Took my car over to Guildford Volvo last Thursday as I had a nearside squeaking from the wheel. I spoke to Polestar support the previous day because I’ve have a stain on my centre armrest that I cannot get off and they advised me to talk to the dealership about it. When I brought it up the service assistant told me he would my wave his magic wand to get it sorted out, very sarcastic. Had a call that day telling me that he been driving a car and I couldn’t hear any squeaking but it would be beneficial for the service manager to take my car home for the evening to give it a thorough test drive, I asked them if this was really necessary and he said it would be better if he did so I agreed. Heard nothing more and finally called on Friday late afternoon to be told that found the squeak but they didn’t have time to fix it. Obviously Polestar has supplied me a car as they wouldn’t and I had to arrange this myself with Polestar customer service. Obviously over the bank holiday weekend it wasn’t worked on until Tuesday, again I rang and they said that they think they’ve fixed the problem but again it would be beneficial if the service manager took my car home for the evening to test it. At this point I just wanted my car back so reluctantly I okayed this. I asked them to make sure that the car was charged when I picked it up for the amount that they had been driving around and again sarcastically they said we’ll see what we can do. Picked the car up teatime today ( Wednesday) and again I asked the service assistant if they had done any software updates to which the reply was, they wouldn’t do a software update for a squeaking wheel (sarcasm). This dealership is about as welcoming as a fart in a lift and I will do my very best not to use them again.

PS customer service were very helpful to me arranging a loan car. I’ve had cars from several manufacturers but I couldn’t honestly say who I would speak to other than dealers. I like this about PS

Being in the market for a new EV I've watched a few of your Polestar 2 videos. Without exception, they have been informative, interesting and to-the-point. Well done! I hope you might consider reviewing the Polestar's close cousins, the Volvo C40 and (especially) XC40 Recharge. I think many of your viewers would appreciate your take on how those vehicles compare with the Polestar 2.

Thanks for the video and the others through the year. They helped me in my decision to buy the Polestar2. I've had it for about two weeks now and just love it. I have a Snow with the Slate weave tech, 19 inch wheels, long range dual motor with Plus and Pilot packs

Very nice. I’m in the apparently common stage involving my estimated delivery date dancing around. Went from mid-June to late August yesterday. Hanging in there because of folks like you describing how wonderful it is.

Had mine a couple of months, luckily it’s a company car, so all that is done. Found that the v2 update has fixed the digital key issue a lot seemed to have, and I had too

It seems service is hit-or-miss depending on your experience with the local Volvo dealership. I had my latest PS2 tire change done and the dealership picked up my car and brought it back washed and with a full charge. It was a great experience for me but unfortunately Polestar is putting a massive chunk of their customer experience in the hands of Volvo and this makes it extremely inconsistent. I look forward to more uploads!

That sounds like a much better experience. To be fair, they did clean the car which was nice.

The window issue is a reallly simple fix. Just lubricate the corner window frames, the plastic/rubber,with silicone spray. Had same issue, fixed it myself. But be carefull with the spray so that you dont the windows or interiour stained with silecone

I would email customer support about you’re experience, and if you have a chain of emails regarding your request to have x resolve at service will help as it then puts ownership on the problem with the dealer than say word of mouth. Don’t leave it what ever you do. Ask for a follow up for a confirmation date when the issues you referred to will be addressed since they were not at the service with parts such as the seat which has to be ordered (right now taking possibly weeks to arrive) the windows may need a new regulator or cog has warn prematurely than just na adjust. Which happened with golf mk 4 as well. And pas put down to a batch issue. also check the form for actual service details to confirm that they did do them as being an ev some try to just rotate the tires and do a visual inspection on the rest l I’m not sure but I know at some point they will have to have the transmission oil and coolant changed that should take at least 4-5 hours labour by the book but in reality no more than 3

My order has been delayed AGAIN, this time by another 4 months. Can you do a video about their order backlog if you have any information

I'm struggling with seat comfort with my p2. Creaking and constantly tweaking back and forward. Previous S60 was much more comfy

I'm considering buying a Polestar 2 instead of Tesla model 3, can you set a dual moter P2 to work with just one motor in eco mode?

In the US, I would go berserk if they didn’t fix the window and the seat. What about the bumper to bumper 4 year warranty? Squeaky windows and seats are due to defective materials or workmanship-must be covered.

The Polestar 2 has been having lots of issues. Tcam causes multiple issues, bricking, being locked out needing tow to service, propulsion errors. The Polestar forum Reddit, FB forums is recently filling up with problems. How about an update? You pumped this car pretty hard before now youre silent. Are you having multiple issues as well after software 2.X?

I was about to ask the same question.
@Short Circuit: Did you experience TCAM issues ?

So, had the 2.1 update, and now my car needs to go to a garage. Issues with headlamps, collision avoidance system and driver assistance support system. Really disappointed

had to laugh when you complained that your nearest volvo service centre is a 20 minute drive away. Mine’s nearly 2 hours drive. Sounds like you just got a bad service centre.

I’m in smack dab in the middle of Canada and I would kill for service at a Volvo dealer, right now my nearest service centre is in Vancouver over 2000km away! If I could go to a Volvo dealer it would be in Winnipeg only 300km away.

Agree. Polestar pass you to Volvo and then Volvo are not interested

They didn't do anything... It's electric shouldn't be much if anything serviceable at the milage showing on your car. Looking at tyres isn't a service..only serviceable item is perhaps the brake pads and pollen filter... You should check your own tyres every month or so anyway.
The only reason to go to Volve is if it develops a fault.. which yours had... and they couldn't be bothered to do that could they... as it involved doing some work (heaven forbid) which they would then have to invoice Polestar for the payment (forget the bullshit they are totally different companies in all but legal agreements). I certainly would not go back there again... and it might be useful to name the Volvo Dealer concerned... so the rest of us can avoid using them.

Not acceptable… I made a deposit on my ps2 and having a second thoughts after watching your video.
This is something I would expect from Hyundai or gm.
I’ve never owned Volvo before, their customer service generally this poor?
