no mid phone which can compete with a Xiaomi at the rest. Great brand.
5:50 Good point. 5G performance on my poco F3 isn’t amazing. Often it says I have signal but in reality I don’t. I’ve disabled 5G completely, the 4G works perfectly well.
😂 X2? I am using x3 pro and facing occasional lag. Just use a custom ROM bro. It's meme ui🤣 after a year with recent update its performance gradually decline.
Love your reviews!! You put so much research, time and effort into them and it shows. Also love your random nods to Rick Astley and the star appearances of Milo 👏👏👏 Thank you Arun / Mrwhosetheboss!
One thing about this phone that's not obvious is that it has a pretty dramatic hardware downgrade from the X3 Pro. The X4 Pro's CPU and GPU are both a couple generations lower than the X3's, so basically they swapped speed and power for display.
They really degraded X3 Pro had 860 along with 120 hz 5000mah battery and 33 watt charging, although it's wasn't optimised that well , hope so the X4 Pro is optimised better, i expected a 870 in X4 pro
@Koos Grebe Thank you so much for the detailed overview! I have only been using NES emulator to relive the 8 bit gaming days. Was thinking of trying out some others as I never had other game systems.
@Koos Grebe I'll figure it out. Getting roms should not be too difficult. But understanding about the emulators that work properly was the challenge. Thanks for the details. You're awesome 👍🏽
Loving your reviews and early Congrats on Hitting 10 million subscribers 🎉🎉. The Poco X4 seems like a really good phone, especially for it's price; Xiaomi doesn't disappoint when it comes to their Poco Phones
I bought the Pocophone F1, first generation of this device few years ago. And still giving me a flawless performance with the top end snapdragon 845 of that time. I just gave the phone custom ROM and now I'm running android 12 on my Poco F1.
things compared to Poco x3 it didn't upgrade was the CPU, it has to snap 695 but x3 has 860, the X4 has more than doubled charging(67w instead of 33w), AMOLED screen instead of LCD and better SFX but i do agree with the shape of the phone, at least it's safe to say that the Poco phones can match if not beat iPhones in some areas.
I was impressed by my first android which was a redmi note 10 pro (same company that made poco.) and with some tweaking here and there, I can confidently say that this thing rocks.
I bought two of this phone together and i made an interesting observation. I like comparing the sound of my phones. I compared both of them to the X3 Pro(btw still better than this replacements) i got and it sounded like the sounds had more color but it was weaker. Then i updated one of the two with all the updates and compared again and now the updated phone had every bit as strong sound as the X3 Pro without losing the color. Just to be sure i compared it with the same 10 Pro without the updates and indeed the non updated one sounded weaker. So interesting to see that updates actually improved the performance of the speakers in this model.
Currently using the Poco X3 pro and I have tried running graphic-intensive games and enjoyed the usage. Also the major drawbacks back when I was researching the phone were the camera and the screen, and I sincerely have not noticed much of these drawbacks, occasionally a itch here or there, generally you would enjoy this so, the Poco X4 has me excited.
guy the x3 is much more powerful than the x4. This is definitely a downgrade. This one vex me cuz I don dey wait for this phone to drop. Be like say i go buy the X3 then smhhh

I disagree, have an X3 Pro as well and for me the X3 line has always been about performance and this cpu just doesnt do it for me, if i were to buy a Poco phone right now it would be the X3 GT which has 5G, Wifi 6 and a killer chipset.
I love that the Camera is the compromise. I almost never take pictures. The most common exception is when i turn a document photo into a pdf file. Don't use 4G much either, prefer WIFI to keep my data plan cheap. and Battery life is very important to me. This is good enough while giving me everything else i really want. 😁

None of the draw backs of a budget phone mentioned are deal breakers especially when you know what you are paying for. The real issue I have with budget phones is their performance 8 months+ after. You are more likely to observe battery degradation, overheating, connectivity issues and a more sluggish/unresponsive phone than any of these issues in this video....and that's why overall they are not worth it for me.
I've been using a mid range Samsung phone for over a year now and the only slight issue I have with it is that the battery has gotten a little weaker than when I bought it new. Not really a big deal, since I can still go almost a whole day of normal use without charging it. Every other issue you mentioned I have not experienced. It still runs smoothly, no over heating, no connectivity issues.
I've watched the Launch of the phone and they advertised that supposedly the memory only slows by 5% in 3 Years compared to "other android phones 50%" While that's only the storage, i like where this is going.
I dont understand why these stupid youtubers whom we believe in doesnt show the fact about poco. Please goto twitter and search for Poco X2 touch or camera issue.. there are many buyers who got their camera and touch dead because of the update. Dont buy poco phones.
@@trank3166 All Poco X series phones suffer from software issues. And their support is meh. Sanusng offers the the best mid-range phones currently (with Google aps).
This phone is the craziest deal I've ever got on a phone $250 for this? I don't think I'll ever need to buy a phone for $500-$1000 again if Poco keeps releasing stuff like this around $300.
Yes. Now It is just like Redmi Note series. For the comparison take Redmi Note 10 it was Magnificent budget with a Really Good Display and Cameras But it lacked the Powerful Chip, while on the other hand Poco X 3 pro was the one providing all the good features with Snapdragon 860 but 48 MP camera and an IPS LCD.
I myself own a Poco F3 and was really suprised that no big tech TH-camrs had never gotten to talk about the brand. What i find amazing is that my older F3 (only 1Year old) is more expensive and yet almost more capeable exept for the camera mine is still a lot better. but Everything about the Phones is otherwise very similar even the Haptic motor. So if you want a phone that has all the good stuff of this phone but a good camera check out the F3
Same, also, I just flashed a Pixel Custom ROM and use a Google Camera Port (with a custom config) for the camera, and it’s as good as they get for the price, for sure!
The haptics are way worse than the cheaper Mi10T. But yeah it is a much better phone than this one. (MrWhoseTheBoss gave it an award last year as one of the best budget phones in midyear 2021 MKBHD is American so he tends to ignore these)
@@warrobots1warrobots135 Pretty sure F4 series doesn't come out yet. Maybe they will officially launch it by the end of this month or early next month.
The main problem of budget phones especially redmi and poco is their software. It usually consist of lot of bugs and the companies very rarely give software updates and the updates won't fix the bugs😂. As you have mentioned they also contain a hell lot of bloatwares.
1: you can delete all the bloat and Ios has bloat too 2: bugs are almost non existent. You are only gonna encounter them if you have miui 8 or under. 3: they give at least 4-6 years of miui and more than 3 android updates.
@@unknown185 they do still have bugs. Look at the dead camera issue. And there is no way that they give "4 to 6" years of MiUI updates. More like 2 to 4.

Been using my Poco X3 Pro since October last year. Bloatware? Easy to remove with ADB. Not a picture person, don't care about the camera. I mostly usedit to play PUBG Mobile... That's just all I bought it for. When I'm playing and screenrecording I gotta have a fan blowing cause it can get quite hot and cause the game to lag. Awesome phone.
Agreed on the adb thing -- that helped me get rid of all the useless bloat on my poco m3 pro 5G I've been using since september, it's been very solid so far - battery lasts me more than a full day, decent performance and fantastic value for money
I think you've hit something that a lot of these 'look at this new phone!!!!" channels miss. The camera. Most of us I think..... well we really don't CARE all that much. For most of us, it's got a camera. It's there. It takes pictures. We neither know nor care how to adjust color settings or whatever photo and film geeks get all gooey over. I mean I suppose it's not TOTALLY unimportant, but.... it's nowhere near as important to us as reviewers seem to think it is. (I suspect because most of them are frustrated photographers/film makers that actually do care a lot more than the rest of us do if a camera doesn't support a color spectrum most of us have never heard of.)

exactly id rather pay less for a minor inconvenience of uninstalling bloatware and things like that rather than paying extra for a clean home screen right off the bat
the devs for past phones who are going to upgrade to poco x4 will find ways to remove the bloatware and probably provide a good custom rom support. sounds like an amazing phone for me for the price. camera isnt an issue for me.

What I like about Poco is that they allow you to unlock the bootloader from there you can install a custom ROM it makes the phone so much better, but some might say why buy a phone to change the software? because you can get much better performance by installing stock Android over MIUI! While having a pretty decent phone for the price.
How is this done exactly?
@@Stoffendous don't do it if you don't have knowledge you will brick your device. There are several tutorials on youtube to how to do it.

You can use gcam to massively improve photo quality. Seriously, it's actual software magic, and the night mode is on par with pixels
For a poor ass mobile gamers, poco is a godsend
The Redmi line up of Xiaomi has better cameras in budget phones. Redmi Note 10 Pro Max is the best in that category.
I would probably upgrade to an enthusiast camera phone over my iPhone.
There's Infinix and Tecno I think. They have a couple mid rangers(price range) with OIS and Zoom cams. Problem is they don't have licensing for dimensity and snapdragon processors.

First world problem there are a lot fo people cant change phones immediately.

Depends what you're upgrading from. I'm definitely considering this as an upgrade from the Mi 9T, considering that Xiaomi isn't gonna be releasing any notchless phones anytime soon

I really enjoyed watching this video. Fun and eye opening! Thanks!
@Koos Grebe Which emulators do you use? It's there any for running switch games on Android?
@Koos Grebe Thank you so much for the detailed overview! I have only been using NES emulator to relive the 8 bit gaming days. Was thinking of trying out some others as I never had other game systems.
@Koos Grebe I'll figure it out. Getting roms should not be too difficult. But understanding about the emulators that work properly was the challenge. Thanks for the details. You're awesome 👍🏽
@@slayerx2767 870 is too much. They should choose 855+ at least because it is 5G ready and very close to 860.

I bought the Pocophone F1, first generation of this device few years ago. And still giving me a flawless performance with the top end snapdragon 845 of that time. I just gave the phone custom ROM and now I'm running android 12 on my Poco F1.
ME TOO , IT WORKS LIKE THE FIRST DAY , THE KING OF SMARTPHONES
Me to poco F1 very good.
things compared to Poco x3 it didn't upgrade was the CPU, it has to snap 695 but x3 has 860, the X4 has more than doubled charging(67w instead of 33w), AMOLED screen instead of LCD and better SFX but i do agree with the shape of the phone, at least it's safe to say that the Poco phones can match if not beat iPhones in some areas.
Snap 695 '5g' so its kinda better
@@bhaktiistatus108 not really 860 dominates 695 and raw performance wise it can't even come near it.

As a proud Poco X3 Pro user, I'd say the X4 is a fair successor. However, it could have used a better cpu.
Agreed
I disagree, have an X3 Pro as well and for me the X3 line has always been about performance and this cpu just doesnt do it for me, if i were to buy a Poco phone right now it would be the X3 GT which has 5G, Wifi 6 and a killer chipset.
True I love my X3 Pro
I love that the Camera is the compromise. I almost never take pictures. The most common exception is when i turn a document photo into a pdf file. Don't use 4G much either, prefer WIFI to keep my data plan cheap. and Battery life is very important to me. This is good enough while giving me everything else i really want. 😁
Good for you since the phone targets customer exactly like you..for me the camera is my top priority so i need to get a flagship every 2 to 3 years

@@brozack4940 At that point it might be cheaper to get a high end camera. Sure they are not as portable but if you need quality then you are always hindered by the compromises a smartphone has to make.

Feels like a downgrade from the Snapdragon 860 that was on Poco X3 Pro.
@@6TNain The camera on the X3 is better
it is a downgrade unfortunately...
just so they can slap the 5G on the name and on the phone.
Because of 5g and amoled display
I myself own a Poco F3 and was really suprised that no big tech TH-camrs had never gotten to talk about the brand. What i find amazing is that my older F3 (only 1Year old) is more expensive and yet almost more capeable exept for the camera mine is still a lot better.
but Everything about the Phones is otherwise very similar even the Haptic motor.
So if you want a phone that has all the good stuff of this phone but a good camera check out the F3
What about POCO F4/F4 Gt ?
Same, also, I just flashed a Pixel Custom ROM and use a Google Camera Port (with a custom config) for the camera, and it’s as good as they get for the price, for sure!
The haptics are way worse than the cheaper Mi10T.
But yeah it is a much better phone than this one.

The main problem of budget phones especially redmi and poco is their software. It usually consist of lot of bugs and the companies very rarely give software updates and the updates won't fix the bugs😂. As you have mentioned they also contain a hell lot of bloatwares.
1: you can delete all the bloat and Ios has bloat too
2: bugs are almost non existent.
