Just saw this when looking for DK builds to use for the Archives. Love having less skills to worry about. ALSO thank you for actually posting your score showing that you've actually used this build!
Hi Phoenix! Awesome, I hope you enjoy it and thank you taking the time to leave a comment! 🙏 Under the community tab above (and in Discord) I had also been posting screen shots of the IA scores along the way so people can see where they were at in development as well. I plan to keep doing that for everyone as various things develop.
Just used this build today and got through arc 4 until some terrible RNG (got a marauder unexpectedly), then looked away for a second not paying attention to mechanics and got flung off the platform from the one dragon boss lmao ANNND the icing on the cake (my final thread), went to put my controller down and dropped it, ended up walking off of the platform where you kill the bosses, that was definitely my thirteenth reason. 😂 will be going back in tomorrow and plan on wrecking it! Thank you for this build/guide! I appreciate you!
For minor brutality, you could drop the poison enchant and run a minor brutality poison! That may free up that skill slot from eruption if there is something that would be more effective, like noxious breath there for extra pen in the later arcs, an okay chance at poisoned over its duration, and an extra sticky dot for when you have to kite everything/flipping teleporting mirror atro in the Tho’at fights! You’ll lose quite a bit of stamina regen with this setup, but that may be fine depending on visions you get.
Looking forward to try this one too. The other build for Warden also makes a great solo boss killer. It easily wipes out the 3 hardest bosses in Blackwood. Also, solos well in the portals.
Ty for the time and effort to put this build together; like what everyone said its much appreciated. I would of responded sooner, but after my run, a few of us tackled a bottle of johnny walker blue hehe. Today i was lucky enough to see this build first hand, (person that recommended this site to me made this build) and we had a good run. The one crux I noticed is he had to run to every mob to tag it for the health return and it seemed troublesome at times. But his survivability was solid and rezzed me a bunch. Lol i learned two things today lol, after Starting arc 6 is like playing a totally different game and entropy entropy and enthropy everything, miss an add it will cost you.. sorry for the rant n ty for your post.
If you switch the Hands from Reinforced to Nirnhoned I believe you get more resistances, not much, but more for the smaller Hands and Waist as opposed to Reinforced
For sure, nirnhone is better on the gauntlets over reinforced. However, I'd move Divines to the Gauntlets from the Helm and Reinforced from Gauntlets to the Helm if we're looking at optimized traits. That's around 150 - 166 more in resistances over the current setup.
Thank you Jester! I messed around with Nirn on armor some years ago for a bash build and haven't touched it since. I completely forgot about Nirn on armor. That and I am probably the least knowledgeable person on all things Tank related (havent tanked 1 single time in years of ESO haha, although I told people I would do my first tanking day "soon" on stream. And by "soon" I mean I have been ducking it for over a year now 😂). Just adding to this thought process here, as a Nord, you are already slightly over the resist cap as is, so getting MORE resistances from Nirn wont actually add any benefit (except for any moments of downtime in minor resolve from Vigor, but still definitely a better option in general here) but maybe it can be used like you are saying and give enough resistances to reach the cap while freeing up another spot for divines for more pen. Also, it may be enough on the small pieces to prevent having to use protective traits on jewelry for non-Nords. I really don't know, but I love this type of discussion. I'll have to hop on the PTS here soon and try everyone's ideas out and see where the cards fall. THANK YOU for the comment and reminder about Nirn! 🙏
Hi Miss Tayzha! I am really glad, thank you for using them! There really isnt another replacement for flare on the DK for Major Protection (Here are the sources in case you were curious: eso-hub.com/en/buffs-debuffs/major-protection). I would use one of these abilities: 1) If you dont need more defense: Noxious Breath 2) If you want a burst heal, you can use Coagulating Blood (Green Dragon blood can work as well but its a little less "bursty" and has a small HoT component. Make sure you read the tool tip to see if that's something you would want. 3) If you need a ranged defensive for things like Flameshapers you can use Protective Plate (DK skill. Base skill: Draconic Power>Protective Scale). 4) Cinder Storm if you struggle dealing with adds constantly chasing you down. This will help you kite a bit better by slowing enemies by 70%. I hope this helps!
Thanks for the build guide! A bit of an open question, do you have any suggestions on how to adapt this build to play with a partner who is a frost warden?
Hi Matthew! You are very welcome and thank you for watching! When playing with a duo, it would be best if one person used a specialized tank set up to allow you to push very high. If neither of you are playing a dedicated tank, when I wouldnt change much for the build as it's designed around keeping you alive for as long as possible and your partner would need the same. If you are interested in one of those specialized tank set ups, here is Hyperoxies which I believe currently still holds the duo record with a run around Arc 34 or so: th-cam.com/video/Ytwr7aEdOPg/w-d-xo.html I hope this helps!
I've been working hard to get this build together and I'm almost there. Question.. Is this build also good for PVE overland content? World bosses and such?
Hi Kendall! I wouldnt recommend it for non-IA content at all. You would have to change so many things to make it effective, youll end up with a totally different build and it just makes way more sense to throw on separate setup for all other solo content.
Didn't you hear?! Can't call it EA anymore, lol. This game is crazy at times. Infinite archive is the correct name. Great build buddy! Thanks for all you do
Another awesome build! I really appreciate the detailed skill/passive information in how they work together. Just a quick question, the written build does not match the video. Will that be updated shortly? I like to review both when working on a build which is why I am asking. 🙂 Thanks for all you do!
Thank you Temple and you are very welcome! I am so sorry, that was totally my fault. The written guide is set to be published tomorrow. I just updated the video description and added it to the pinned comment.
Hi, I don't have Oakensoul and I like to swap bar on my dk and spam 8-9 abilities all the time up to getting a shoulder tendinitis. What solo 2 bar build dk would you recommend. Is there a video about that ? Thanks for great content.
OH haha. I see. I couldnt tell if you were being serious or not haha. I thought you missed the word "don't" as in I DON'T like to swap on my DK and get tendonitis etc haha. My fault. I dont have any specific solo 1 bar builds for the DK, just the Next Level which is due for an update here soon.

For some reason I'm struggling with survival but my mate is running your templar IA build and the fucker just doesn't die...... Asshole face tanked all of Yolnahkriins mechanics and didn't die. At. All meanwhile my ass is constantly dying So I was wondering what you could recommend? I'm running the exact same build in the vid With the exception of the mundus and food I'm soo lost as too why I'm eating dirt so much more than him
Hi Viking! What mundus and food are you using? I would absently drop deadly for leeching. You'll feel an instant survivability increase. Outside of that, its really about getting entropy/embers out FAST, good positioning, moving FAST, and using the rest of your defensives well. A general piece of advice I tell people, and while it may seem silly, is actually the core of many peoples issues: press buttons faster. That's not just being sh*tty. Most people I help with parsing, they are just simply not pressing buttons fast enough. It's not parsing, but it applies here. Be fast. Be intentional about it. Get your dots out fast. Move fast. Positon yourself fast. Stay in that go go go go mind set. Sitting back, getting relaxed, kind of casually going through the motions isnt the move. (Not saying you are haha just in general). This is sweaty content thats also competitive. That upper arc area takes all the focus, all the tricks, a bit of personal ability, and unfortunately, rng as well. Let me know your food mundus, and if you swap to leeching, let me know how that works for you. Id love to hear the difference it makes for you, even if it just doesnt work for you. It's good info for you. You got this! 💪
@@Dooma So running atronach mundus cause the dk is my main and also my tank I use wizards wardrobe to swap to the stuff The food I use is long fin pasty with melon sauce and if I can get some I use bewitched sugar skulls So do you recommend dropping deadly strike for leeching? And being a vamp or not? I think I struggle with getting Into the solo mindset? With tanking Its legit just stand and take all the bullsh*t but solo is a different and difficult monster was looking for an awesome build to solo practically everything Include veteran arenas and vet dungeons on my own. I just thought soloing was like being a tank For reference I started in Feb this year I'm cp 400 right now and I've started making alts of all the classes and as you guessed it...... Their all tanks lmao😂 Wanted a build that was generally unkillable but still did enough damage to solo most things
I do. Drop Deadly for Leching after Arc 3 or 4 (Or whenever you start struggling a bit). This way you can get through early arcs a bit faster. Also change to Lover mundus. Attro will be mostly fully wasted as mag recovery wont be an issue once you start heavy attacking with an ice staff later on (and with the next change). Definately drop that food and pick up bear haunch. If its too expensive use jewels of misrule, and vamp stage 3 helps, but isnt necessary unless you are going for a score push super high arc run. For reference, I have 1 single vamp toon currently, out of all these IA builds and runs Ive published. And if you started in Feb of this year, as in less than a month, you are a million miles head than most people after a month in game. Great job. You'll def go far in ESO if you end up sticking with it. 💪
@@Dooma thanks a million. Bought an armory slot yesterday to do this properly. Went jewels of misrule, lover and vamp stage 3 and leeching Let me tell ya the survivability is wild Also quick question dooma do I drop the inferno staff for the ice staff with a poison enchant? And thanks I freaking love this game mate it's soo rewarding And like I said made all the classes and so far? Warden and necro are my favorite by a huge mile
Haha I love that your loving it and you are very welcome! It's a great time to get into ESO. Both staves will be set up the same. Same enchants, same traits. Warden is my favorite as well! Always had been, with Arcanist a very close #2!
Hey there Steve! Working on that right now. I streamed it on my last stream and will be streaming it again this week. I am changing it entirely to a 2h set up (if we hit Arc 8/9/10 on stream with it).
This only works in the Archive. I wouldn't recommend it at all for anything else and you would have to change so many things to make it viable, it would just end up a totally different build anyway. Something like this is much better for everything else: th-cam.com/video/_FtAlFvcojQ/w-d-xo.html
All of these Serpent builds are good but if you don't get Focused efforts then the damage is so bad by arc 4-5 you can barely kill anything, Is there an alternative to Serpents if you don't seem to be getting FE?
There are other builds, but unfortunately as of now focused efforts is kind of “the great equalizer” and can make or break your run, especially in that middle ground area you are saying. All builds get pushed up against it eventually. And I agree with what you are probably already thinking, the rng gets frustrating when it’s such a big time commitment. I wish I had a better answer for you. It’s absolutely amazing content other than that one big element. I’m hoping u42 brings a bit of a shake up for it with alternate damage generation paths. U40/41 was the start of that it seems with the status effect changes. I hope to see more of it.
Hey man, thanks for the build! Before I craft this, I want to ask this just to be sure: Will it still be viable for update 41 with status effect changes?
"Multi Effect enchantment" what was that again? I try to craft the sets now because this build is sooo intriguing I wanted to give it a go, but now I'm stuck with not knowing which glyphs these are xD Could you help me out?
Hi there! Those enchants are "Increase Magical Harm." Apologies for the confusion! I have been recently editing the image to show the real name of the enchants and not the name the addon gives them.
@@Dooma Thanks a lot that is very kind of you! And many thanks for the video, it was really great and I enjoyed your talking voice as well, thanks for the effort. :)
Hi there! Yes, but it is impossible to do that in upper Arcs (especially on a 1 bar build like this). There are too many mobs and it's too much chaos. Your uptime and overall damage will be significantly higher using Disdain with this play style. Also, your poison procs from light weaving are also extended out to 20s a proc, which is also boosted by 40% from passives. Likewise, your bleeds from Ferocious Support heavies, procing Hemo will also be extended out. This build was last seasons versions as well. Here is the updated one I posted last week (that is also the version on the website): th-cam.com/video/0hpPOX9UJpM/w-d-xo.html I believe I talk about this a little more in depth in the newer video as well. One more thing that may or may not apply to you (not exactly what you are asking about, just a somewhat related thing). Many people who had similar questions or comments in the past we are little off on how they thought Ele Sus works. It applies burning when casted and then reapplies it every 7.5 seconds. However, burning only lasts 4 seconds. So its about ~53% up time per mob if you dont get to reapply it continuously. Even if you get that up to 75% up time going hard, losing 25% damage of your main damage source is very significant, not to mention the poisoned and hemo damage loss as well. I hope this helps and thank you for watching!
@@Dooma incredibly helpful actually. I see your saying you just proc elemental on an enemy at a time so burn can do most the damage and you rotate between mobs right?
@@sgray7391 Thats basically it yep, while spamming it on specific mobs to burn them down after a few Focused Efforts. It becomes the best single target spammable in the game at that point. You also have to reapply it as you go as most upper arc stages are going to last more than 20s.
Hi Viking! Since the hybridization changes in ESO, for many builds, the only different between stam and mag is the color bar you drain/regen and which one it ends up being is just a result from after the build is put together. "pure stam builds" and "pure mag builds" are more outlier builds now and are usually more limiting in most case). You will need to use both stam and mag for this build. Trying to squeeze everything into one resource would break the build entirely unfortunately.
Hi Lex! I'll grab the set up for you next time I log in this evening or tomorrow morning. Do me a solid and respond to this so I have a pending comment as a reminder, thanks you!
@@mrstoleurdog3873 For sure! I finished the build last week on stream (it hit Arc 10 solo) and I have it all set for guides to go out. I have one more build in front of it I am working on today and then I will start this build’s updated guides.
Hi Unicorn! Any heal over time of your choice really. You will be under armor cap from losing minor resolve and you will feel it in higher Arcs however. You can make up for it with traits like protective on jewelry and what not, but each of these moves weakens the build a bit. If you have an interest in leaning into the Archive, it may be a good idea to spent a session in Bgs to get vigor unlocked.
Ho Coldest! I highly do not recommend this for anything other than the Archive. Can it do the other solo stuff. For sure. Will it be totally miserable. 100% of the time. 😂 In IA (if your interest is to go far), your gear doesnt provide the damage, the visions and verses do. Your gear needs to do 2 things: 1) check all of the defensive boxes to gives you as much defensive strength as possible and 2) take advantage of status effects. Without the visions and verses to power the build, you are more or less just playing a tank with no damage in solo content outside of IA. Not a good experience. I have non IA builds for every class on the website for stuff like Vet Vateshran and whatnot but it looks like we just scrapped the DK one due to this patch. This is what I am going to do. Lot's of people have been asking for this. I am going to bump up the DK solo build on my list. I cant say it will be next, but it should be in the next few. If I don't make a whole youtube vid on it, it will still end up the website and in Discord for everyone. Thank you for this comment btw, it was helpful for me as well! 🙏
@@Dooma Perfect! I know a lot of people are looking for the simple build content for PvE using Oakensoul. I did try that archive build at Vateshran I made it to last boss but it was terrible there couldnt kill the ghost wall that gets smaller lol. Right now im attempting with Sergants mail and Pillar of Nirn - seems good so far but interested in what you come up with!
Hi Fitness! In every one of my IA builds, in "upper arcs" you should swap to an Ice Staff. Before that point, an Inferno is fine for this specific set up. In "early arcs" anything goes really, so feel free to make any changes to speed it up for you. In upper arcs, is what builds like this are intended for, in which case, I have found the Ice Staff to be the best option to push far while solo, due to its extra survivability.
Hi Damien! You can use this for all solo content, but it is overkill for most other things so you can add back damage in place of tankiness (CP, food, some skills, etc.)
Hi Gannetus! I JUST took that one off the website. I eyeballed it and it felt a bit dated compared to some new options in the game since that's been posted. I'll put it on my list to check out adding a more modern version of it. Thank you for your interest!
Hi Grant! It does! If you would like to test it yourself without CMX, you can just light attack a dummy until burning procs and look at its proc numbers, then end combat and do it again with Thaumaturge slotted. You'll see an increase in the dot damage. Great question and thank you for watching!
Hi Panda! I really wouldn't recommend it. It's so overkill defensively, that by the time you make all the changes for other content, it would have been much easier and faster to have just thrown on another build entirely.
Hi Drench! It's not exactly a dungeon. It's a rogue-like endless arena that continually scales more and more difficult as you collect more and more power ups to try and make it as far as you can. It's 1-2 person content so you can play solo, with a friend, or with a companion.
Hi Benjamin! It's not the greatest option, but an Orc should work ok for you. Especially if you keep Unstable Ele Wall (Destro Weapon Ability) on your bars to get extra heals from the Orc passives that heals you when dealing damage with a weapon ability.
THANK YOU for watching! If you have any questions, please let me know!

And if you started in Feb of this year, as in less than a month, you are a million miles head than most people after a month in game. Great job. You'll def go far in ESO if you end up sticking with it. 💪
@@Dooma thanks a million.
Bought an armory slot yesterday to do this properly.
Went jewels of misrule, lover and vamp stage 3 and leeching
Let me tell ya the survivability is wild
Also quick question dooma do I drop the inferno staff for the ice staff with a poison enchant?
And thanks I freaking love this game mate it's soo rewarding
And like I said made all the classes and so far? Warden and necro are my favorite by a huge mile
Haha I love that your loving it and you are very welcome! It's a great time to get into ESO. Both staves will be set up the same. Same enchants, same traits. Warden is my favorite as well! Always had been, with Arcanist a very close #2!
Hey Dooma! Would you change anything about this build for update 43?
Hey there Steve! Working on that right now. I streamed it on my last stream and will be streaming it again this week. I am changing it entirely to a 2h set up (if we hit Arc 8/9/10 on stream with it).
Wicked man! I’ll be waiting for the update! Thanks again for sharing all of these builds!
@@stevebigras2217 You are very welcome, thank you for trying them out!
Hi. Are the multi effect enchantments for recovery , add stamina health Magicka. Or weape. And spell damage ?
Hi Jabrock! They are Spell Damage (Glyph of Increase Magical Harm). Thank you for watching!
I am interested to try this build. OTOH I am glad I die on an earlier ARC and still have 1 or 2 hours of the day left.
Haha I know exactly how that feels.
I'm ready!
Can this be used as a solo build as well or would you only recommend this in infinite archives?
Hi Muratalibal! You are very welcome and it is!
@@maggy8197 You are very welcome!
If im spamming elemental suceptibaility serpents disdain doesnt matter because i would keep reapplying it right?
Here is the updated one I posted last week (that is also the version on the website): th-cam.com/video/0hpPOX9UJpM/w-d-xo.html
I believe I talk about this a little more in depth in the newer video as well.
@@Dooma alright thank you!
Can you pls make a stam version of this
Amazing stuff! My dk is a khajit but Ima try and try to get this perfected 😊
Thank you Dyattz! You should be fine on the Khajiit, although Nord is definitely S-tier for this set up.
I’d love to know that outfit! Looks sick.
Hi Lex! I'll grab the set up for you next time I log in this evening or tomorrow morning. Do me a solid and respond to this so I have a pending comment as a reminder, thanks you!
@@Dooma thanks!!
Can we get a updated video please 🔥 or atleast update the website version 🙏
@@mrstoleurdog3873 For sure! I finished the build last week on stream (it hit Arc 10 solo) and I have it all set for guides to go out. I have one more build in front of it I am working on today and then I will start this build’s updated guides.
Is there something I can replace Resolving Vigor? as I don't have allience war skill line?
Great build does this work for vateshran veteran mode? If not what do we change up please! really need a oaken soul dk build for veteran vateshran
On gear you show inferno staff, but when you mention clearing adds you say ice staff? Which is it
@@Dooma thanks man!
You are very welcome!
Is this build only good for archive or can it be used for everything?
Hi Damien! You can use this for all solo content, but it is overkill for most other things so you can add back damage in place of tankiness (CP, food, some skills, etc.)
@@Dooma cool I’m new to eso so I’ve been checking out a bunch of different builds and guides trying to see what would be fun and viable to play
Awesome, welcome to ESO!
:/ is there the old solo stam DK build written anywhere?, I liked the Hexo/pillar build slightly better.
Hi Gannetus! I JUST took that one off the website. I eyeballed it and it felt a bit dated compared to some new options in the game since that's been posted. I'll put it on my list to check out adding a more modern version of it. Thank you for your interest!
@@Dooma yes please! That'd be awesome, always like using your builds too!
@@Gannetus Thank you for using them!
Does deadly strikes and thurmatage buff status efforts damage. Asking for a friend 🤪
Hi Grant! It does! If you would like to test it yourself without CMX, you can just light attack a dummy until burning procs and look at its proc numbers, then end combat and do it again with Thaumaturge slotted. You'll see an increase in the dot damage. Great question and thank you for watching!
Could I use this in PvE content? Solo, 4 man and trials?
Hi Panda! I really wouldn't recommend it. It's so overkill defensively, that by the time you make all the changes for other content, it would have been much easier and faster to have just thrown on another build entirely.
Hi, does this build utilise the Vampirism passives or not needed?
Hi Cyborg! I am not a vampire for this set up. Only because I am a Werewolf and didn't want to drop it haha.
so if we could become vampire you would suggest it? @@Dooma
Crafted and trader vendor gear? King behaviour.
"King behavior" LOL 😂
Is endless archive the new dungeon?
Hi Drench! It's not exactly a dungeon. It's a rogue-like endless arena that continually scales more and more difficult as you collect more and more power ups to try and make it as far as you can. It's 1-2 person content so you can play solo, with a friend, or with a companion.
Does this matter if it's mag or stam dk? Bc I'm a magdk lol
This is a hybrid set up with all points into Health and using Bear Haunch (more health).
Would orc work well
Hi Benjamin! It's not the greatest option, but an Orc should work ok for you. Especially if you keep Unstable Ele Wall (Destro Weapon Ability) on your bars to get extra heals from the Orc passives that heals you when dealing damage with a weapon ability.
DK is King
