I appreciate you putting out these reviews for specifically the infotainment. a lot of reviews seem to gloss over something you'll interact with every time you get into the car when bad software can definitely break what would be a decent vehicle.

The instrument cluster map ability is a huge plus. The next step is augmented reality directions in the heads-up display like how MBUX displays turn directions for the driver to see as they approach those points in the navigation.
I believe the Audi Q6 E-tron is also getting a similar HUD feature for AR directions per the recent press release. This is definitely a level above the instrument cluster map display ability and both are very appreciated for safety reasons.
I'm glad to see Volvo is starting to make that move towards efficiently using the instrument cluster for something other than superficial graphics next to the normal numbers shown there.

Most excellent. Had 2021 launch for few months, loved it but no Apple Maps was tough. Got called away, but came across a loaded same car but with performance , plus pilot, and barely leather AC seats, arriving later this week. Excellent walk thru of the amazing updates from 18 months ago, esp car play. TYSM.

It looks easy to use while driving. I hate small buttons while driving. This screen seems easy to understand. Orange is on and black is off. I like the simplicity. Having youtube, google maps, sirius, chrome loaded in the car without having to have my phone on me is awesome. I can look up things on chrome or watch youtube videos and get into the car and continue watching where i left off without having to have my phone with me.

Apple Maps in driver binnacle was made available in previous software update- my XC40 Recharge has this feature.

Couldn't they make that screen's bezels even thicker???

I would have liked to have seen the charging schedule options. My Leaf had a schedule that made sense to me so that I could set it for the evening lower utility rates where I live. My Ioniq 5 and my wife's Model Y scheduling is very confusing. I was wondering if Android Automotive has it figured out.

It looks dated to me and those big oversized buttons give it a real Jitterbug vibe.

Apple Maps looks amazing on the cluster! My VW projects an intersection diagram, distance and name of the road on the digital cluster when using Apple Maps but can only show the ugly VW full map in the cluster if you want that view instead. That said the digital cluster is way more customizable than map/no map, I'm surprised Polestar doesn't give more options.
Waze would need to be updated to support maps in the cluster but unsure whether they plan to do so.

Would a taller driver around 6’5 fit comfortably in the cabin?

Alex, did you check the minimum amps for charging? I use a 15 amp outlet to charge my Volt and I am curious if the same outlet can be used to charge the Polestar.

I have a 22 PS2, you can set it as low as 6 but the minimum it will actually charge at is 8. I found this out while experimenting to see if my Ecoflow Delta 2 would charge it. It will, but very slowly and not for very long lol.

Chevy volt possibly the best plug in hybrid ever for the price.

@@Joeri0720 I think so. I wish I would have pulled the trigger before the crazy car market hit. I saw a gen 2 premier trim with $50k miles for $15k at one point. I ended up buying a gen 1 with 120k miles for $9k 3 years later.

I'm not crazy about the layout. Would love to see estimated arrival time in the dash map. Also when playing music and maps is on the infotainment screen you don't get to see what song is playing or skipping and going back on your songs. That should just be a basic lower ribbon. Also strangely enough my Harmon Kardon stereo's balance is off. The center speaker is louder than all the other speakers!!!! Revised:: after messing around figured it out. Turn off surround sound and the stereo will sound more like a traditional car stereo. Better!! Also from the factory the bass is way up, turn it down before you blow up your speakers.
The sound/equalizer should be on the main screen.
Not shown in the review you do have passenger side and driver side climate control. Press the temperature at the top you'll see --=-- icon press it and there you go.
As for the assistant just say hey google.
As for Waze, I've had that in my care for about a year.

P2 owner here. In Apple Maps in CarPlay an ETA will display in the instrument cluster in the current version of the Polestar 2 software.

Can't run Android Auto in the P2. Automotive has major flaws like no WhatsApp and inability to see the music playing while in navigation mode. Come on, that sucks!

That's a really big ugly bezel around the screen. It looks so cheap, and makes it look older than the first generation of iphone
