- The Onewheel XR was known for its robustness, heralding the title "tanky" by most of the community. I feel this. Back in my 20s I used to wear hats religiously every single day (now I wear hats at least 70% of the time lol) but one day going to work my hat flew off the back seat of my sport bike (I mainly wore hats bc I was lazy and didn’t want to have to style my hair after wearing my helmet) and everyone was literally mouth to the floor shocked that I had a full head of hair. 😂😂😂

@@mat00ben makes my board thicker, and heavier! if I dont have to run a plate, and the actual footpad material is super durable as demonstrated, ill be tossing out all my metal plates

FINALLY!!!!!!Well, that went by way too fast. Thank goodness Jeff likes what I like. I just hand made a Kush Lo Front Footpad out of wood, in an attempt to solve some of the problems mentioned in this video. Man I wish I had an R & D budget. Sadly, me being able to afford all of the mods on that board, good ford, I'd have to give up a whole other board. I guess retirement is going to have to wait. Thanks Lijh and JM, I'm hoping the XRV kits drop soon, I'm so past ready.
TFL I can't wait for you all to make motors and drop in controllers. Really stoked to have a fully TFL board tbh
I think i need these footpads 🤩.
Only thing i wasnt to say is that putting angle on footpads is dumb, we angle the rails, why also angle the footpads? That just raises ride height. Go steep and deep with flat or symmetrical concave. Tho to be fair, you guys are using the wasted height to fill with the new fancy electronics so ill give you a pass.
I’m dealing with this exactly. Kush high on back and Stompie on the front with steep and deeps and BTG and it’s way too tippy. I’m thinking of going stock XR sure stances but if anyone knows of any 3d print low profile footpads let me know please!
With all the Pint/Pint-X/ Pint-S/Pint-V action going on, it would be really really neat if we got a 5” hub for that platform!
Hell, even fm says it’s their most popular board ever.
With the recent upgrades and unlocks, that board is quickly turning into a mini monster.
Also Tony is dropping an 84v for it Q2 next year.
AND he’s making his Pint sized board that he mentioned will be compatible with FM pint boards…
I feel like the platform is so overlooked and even more so now with what it’s starting to offer.
I swear, my PintX-V with the lil duro tire, flared front footpad and Kush Hi make it a mini XR that’s an absolute dream to ride. Hell, I picked it over my two floatwheels while at Winman 80% of the time.
A 5” hub would be such a dream come true. 😉
Fun fact, the XR MTE is compatible with Pint: thefloatlife.com/collections/tires-bearings/products/mte-5-hub-xr-compatible
MTE hubs fit on Pint stators (not sure if you want the GT or XR option though.) The issue is there's currently only one tire that has a 5" inner diameter and also fits on the Pint without rubbing.
@@DoctorDugong21 Are you referring to the Hoosier 11032D10/D20A or can you say what else fits?
@@RTFM-n1n Not sure, I just know I've seen mention of pretty much only one tire fitting. Either in previous MTE related videos or perhaps on Reddit

Completely agree on the max erpm. With the 126v boards they will free spin well over 60mph causing big issues on drops, jumps, etc. We have wheel slip detection in float/refloat, now it's just a matter of time/safety/testing before we get free spin erpm limits which would be best of both worlds. In theory it should be possible based on conversations I've had with folks. Can't wait to get a kush gLOw and I'll probably give the controller box a try and replace one of my aging 3DP boxes.
Yeah man, I've been trying to talk Dado into making a "traction control" setting based on that theory. He ain't into it haha

Sick build. The easy access to the inner hub bolts is a really great QOL feature!
Defo a good feature yeah. They cut holes in the half and half drop kit too to check the inner bolts mega fast

I've been planning an XR VESC conversion for so long, this is exactly what I want! When are those juicy footpads coming out?
I always try and look at Jeff's board in videos to see what he's rocking cuz if it's what the jefe is rocking, I want it too.
The XR is so "robust" I replaced or upgraded every single part. LOL! Seriously, it's a sweet ride ;)
You guys having any mosfet issues on any GTS?
No Mosfet issues, but we have had 4 of them and 2 had random shutoffs.
@@TheFloatLife blown mosfets on my board twice within a six month period after first repair, shut off mid ride on me, almost too scared to ever ride GTS again
@TheFloatLife please also put them up on your european shop. The availability of XR stuff in there is a little ... thin :P.

Duuuude, I haven't been this excited about new products in a long time. I have GOT to get a few of those new footpads as soon as they're available!!! Love the usage of the max ERPM, that can def take away some of the bite. I haven't messed with the startup angle, but I use "dirty landings", "push start", "simple start" and "disable moving faults. Have you tried those out?
May the TFL XR controller box fit the new Floatwheel XRV kit vs. using a FOCr? I have Fungi complete boxes, but have been advised against using them for stunt pack trick builds, partially just due to adaptations needed across the other components. Would love to see ya'll and Nico really get into the 'how and why tos' of various types of VESC builds, vs. trying to sort through forums and opinions...

What sensor are your riding, I looked at the links in this vid but they are only for the foot pads on ur site, do you sell that front sensor on ur site? If not ware can I get it?

When we gonna get some more straight and lift/lower center steez? I love my WTF steez, but i'd like to be able to swap to straight without switch rails entirely.
Better footpads! I need to set down as low as I can get. Side sloping and carves on trails can get me close to roll off. Lower down with protection for the bat box is king!

Wow, the ERPM limit is ingenious, why haven't I thought of that? In addition to being more jarring, higher RPM generates more heat and eats your battery faster. You just have to make sure no one is ever gonna be going faster than that on the board, otherwise, they're gonna have a very bad time 😅
What's the School of thought behind only having center Steeze change ? Rather than also have longer quarter panels or shoulder quarter panel s. Other than easier to change center

That new Kush Lo 😍 I hope you can sell them as dual zone sensors (or with a way that they can be made into dual zone at home like the newer Stoked Stock sensors.) I still like having the heel lift option.
I ain't a hell lift kinda guy, but if you're on VESC you'll be able to tweak your ADC values to make it heel lift compatible
@@TheFloatLife I see, "if you're on a VESC" is doing a lot of legal work there! Works for me, I will be. OG Kush Lo + dual zone Stoked Stock is fine on my FM board. I've freaked some pedestrians out with tire chirp / backspin on my quick stops, so I like having the heel lift for crowded areas. BTW The Box looks like a fantastic middle ground between 3D prints and more expensive boxes like Fungi and AV/ELM.

Have a 4209 xr no chip but with the extended battery. Been thinking about selling. Non updated. Have that plus original and hyper charger. What do you guys think is a fair price?
@TheFloatLife I have a love-hate relationship with my 5 inch pioneer in mid
loses some traction at higher (16.5) psi - I got 2 wipeouts because of that - once on a stone road, once on painted pederastian crossing with some sand from the beach :/
at lower psi the board has great traction, but less torque (FW GTV)
a narrower tire with a similar agressive traction pattern would be great ;)

If you VESC you can do anything you want! The software and hardware locks are on the FM controller/bms so replace those and the sky is the limit
