    I went to very dark places on the internet while trying to find fun pictures for this video...very dark places. Like places with lots of images of Ramsay and Domeric as a married couple and living out fun, sadistic adventures. I decided to turn back and just use normal pictures. I cannot cleanse myself of those images. I will be forever damaged due to this video.

    I think Ramsey was a last resort for an heir. While a cruel man Roose is still intelligent, and I don't believe he would choose a half insane bastard over an accomplished intelligent warrior who also has other noble blood and family besides just the his own.

  • @stevengrant4117

    Another reason why Roose could have kept up telling people that Ramsey did it, going with the theory that he killed his son, is to keep up the Reputation of House Bolton of being a house to be feared. I don't believe the theory but if it was true Ramsey is defiantly someone to be feared. And just the idea that he would kill his own brother to get what he wants it would make people think twice to cross him. Roose could be setting up Ramsey to be feared by the North so they wouldn't really want to rebel after Roose is gone and Ramsey takes over.

      Roose is a gargoyle, but he's not a maniac. He takes proper lordship and governance very seriously. He's also looking at the real extinction of his house from hereditary illness, and has too few options. Domeric would have made true alliances, bolstered the standing and connections of his house, and made many baby Boltons. Ramsey will do none of that, he'll be assassinated by everyone at once, and Roose knows it.
      If anything, Roose is eager to get rid of Ramsey quickly and cleanly, and seek protection from the Freys while dealing with his other enemies.

    A quiet guy who likes hanging out with other young lads? Seems right up the ally to become fiercly loyal to the Young Wolf Robb Stark. Sort of a second small Jon but a bit more creepy and a little older. Not marrying a Frey was a mistake but without the red wedding Robb still stood a decent chance of atleast holding the north, someone with a bit more loyalty and less scheming would stay by his side.

I think it would have been super interesting to see Domeric (or Dom) bringing Ramsey into the family against his father's advice and while Dom treats Ramsey like he was his True-born brother Ramsey is just waiting for the opportunity to kill that way we have another source of tension just an idea

    In the World of Ice and Fire, the king doesn't just die getting mauled by boar and the elderly Lord Arryn doesn't even just die of old age. Nor does the rightful heir to the Dreadfort just die of a bad belly, especially when he did. I wouldn't put anything past Roose Bolton after he masterminded the false flag attack on Winterfell.

    I agree that Ramsey using poison is problematic, based on his character and his ability to get it. However, he could've "poisoned" Domeric by grinding up some fecal matter into some ground beef and making his beloved brother a nice undercooked hamburger.

    I am SO excited for these videos. So much strangeness going on in this family. Like the fact that the Boltons have no family tree before Roose, and this is strange as all the other houses, major and minor as minor gets, have extensive trees. I don't buy into the whole "Roose is a skin stealing ancient" bit there is something very weird about his family. Keep them coming gorgeous lady! I can't wait!

      P.S. The Boltons are one of my favorite families. Roose has such an interesting and notably sick psychology. I love George's characters that have such deep and disturbing psychosis. You have to ask yourself why. George says no person is purely good or purely evil so you have to wonder...what about Roose and Ramsay...

    • @71invictus
      @71invictus 8 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      +Kasey Fife The Boltons were Kings back in the day,the last house in the North to challenge the Kings of Winter(Starks) as the Red kings of the Dreadfort held much of the land east of Winterfell,finally bent the Knee to Winterfell just as the Andal invasion commenced and actually allied with the Starks to hold off the Andals,a major reason the north is the last place in Westeros which is still dominated by the blood of the First Men.Since they have remained subservient to Winterfell until Roose Turncloak betrayed the first King in the North in 300 years: Rob Stark.

    • @kaseyfife5126
      @kaseyfife5126 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I do understand that. Awoiaf pulled apart quite a few unknowns. My point is this family is (as far as I have read and seen, and could very well be wrong) lack in NAMED ANCESTORS. I find it very strange. The Boltons are very open in the books and show about what happened to them and fueled their hate for the Starks (Roose bitching about first night being taken away and commenting that quite a few northern houses practice it, they just keep it well under wraps). I appreciate what you're saying, I appreciate the lesson but it's off point. I want to see a family tree, I don't buy into skin stealing vampire but as the Starks have First Men blood that is "magical" in a sense, why not the Boltons. The question is what is it exactly. In a world of dragons, ice zombies, tree people, faceless men and skinchangers, what is up with the Boltons? If you have a family tree, I'd love to see it. I'm sorry you missed my point, it isn't the how of the Bolton family, it's the what.

    • @kaseyfife5126
      @kaseyfife5126 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      And do you know what is so great about ASOIAF? We have facts and we have unknowns. We have unreliable narrators and one sided histories written by bigoted maesters. After my fifth reread I still learn new things. I appreciate cold hard facts but I love the intrigue of the unseen and unspoken. It's maesters and Mushroom. It's Ice and Fire. It's life and death. It's detail and hidden in plain sight. I'll say this again, and I do not mean to offend, but... these are things that on the surface have facts, as you've stated above, and they have unknowns, as I stated was the relevancy of my statement. Asoiaf is a mosaic of glass shards, it's painful, it's beautiful, it's meant to twist the mind. So, I am asking from one fan to another, out of mutual respect, don't assume someone is misinformed when it is clearly a statement of opinion.

    • @71invictus
      @71invictus 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      You're speaking of the esoteric,why would I be offended,if I offended you it certainly wasn't my intent. You certainly know your ASOIF history from what I can see,perhaps I did assume but here's to TWOW and a quick release date.

    Was there any evidence in the books that this Reek was actually 'molesting' Ramsey? Because what transpired on the screen really suggests that this servant did things to the TV show's version of Ramsey as a child maybe (although both were pieces of work!) contributing to his cruelty as an adult. It sure would explain some of the things he did to Theron, his 'stand-in' for Reek. I know this video is old but still I'd like to know.

    Actually, i think Domeric was a bastard, but not from Brandon, but Benjen. I have thought this after Jon and Benjen talked about being a bastard and having fathered sons. Maybe that is why Benjen joined the NW, because he didn't want anyone to think Domeric was his son or he joined after Domerics death because of guilt. Bettany Ryswell died of a fever, but what if Roose did kill her too.

    Would it not be interesting if Roose faked domeric’s death as a away to save his true born son and not have to kill his blood (kin slaying is a big thing in asoiaf). He could have easily make the maester back him up for fear of death. Then when the boltons are near extinction boom domeric is back as a safe guard. Outlandish yeah but nice to think about🤔

  • @tatalsaba

    Had Domeric lived, I think he'd have supported the Starks, with two daughters to court, he'd have seen a chance to not only further his family line and put the old rivalry to rest, but also get at least three brothers (with bonus brothers in Theon and Jon) in the deal.

  • @Zeruel3
    @Zeruel3 5 ปีที่แล้ว

    I think Reek did it at the behest of Ramsay's mother, Reek drank Lady Bolton's perfume and it nearly killed him, so he could have used perfume in lieu of poison (and perfume going missing from the late Lady Boltons effects would be far easier to overlook/hide). Ramsay's mother also gets revenge on Roose and gets her son not only out of her hair but as Lord of the Dreadfort, the entire reason Roose raped her was because he was a lord and felt like he could so he did. So her son and her blood ruling the Dreadfort would be a delicious revenge for her

    I think Ramsay is MORE THAN CAPABLE of enjoying someone dying from poison, depending on the poison used. Stomach of the bowls is open to interpretation, but it could have been the stomach lining having been dissolved and him devouring his insides via stomach acid. Could have been some agent that burns through the body, could be a number of things.
    Regardless the way he died, stomach issues are en incredibly painful way to die, especially in those days. Knowing your enemy is dying through pooping or vomiting might not be the most glorious way but....
    Imagine being the outsider bastard son who was pulled into the family by your half-brother who has ALWAYS been someone you looked toward with a sense of jealousy, as he had everything your blood has to offer, while you're a known but left alone bastard, having been left to grow up in the cold, with a mother that is able to feed you with a little extra coin tossed her way.
    You're unsure of your permanence in this position, so you make your brother like you, and you get your father used to you being around, but you secretly hate your brother and you realize, with the legit brother around, why would dad need you to inherit. You decide to kill him, get the poison and feed it to him.
    But, his brother didn't drop to the ground as his throat shut on him. His brother died curled up, holding his stomach, no doubt vomiting and writhing in pain, something we've seen that Ramsay enjoys doing with Theon. He's content to sit and watch things play out, as long as he knows he did it in the first place.
    Perhaps this was his first thrill of the Bolton lifestyle, that lead him to become a torturer and a hunter of men, but who knows.

    I think the Starks with John Arryn did the honors. They knew the Boltons would revolt again with such a great (horrific) leader like Roose and a favorite thinker and rider like Domeric added with Ramsey would have been awesome to say the least. They would have had support from Domeric's mother's people in the south as well. Domeric would have elevated the Boltons. Also, his death was the real reason for the red wedding. It was more revenge than betrayal. 😈

    I hear he was very good with a harp and a talent for a joust. Is that what he would do all his life? What I would've given him the Dreadfort for? Prance about on a horse and play the harp? Soft little boy yet defiant and proud, but perhaps he had potential

    My theory is roose killed him and wear his skin to expand his life , he's even look like him if you consider how domeric will look like in 40
