Hi man! Just want to thank you for this amazing build! I just made the same build, but used Unfathomable darkness + Tarnished nightmare combo. It is perfect. Just went 13-4-14 in the deathmatch and I have everything purple and missing 3 dual wield passives. So it will be only stronger. Thank you for your hard work!

I’ve never really gotten into DKs. It may be good to take one of the two DK Toons I have and dedicate her to PVP with this build.
I love 1 Bar PVP builds. I find that bar swapping when someone is applying great pressure to my face quite distressing. Having all the tools I need available on one bar always helps keep me calm in those situations.
I’ll probably need more health or armor, though. I’ll try the build as you’ve crafted it, but will most likely end up sliding the health bar to the right or slapping on some Health glyphs.
I’m quite excited to try this bad boy out!

Dks are really strong right now, great timing to be interested haha. Still not fully sure how the cards land post-necrom, but as of this moment, they are a blast to play and are performing very well in PvP. I hope you enjoy it!
One word of caution when you adjust the build to meet your needs later. Tacking on more health or defensives on a build isn't always a good thing, it CAN be, but it isn't a universal positive change (depending on the state the build is already in). Specifically, if you are feeling pressured when someone is in your face and struggling to stay alive vs. killing them, reducing your damage for the sake of more health/resistances can easily just end up with you having the same end result, just dying a bit slower and having even less of a chance of killing them first. In that scenario, just spending more time and getting more proficient at the class/build/playstyle will net you much greater results than trying to band aid it with more "survivability."
Like I said though, its not a universal thing. There's a sliding scale there between the player and the build of where that sweet spot is. The opposite of my example can also be just as true where a build may be very weak defensively and having that little extra beef on the build can go a long way for you. I can tell you this though for your own info, the "standard" of sorts of what many players aim for, is about 30k HP in CP environments, and somewhere around there for no CP environments like BGs. It's not that having MORE HP is a bad thing, it's that what you have to sacrifice to get it, often times isn't worth it. I personally feel good around 28k or so HP in BGs on a build like this. It's plenty of wiggle room to get out of bad situations and with enough damage to deal with many Vamp3 Players. But that's for me, everyone is different.
Wherever you land with it though, I have no doubt you're going to crush it! 💪
Yes one bar series would be great. I don’t always PvP so having easy start points is nice.

Just come across this build, used it tonight - awesome! I've never been good at PvP and I managed to stay alive and get some kills. Highly recommend for anyone that's not great or experienced in PvP.

This was the first pvp build I started to chase, i wanted to try it before committing so ive got non maxed gear with varying traits on some pieces. After trying this in battlegrounds... Im going to be golding out the armor and weps and chasing those hakeijo for this build!

I for one would greatly appreciate a series of 1-bar PvP builds.... it's almost exclusively what I use ever since Oakensoul came out. It literally opened up the world of PvP in ESO to me. Combine that with your expertise and theorycrafting = AMAZEBALLS! Bring it, we are ready!

I modified slightly by putting other set as Trick daddy and I stopped dying as much feels great in Cryodil. In BG I still run the explained setup

Hi Dan, thank you very much! Kenna is just a random Monster set with Weapon/Spell damage that I had in heavy weight. Any similar 1 pc will work totally fine for you. Since we are only concerned about the 1 pc bonus and the weight, the 2 pc bonus of the set doesn't matter, so you can use any of them you like that also has weapon/spell damage.

":Build stacks" if you cast 2+ nox breaths in current meta you are dead. It is a great build and probably the best balance like you said of CC, defense and damage for one bar. Works great with HA too so you have distance pressure and melee.
I didn't understand the majesty of one bar builds until I watched a video for magsorc to clear Vateshran. I got the "Undying Song" title in two days and all the loot I needed haha.

I personally use the the pull ability and a shield and one handen more tanky but less damage I do like it more sinse I love the blocking than using overtime heal at the same time

Hi SumDude! You can, you will just lose a bit of overall output losing the duel wield passives. It won't change the gameplay at all, but it will be slightly weaker. Great question!
My biggest peeve with MMOs is the need for a second bar for proc'ing benefits. Let the fact I choose to play with one weapon Vs two be punishment enough.
I keep arguing that Oakensoul has revised PvP for a lot of us!
I run your other oak build (plaguebreak / unleashed) and it absolutely melts people still to this day.

Is there a reason you're not a vampire?
Thank you Velgellar and thank you for watching! I didn't go vampire mainly just to show it isn't "necessary." Most proficient people are running around vamp stage 3 bruisers on so many builds and I just wanted to showcase a bit you dont have to follow that trend if you didnt want to and still can do well with a good build. If you prefer to run vamp, you absolutely can without any issues. Just pay attention to your sustain, if it gets tight, you can always throw on 1 recovery or 1 spell cost reduction glyph on a jewelry piece and you should be solid.
I run this on stage 3 vamp . Only for the 30% damage reduction. Only thing I need is critical resistance up a little more . I might try it with out it and switch to to nord . I am an imperial at the moment. Other wise this build does insane damage even more then my zann monster set for how much the sets proc up .

Hi Cyber! I talked briefly about CP pvp right around the section I show CP. The TLDR is it works in CP pvp but you just have to be smart about your target selection. Its still a 1 bar build at the end of the day and there are a ton of vamp stage 3 + sea serpent magdens and DKs out there that youll have very little chance against if they are proficient. If you are tunneling into a brick wall, just turn and burn another target. The build definately shines in no CP pvp however. Thank you for waytching!

Hi David! That would mostly be an individual preference thing. Imperial helps your sustain, vamp hurts it. So any adjustments to be made would be if you are struggling with sustain or not when playing. It may be a matter of play style, the build, or both. Sort of impossible to point in a direction without knowing what difficulties are existing. If you try it out and have some issues, let me know and we'll see what we can do.

Also I think I love oakensoul builds because they are so limited that they can make room for build diversity. Ive got my one bar dk for pvp and it looks and plays completely different than this one which is super cool. Yours has a much better combo than mine, but mine is much more pressure oriented which is a fun difference. (Video for it coming out as soon as its done processing so you can judge it if youd like)

Oof that's a tough one! haha. I would have to mess around with some sets in game. A lot of play testing went in to land on the 2 sets from the vid. If you remind me one day on stream, I don't mind taking a look for you.

I still use it on this build but there are lots of options out there currently. It's not nearly as popular as it used to be. Check out the Way of Fire set as well. Another very popular proc set.
I have a question: not better to have nirnhoned weapon on second slot? Because of the skill dual wield expert
Hi Igor! Nirn works in the main hand so its best to have a different trait in the offhand. You can check this in game by putting the nirn 1h weap in different hands and checking your weapon/spell damage. It should only increase with Nirn in the mainhand.

Is plague break still viable?
Hi Bryan! It's not as strong as it was, but still useful in the right set up. There are definitely better pure damage proc sets out there, but honestly, I still use plague when I play this build. It has perfect stats, disease/minor defile, pen, etc. Those things end up very useful because you clean up most of your kills in the stun/burst combo that you can do on repeat. So while the dot pressure certainly helps with that, having the pen, defile, etc. also helps secure the kills. It's probably a highly debatable topic. I do think possibly a lesser proficient player may have a bit better time with a set that will provide stronger sustained pressure, as plague will help you kill people after you press buttons, but not really do it for you on its own like other sets out there. It's very cheap to buy in off traits if you wanted to pick it up and see if it works for you.
Hey Dooma.thx for the build..Exuse the noob question, but do you still benifit from duel wield passives if you have no duel wield skills slotted? Still leveling up....this build is a load of fun..
Hi John! I am really glad you are having fun with the build! I have been playing it this week of and on myself too haha. This isnt a noob question at all! You do benefit from the passives, you only have to have the weapons equipped. We dont be utilizing all the passives with this set up (ex: the Slaughter passive, since we dont use any DW abilities and Controlled Fury for the same reason), but the ones we do use (Dual Wield Expert, Ruffian, and Twin blade & Blunt) makes it worth it. Hi Larrball! Proper builds are very important in ESO. Without quite a bit of game knowledge to know how to work around things, having a proper build to clear content is essential for anyone wanting to make sense of things and grow within the game.
I might be wrong here but isn't plaguebreak kinda useless in BG? I mean, aren't there other sets that preform better in BG then this set?
Sure, in large group IC or Cyro I can see this set being very devastating, but in 4 man BG's???

Hi Devon! There are lots of comparable sets out there now for sure, but plaguebreak is still a decent option. It's not only useful vs very large groups, it performs well in BG much of the time especially with how much the meta is team fight-centric currently. Also, the 2, 3, and 4 set bonuses are about as good as they get for pvp with a line of pen and 2 lines of weapon/spell damage. Last, the proc also triggers Minor Defile reducing healing and health recovery by 8%. So the set has a lot going on in general with the set and what it provides.
Bro, I was already going to make this build and then saw plaguebreak got nerfed :( Would be great to know with what to replace it. Also, why not vampire, for resource management?
Hi Leivendil! This is on my list for an update. For now, you can use Way of Fire in place of plague and everything else is mostly the same. Just to see how bad plague was performing, I took it to some BGs with this set up a little while ago, and it actually wasnt bad at all. There is obviously better options, but if you have plague already, you can still get out there and make some noise with it until you farm up something else.

Hi Panos! There are lots of options. You can also run a defensive set like Mara's Balm. Offensively I have seen Way of Fire used. Order's Wrath for a crit set up. I would experiment with what works best for you. If you are interested, about 6 months ago I posted this build with a few different set ups that may work well for you as well. @@Dooma Hello Mr D, thanks for the reply. Regarding Way of Fire, I assume that it will only proc with the LAs, since there are no weapon skills on the bar. I was wondering why you chose the UD set. Is the proc damage that good compared to other proc sets or even Innate Axiom set that will buff your class abilities?
@@panoskaraivazoglou551 You are very welcome! That is correct, from your light attacks (which you should always be doing (light weaving) to maximize damage). UD is a set that has good stats and a strong proc but there are several others out there that would work just as well in general. There are lots of ways to set up 1 bar builds. Some heavy on steroids, some heavy on procs, and everything in between. It depends on many factories. Class. Content. Intent. Etc. Your line of thinking is great. I have a recent video that will give some really good context about ESO builds, directly relative to your question that may help make sense about ESO builds in a general sense:

Hi Cayetano! That's the one pvp mode I dont really ever play. This build would need to be changed quite a bit for no cp cyro. Let me think on this a bit, a few people have asked a similar question recently. I'll put a post in Discord this week, or this weekend about it.

Hi Eric! It is! I don’t remember if this video mentions using plague break for pve but that would be the only thing no longer in use. It’s been disabled in pve environments but still works in pvp.

I made the same build but I don't have 5700 weapon damage like you do. How is that possible? My weapon and spell damage are 5000.

I’m out a town until the morning but feel free to go ahead and post it. Just tag me with @dooma so I have a reminder.
There’s 2 good ways to post a full build screen shot:
1) download the addon “overview” then in game type /overview
Make sure all the tabs are enabled (you’ll see it after typing /overview) and post that screen shot with everything showing.
2) With the cmx addon hit a target dummy then leave combat. Bring up the post fight report (you can key bind this in the key bind menu, just scroll down to find it or /cmx in chat I believe). On the left are tabs. I believe the icon is a circle with an “i” in it. Click that and it will show your build. You can post that screen shot.
3) My favorite way and the easiest way is the addon “Superstar” which all you have to do is type /superstar in chat and it shows the whole build. If that works that’s super easy for both of us. But last I tried to use it, it wasn’t updated for the current patch. May work today, haven’t tried in a while.
Post one of those and I will take a look for you when I get back.

Hi Jake! It still works very strong. Some people no longer prefer Plaguebreak after the nerfs, but there are lots dot proc set options replacements, such as Way of Fire.

Go to the written guide and plug in Way of Fire where Unfathomable Darkness is and then move Unfathomable Darkness to where Plaguebreak is. It will make sense when you look at the chart. Alternatively, you can also still use plague break in the way that its set up. It's not S tier anymore, but I do fine with it in BGs.

I love your builds but this one is ten ply soft. The combo is fantastic but you can’t get it off half the time
Hi Cristan! That's going to be a playstyle thing possibly. If you are getting blown up, try to lean on the well fitted traits and positioning. If you are more of a toe-to-toe player where you like to out tank people, you may look at something like Way of Fire in heavy with some inpen traits. This one is played slippery, lots of dodge rolls, lots of rip and dips. For sure isnt for everyone, but it's a lot of fun if it ends up working for you! Damage is crazy out there right now, so finding a build you vibe with well is super helpful.
One bar builds are the only way to go it's nonsense about jumping back-and-forth 2 different bars is just not Worth the effort
