OK, this is an old show. I've ridden or owned them all. The BMW is the best handling of them all. If you are owning in this bracket, handling is everything. If you want performance, get a Hayabusa.
I would have to go with the Beamer. I like the Hondas and the FJR is tempting, but for the size the Beamer is a all arounder. Although you couldn't tear me away from my '03 GW.
That was the worst haggling I've ever seen. Get your bike cleaned up, trawl a few dealers, get your budget set in stone and be prepared to walk away, if your really keen let the dealer stew for a few weeks, if it doesn't sell call him back and mention the deal still stands if they want a sale and don't give in. I did and got £275 off and he'd already reduced it. I got offered £800 difference between dealers in part ex too.
St1300 servicing charges could be expensive, if it ever needed servicing. All I've done in 10 years is change oils, filter and wearables such as tyres, brake pads and battery.
Weird that they talk about the r1150rt as a 'slight increase' as if it was more powerful than an st1100. As if displacement is the only indicator of performance
Yep, and at some point he admitted being a 'Honda man'. Kinda like the Mac vs PC thang, tribalism, and for many, just a natural bias towards what they already 'know'.
Interesting, though would kinda prefer more useful comparative info, and less focus on the 'presenters', which seems to be sort of a Brit tradition. And regardless the bike's performance, funny how some riders are always still a "Honda man" (or whatever)... kinda like the old OS 'loyalty' wars between Windows and Mac!
its just entertainment but yep a load of bollocks just listen to her telling us the BHP figures and look at the cut screen none of them match not a fooking one lol. and just going on a ten min blast on a BMW is no good you need at least an hour to adjust to there way of doing things they don't need horse power the torque is like an avalanche. then and only then they make sense and are one of the best bikes on the road... only my opinion though...
I'm watching this from the US....we NEED a TV show like this over here. All we get is hyper-macho crap (that is inevitably a Harley) & nothing that deals with rider's real life needs & experiences, as shown in this show.
If that was a posser competition I'm not sure who would be the biggest 🤔.. If it was me I'd have said "wheres the bloke"... "get the bloke love, and 2 sugar" 🤣🤣🤣😂
+1. Germans are very good at making people believe that they make reliable stuff when they actually make mediocre reliable bikes at very high prices.....then you get to discover how expensive they are to service, let alone repair!
The riders you get to test ride these bikes are always so, how can I put it, 'wooden' with absolutely no personality! Still great to watch though, cheers.
This was filmed in 2004, also, who are you to say these people have no personality? Because if it were you, you would have been the most fucking awesome person they ever had? Fuck off.
Love the way the CBT instructor moves off without checking over his shoulders.
The best part of this video is Francesca. No ring on her hand. I like the BMW best.
No ring was a good thing, but the 1150 is not so sexie.
the stats are all over the place on HP & CC on the Beemer.

The ST is a great bike. He's up there with his rating. Sorry I'm just a BMW kind of guy. The RT is the one!
@Sunny Jake BMW are shite
Slagging the FJR off as being too heavy, when its 25kg lighter, and 25bhp more powerful than the ST1300? They've got no idea.
Have we ever seen Fran ride a motorcycle or does she just strut around in leathers every episode?
Yeah, she did try a Harley Sportster, BMW 650 and R6 once.
Dressed in a nice tight Dainese leathers.
That was the worst haggling I've ever seen.

Fran is Frantastic!

The point system used is so completely illogical and meaningless to anyone else. He said the BMW was comfortable yet he only gave it 5 points!?
You could score this entire program on pointlessness.
Yep, and at some point he admitted being a 'Honda man'. Kinda like the Mac vs PC thang, tribalism, and for many, just a natural bias towards what they already 'know'.
Had all three.. Yam = too hot, Pan = wibble wobble BMW bit boring, so i got a 1150 Gs ADV great bike! Rip Bike Doc btw...
Heat issue on the FJR was addressed quite a few years ago. Mostly it was the Gen 1's I think
really the 1150 rt displaces 1300cc? Wrong! it displaces 1130cc and ... 95 BHP.. not 87.
RIP Dr. Rod
Always good ; and Frans hot ; and a top presentor 👌🙏🙏
BMW 1150 got ABS problems.. big money to fix it
This men is a Honda men
5 points confort For bmw and 9 for Honda !!!
Impossible
Yep, no doubt he would describe as ZZR1400 as being sluggish compared to his Hondaaaaar.....
Motorcycle “with storage “ yes, you mean “a car “
All that and he didn't buy a bike?!!
At 3:36 she states 144BHP but text says 123?.?
Describes the BMW 1150cc bike on the specs as being 1300cc?
I like how the bmw falls apart on the open road.
Perhaps yours did.
This lookes good
3:30 How many bhp?
honda looks like a jet ski
Why sell a honda st1100 if i heard right
Should qualify. I have not ridden her.
Can tell hes a Honda man, dressed like the police. lol

😁😁 Sounds like Arse-traylia
@@MeaHeaR Lol wut? The only people that ride Harleys in Australia are gang members and 50 year old dentists.
One comment a year ago. For F sake. Now it has three. I spelt three instead of doing 3 as typing three makes the whole sentence longer. Ha Ha Ha LOL

these presenting programs are now redundant since anyone can talk shite about anything...and the amateurs are more informed than these so called pros.
‘You’re such a Honda bloke, it’s pathetic’ 😂 yeah alright fran, either let us see you ride or take the leathers off...slowly.
Immer noch eine sehr schöne Frau! 🇨🇭👍
Still a very beautiful Woman! 😚🤫
Bmw are only a ball of shite imo.. When I used to do recovery, bmw's were 95% of the pickups.

@@dumptrump3788 I totally agree
@@dumptrump3788 Trump is a German name.
She's a good looking woman
8:31 what is she talking about?

They're ordinary bikers - not TV presenters!
The ST1300 10/10 for styling?
With that massive weggie of a stoplight?
Fuck no
bm is slower than the pan he had already
why has the women got leathers on and not riding a bike BIZARRE.
Women? I only see one woman, and she is the presenter.......lol
adamhar Bob cvv XX. Dxxzc. VX
Cause it's thematic, and because there isn't need to be a reason to be in leather
Police riders love BMWs for good reasons.
Because they do not maintain and repair them on their own expenses :)
Unless they ride Yamahas.
Buy a BB for 2000 and have the time of your life all the rest is BS
if you want comfort buy a car
Thats a nice lady
I'd rather ride the blond than the bikes. oooooohhhhhhh, did I say that?
The buyer is SO boring. Sounds like he’s on life support.
total garbage start to end
Don't be so hard on yourself.
