JIS screw heads are normally marked with a small dot on the head of the screw. Can’t believe that it took me years to find out about JIS screw drivers. They give a much more positive mechanical lock when engaging the screw head.
I used to work with a guy, doing heavy equipment construction, that was short as hell, like 5' 5" (whatever that is in metric, it's SHORT) and he had a Kawasaki 1400R. He looked so funny on that big ass bike. He rode it just fine though.
I can't find the next episode which should be 6/18/02. Has it been uploaded? For those looking for an episode with really fast bikes, check out the episode on 4/19/04. It has a CBR1100xx, a ZX-9R and an R1.
I admit to having owned a Katana600. I loved it, did long rides and commuted on it. Brought me up to 110 so was fast enough. Handling always felt unsettling to me, it did not react consistently under cornering and I guess I will blame a soft suspension.
Nice tips with the sockets over the jaws thing, I just used cardboard =P Good tip with the "shouldn't let your heart rule your head" too. Love the old R1, didn't even know the MillieR was av twin hahhahaa.
Hi barrybeez l never have found a review for the facelift model. There is a men and motors gsx600f review that is very good and is more balanced as the gsx-f is about an all rounder bike that just gets on with the job with out fuss. I have tried the latest crop of street bikes where the power is down low the gsx750f is no slouch even by todays standards just get the revs up. Obviously not comparing against super sports as the are so specific and honestly speaking more than I would want for traveling or commuting.
Thanks for reply Darren - yes, pre face lift, but essentially the same bike. I find it to be a good all-rounder too. Plenty of power when you need it and very planted on the road. Bit heavy, but hey, it's an old style steel beast of a bike. Engine's smashing though. I'm looking to put some bars on mine (Renthal Road Low probably) - the clip ons are a bit painful on my skate wrecked wrist (the titanium complains) I've found that overseas riders love them, and there are some good videos posted. Thanks again for your time. Ride Safe Barry
@@101jonnel It looks like a Buell s1 without the little fairing and headlight modification. Harley Davidson company owned with engine in a different package. They looked better than they actually were according to reviews. Which is probably right seeing as they aren't about anymore afaik. Odd positioned suspension a and quirky design without the performance and handling you would expect from a bike of this nature. Nowadays a better choice similar bike would MV Agusta Brutale imho. They look great and perform according to reviews.
This geezer obviously just likes the idea of owning a liter bike without wanting to deal with the power of a liter bike. I mean, he found the mille power too much and that was the weakest bike of the bunch. What he actually needs is a ST bike.
@@sjames5694 Or an old geezer with flies buzz around his arse could lip off to a young buck and end up being consumed by those flies as he lies dead in a little hole!

I love it because this is the era of bikes that I buy now haha
modern bikes are crap.
The socket trick on hoses is BRILLIANT!!
I feel like god just gifted me this show....
thank you god
no
thank you Men and Motors
HARRY CALLAHAN they should remake this show..
Lol
I love the way the datatool alarm is bleeping away in the background haha! It's the cricket on holiday equivalent!
Great tip on the sockets, advice on using JIS screwdrivers would have been more useful for bikers though.

Hahahah I know the hamster is small but seeing him on a Goldwing really makes him look miniature!

That was the exact model that introduced me to sport bikes back in '93....I had never seen or heard anything like it. Good memories

Wow, those bikes are heavy in the UK… 5200 pounds, whoa!
(sorry, great video!)😊
first gen r1 still beautiful as hell
Where is Ep 2 ?
thanks for these videos!! the videos on the youtube channel "Used Bike Heaven" are tied to the "Men's and Motors" channel. That's kind of strange.
Were they not on the MM TV channel?
Wish I could find a review on the GSX750F 2006 (last gsx750f made) still the quick report RH gives is ok in this video.
Hello modarm - did you ever find a decent review of the GSX750F? Mine's a 2003, so not a lot of difference - cheers

What’s the presenter name she is gorgeous
Francesca Robinson
GARY
I hope Francesca avoids being quite as trite and patronising in the next episode...
what is that squeaking nose????it's i every video and very annoying

Mille power is pretty overrated. I bet the other two bikes would walk it in a straight line. Tall bike though. Uncomfortable and ungainly for some.
Bear in mind, unless you happen to lip-off to the WRONG geezer, you too WILL BECOME a 'geezer' someday. It is inevitable...either way, my friend.
