Thanks for the video from a fellow P2 owner. It was because of your 15K review that I felt comfortable enough to plunk down the money for the P2. You were honest and detailed on all the pros and cons. I really appreciate that. Just to confirm your findings, I live in California and I am getting similar range numbers (I was able to get 29.1 KWH from San Francisco to LA on the pacific coast highway - averaging about 55 MPH once, which was fantastic. That was under perfect conditions). I agree that the car is wonderful and comfortable to drive. Long trips seem effortless. Thanks and keep the videos coming. Cheers!
Out of curiosity, where did you charge along California PCH/Highway 1? I have Electrify America charging included with my P2 lease for 3 years and drove from SF to LA on I-5 in late August without any issues but returned on Highway 101 where 2 EA chargers had to be re-set, delaying my trip by two hours.
Very pleased to see you back with another video. You are one of the few Polestar 2 owners whose videos are about the experience of owning a Polestar, as opposed to driving one for an hour or two and then making pronouncements about it. Thanks. I look forward to your next video soon!
Hi Bradley, great to see more content from you. I get my Polestar delivered next week and your videos have been very helpful with your honest opinions and experiences. Please keep putting new videos up where time permits.
I was really happy when I saw that you have a new video! You are such a personable person with one of my "dream cars". I was back in England after a three-year break. The first time with the electric car. Have driven near Northampton every year since 2003. This time it was the most relaxing trip I've ever had. Departed on Thursday and after 2194km (1363miles) arrived home very relaxed on Tuesday. I would be very happy to see more Polestar 2 videos. There is now a "bread and butter" Polestar (meaning a cheaper one)!;-) Maybe it will work out in 2023 with my “dream car”. I wish you all the best, have a nice Sunday. Greetings from Switzerland.
Enjoying your videos. I'm very local to you in mid Sussex and hardly seen any Polestar 2s on the road. I hopefully will get mine in March 2023 so you may see another one in and around the area.
Thank you and great to see a comeback for the summer. It’s rare to see videos on the polestar’s efficiency in warmer conditions and probably it’s known at the back of the mind that batteries tend to fare better. Thanks for sharing the features from the software upgrade too. What temperature were you running the hvac on? How does the hvac of the polestar 2 fare in hot summer?
Thanks so much! I tend to keep mine on 19 or 20 and seldom use Eco. My car also doesn't have a heat pump so is likely to be less efficient on the HVAC side of things.
I've been watching your videos for a couple of years, and was considering switching to EV from my Maserati Ghibli Diesel. At the beginning of August I took delivery of the new Genesis Electrified G80 which has an 87 kWh battery. This is one of the few medium size executive saloon EV's, the other being the Mercedes EQE. Whilst I don't do much annual mileage, in the first month I have covered about 800 miles (a lot for me!), and the total average is 3.69 miles per kWh, whilst last week on an 80 mile round trip it was 4.2. This gives me a theoretical range of close to 300 miles, and like the smaller GV60 uses an 800v architecture, which if I find a high speed charger, means a charge in about 20 minutes! Genesis major on luxury and tech with all the semi autonomous features, which makes a journey stress free, and the refinement and cabin finish is absolutely superb. When your lease is up, I would strongly recommend you take a look at the GV60!
Hi Keith, thank so much for sharing this I've heard some good things about Genesis and it's really nice to hear some real world experience. The consumption sounds really good, especially for a car of that size!
Totally agree re the charging networks here in the UK. They are just not growing fast enough given the length of time each vehicle takes to charge. I’ve been dying to buy a Polestar 2 but haven’t taken the plunge because of charging anxiety (my property is unsuitable for a home charger) as I’ll be doing any anywhere up to 70miles per day commuting to and from work.
I’m still awaiting delivery, it’s built now and sitting at the dock in Shanghai. Are your seats called Slate as that’s what I’ve ordered but can’t remember what it looks like.
The display KM unit bug was due to the 2.2 OTA which I assume your car has been updated to. I had the same issue too, but after 3 to 4 weeks of installing the 2.2 OTA polestar pushed a silent update to fix the issue. Maybe your car didn't get the silent update.
Thanks, very interesting. Mine has actually been fine for a few days now so it's good to know that Polestar are able to sort this kind of thing out with a silent update
I was in the UK recently and looked at a 50 KW DC charger that charged 69p p/kw. That's £54 to charge a Polestar 2. Not having driven a petrol car before, how does that compare?
I loved the Model 3 when I had the chance to try it out however I do prefer the handling and better build quality of the Polestar. When my lease is up next year I definitly will consider a Tesla though!
I can see that you have an error message that you have a problem with the air pressure on your tires. I have spoken to a volvo technician who said that this error message is corrected in s/w p2.3
Sadly, I brought a Tesla for the charging network. In hope Tesla open up their network; it’ll also help fund expansion. Visiting my family near Eastbourne is a dead zone for high speed charging.

New fellow P2 owner here. Been seeing your short, practical videos for months now. Great videos, keep them coming.

I’ve had one for 3 months and still love it

Nice to see from you again. Good video.
Another great video Bradley. But you're always in the fast lane!!!
Are your tyre pressures too low? That won’t help.

Where have you gone?
So with all in consideration ( charge, range, etc.), do you enjoy this over Tesla?
I loved the Model 3 when I had the chance to try it out however I do prefer the handling and better build quality of the Polestar. When my lease is up next year I definitly will consider a Tesla though!
Nice video! Make more P2 content please
One major problem is why aren't these charging places being built with any sort of cover?!?! Trying to charge in the rain sucks!!!!
I can see that you have an error message that you have a problem with the air pressure on your tires. I have spoken to a volvo technician who said that this error message is corrected in s/w p2.3
Excellent, that's good to hear as it was getting quite annoying!
100% charges works for me
Those are literally the worse stats to show, /100 miles and and total distance in KM? what the hell? What about wh/mile or miles/kwh
Sadly, I brought a Tesla for the charging network. In hope Tesla open up their network; it’ll also help fund expansion. Visiting my family near Eastbourne is a dead zone for high speed charging.
Has anyone ever fallen through the roof..

Get rid of miles, Brits. 😉
No
Never. I like a mile. 🤣
