- love this! HAPPY HOLIDAYS EVERYONE!!!
All credit goes to: Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky - Nutcracker Suite Op. and Walt Disney Motion Pictures. I OWN NOTHING!!!! null, whatever it is i am suppose to say to not get this removed....
Its sad that this kind of animation will never be duplicated again.
Don't lose hope if Klaus and loving Vincent could get made these days there's a chance
AI will learn to replicate it now
@@djspoonarooni for that to work you're going to have to be able to give it a timing chart parameter because you cannot just have it straight in between we all know what that does it makes things mushy and terrible. Now if they could implement that there's a chance it could happen That being said animation maybe as good as it's reference but there's an element that I just skeptically find can't happen without an artistic intervention
Nah, I'm gonna duplicate it in the future, I just need to find money and help
The music is so eerie but BEAUTIFUL! It makes me think of being at home alone on Christmas eve at night the house completely dark with nothing but a fire in the fireplace and the tree with the stockings hanging from the mantle with the big mantle clock ticking.
Sounds like Ozzie.
calvin777100 sad 😔 but same dude
Makes me remember all the times I went to a Xmas Eve matinee of the Nutcracker ballet
While tiny elves that live in the walls party in the dim christmas tree light
Is tchaikovsky 😉
It’s amazing that this is handrawn
Yea, once upon a time, man actually did organic work
Through in some acid or shrooms & bam! you good to go
hello fellow cuban
Yeah man, it’s totally nuts. I am an artist and I know the sheer volume of effort this must have taken. It’s completely amazing.
Just remember, this was way before 3D animation was even a thing
Fun Fact: The fairies in this sequence, named “dewdrop fairies”, were animated by Les Clark, the same person who animated Tinker Bell in Peter Pan. Their flight patterns are based on the flight patterns of hummingbirds, and they were painted with a special translucent paint
My Great Grandfather was the Art Director on this. So amazing I have this in my blood.
+Joshua Hawkins That's amazing.
Joshua Hawkins wow! That's totally amazing!
Joshua Hawkins how wonderful !
Joshua Hawkins Thinking of this an adult makes me tear up... I remember how mesmerized I was when I saw this. I'd rewind and replay over and over again.
I'm pretty sure you got white blood cells in your blood. Not fairies.
Seriously...the creative ideas for the Nutcracker segment of "Fantasia" were nothing less than genius.
If you really think about it, Fantasia is probably one of the best movies ever to watch while smoking weed.
legion For that reason it had a resurgence in the late 1960's.
LSD ACID SHROOMS
I don't smoke weed. But best movie
* True & Walt Disney would've hated that! He even banned guys with long hair from Disneyland ♣
lol so cool lol lol not.
These creatures are covered in light and I always wondered what it would be like to live as they do without fear or worry or care completely apart from mortal needs, concerns and problems, knowing that as the mortals age, get sick and die, I will still be covered in light and remain as I have everbeen for uncountable ages to come!
Disney, y u no make more Fantasia movies???
OnioDerAmBesten he probably just meant a new movie similar to fantasia.
It would not be as great as the original.
They didn't do well in the box office.
This is the most beautiful song ever wriiten in my eyes.
I cannot express how awesome Tchaikovski was.
He's just uber.
this is what the children should be watching true visions of art! not this new junk that they're pumping into their minds. this animation is beautiful. thank you CLASSIC disney!!
I think you’re being generous saying “minds”.
My great grandfather is the person animated this. Merry Christmas everyone!
I have a hard time believing you.
@@normalperson659 I have a hard time believing your disbelief of him.
You left this comment twice under different accounts.
u to on Christmas day
Nice
Ah 240p, my arch-nemesis.
Here we go again
Only Fantasia can make spiderwebs look so beautiful LOL
Watch the movie "Charllote´s Web" or rather a certain song. Beautiful Spider web´s.
stop the cap
@@michaelkerr7782 I mean it ain’t really cap if in my opinion the webs do look beautiful
Probably the first tune i heard as a kid, strikes a weird cord in my mind seeing this again, such nostalgia i love it :)
The Sugar Plum Faries light up the night. This is Disney at its classic best. Superb! I absolutely loved it.
😀
The will for adventure and fantasy this song gives me is crazy.. Fantasia... It was made decades ago... Still flawless and timeless
Ohh, everything's so sparkly!
My little boy with autism is mesmerized by this video, thanks for posting!
poor spider probably just wants to sleep!
pffffft!!! hahaha!! XD
My mom loves fairies, because they're so cute. Thank you for 🤔 of her.
My Auntie tooo.. I'm sending this to my cousin xxx
i'm just a 3 years old kid again! thanks you so much
Old Disney was the best. It fueled the imagination. I hate the new computer generated crap. It's very hyperactive. Old Disney was soothing. And it was art. Ppl had to paint the images by hand.
The only bit of music from the Nutcracker suite that they missed out on this is the nutcracker title music that they play at the beginning (the Simpsons parodied it). If they make a Fantasia 3 (which I do believe they will due to the first two being extremely popular) they should have the nutcracker sute title music (for that they could have a circus with animals dancing), the ride of the valkyries (for that they could have mermaids watching the birds and flying vechicles and the people in the flying vechicles do not notice the mermaids) and some music from Mozart (they could have things like beautiful gardens growing, caterpillars turning into butterflies and seasons changing such as they could have spring changing to summer, summer changing into autumn and autumn changing into winter and winter changing into spring again
Omg i finally found this.
My teacher used to play us this during our sleep time in preschool (i was about 5 or 6) and told us to imagine this kind of scenario and to tell our imagination. It was beautiful this song and im not sure but i think the video too. Btw im 22 now.. Time flies
I swear Disney people must have been higher than a kite when they wrote and animated this movie.
+Droosmom1970 My Great Grandfather was the art director on this. I can neither confirm nor deny that accusation haha.
They are geniuses
@@storyofafailurex: Who was your grandfather? I'm assuming it wasn't animator Emery Hawkins, since as far as I remember he didn't work at Disney.
@@Marbles471 Curtis Perkins. Hawkins isnt supposed to be my last name. It's a long story. This is Joshua Hawkins btw, I am building my youtube channel and changed the name on it just FYI.
@@Marbles471 Might I ask who you are?
Disney brilliantly used public domain classical music as soundtrack for a fantastic animated feature film! ☺
One of the greatest pieces of all time. Magical.
Walt Disney thank you for making the best movies characters and theme parks may you Rest In Peace ☮️
I always use to find this song creepy....
+Brooke Nyman
Actually, some horror movies use this music as BGM (especially for night-scenes)
+Brooke Nyman Why, it's pretty.
Courtney Cook
Sometimes, depending on surrounding environments, music can produce different effects. Image you're awake in mid-night, with absolute quietness, Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy may make you feel something is sneaking up from darkness. Another example is "The Aquarium" from "The Carnival of the Animals", it's very beautiful, but can be scary if listening in dark, quiet mid-night.
it is cind of crepy
+GeneralWildDog shit now I'm scared
Walt Disney was eating dinner with Leopold one night and they got to talking about The Sorcerer's Apprentice, Walt was saying how great it would be to animate Mickey Mouse in an adaptation of that piece and Leopold was saying how great it would be to conduct it. Fantasia is born Fantasia is #58 on the American Film Institute's List of 100 Greatest Movies in the last 100 years
merry christmas everybody ♥♥♥
240p = glasses off. *Puts glasses on* 1080p x 9001!!!! It's over 9000...
I get this reference
@@sylarmax125 Ohhh yeah hahaha i remember when Connor Cousens said this on fat munter cheese nerd the movie
@@sylarmax125 Nice!
This musical masterpiece makes me want to read Midsummer Night's Dream again...I'm i not right on how both the song and the book kind of blend in :)?
DOM 27 mar 22 mar
Made in 1940 yet still more powerful than much animation made today.
This movie and Sailor Moon are my reasons for pursuing my dream as an animator. I'm now sharing this wonderful magic that is Disney with my son.
believe it or not i believe this is how it really works. I believe fairies help nature grow and make the world shine bright
you're right!;3
TheHalospirit i think its safe to say your both idiots
Tersidre people ask me if I can prove fairies exist. I tell then can you DISprove that they do
Tersidre and you're close minded :)
TheHalospirit and you missed the fact that the last one you commented on was one of the two idiots
This reminds me of my childhood. In first grade and earlier, a music teacher would come in and play songs and dance short little skits to them, like one time we pretended to be witches and warlocks to another tune. This one we pretended to be snowflakes, or fairies. Back when school supported imagination and was fun. Now it's all about sitting down and chopping stories into bits to analyze hidden meanings, never just enjoying or imagining stories.
Ablen español porfa 😞😞
No song encapsulates the Magic of Christmas like this song right here 🔥🪵🎄🎁🌰
this song make me think of horror movie i mean could you imagine walking through a haunted house in the dark alone when this song begins to play
I would have to say Tchaikovsky is my favorite composer. This & Waltz of the Flowers are beautiful.
Combining music & art together was one of Disney's most pure genius ideas ever! I always watched but never noticed as a kid, but now, I love everything about this movie!
This and waltz of the flowers are my favourite pieces of classical music! :)
It's like being inside a beautiful dream so lovely.
The moment you realize all the fairies are completely naked lol
They're nude.
When I see fireflies at night, I think of this song and this scene;)
i remember this because the naked faeries was my favorite part of the movie
Always GOOD ; Walt Disney movies !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I grew watching fantasia yes it is kind of scary because the beat is too slow but I love it
M
I was wondering why everything sounded flat... it must be slowed down then.
I like this song gonna be playing it in a winter concert
Expressive! I really love this timeless masterpiece!
Flamingo gets these views in 1 day
Whenever I am feeling the weight of the world too heavy upon my shoulders, I listen to this and escape to a time long ago, and long forgotten 😊
I think this is the best animation by Disney
Just like the naked fairies
oh i am going to put this song when its critsmas
kreezmas
Tchaikovsky was a genius in my opinion
this was my bedtimes song for all of my younger age i love this
😀 Lovely
A child’s mind never sleeps they just eventually Tucker out
Or get extremely excited and never sleep at all because there every waking moment is with you so they don’t want you to ever leave
Almost the ice dancing one
I LOVE this movie :)
It's reminds me of being a little kid, I miss those days!
if i'm ever blessed to have kids i'm going to place this for them while inside of their mother's womb. its just too perfect.
Wonder why the magic of our world died? Was it because we let these soulless machines and technology replace everything else in our lives?

@TomKennyIsLovely what is it with YT's habit to first reminisce about ones own past, followed by taking a large dump on somebody elses present? "Ah, the Backstreet Boys, those were the times! Today, the charts are only filled with garbage! Blechch!"
05-17-20sun/Wed🐰🎸🇺🇸🎤🐰. *FANTASIA STILL BEAUTEOUS*
The Fairies Are Awesome 👏🙌💯😍😍😘😍❤️💕💞💖💘😍🇺🇲
Is it bad that every time I hear this song now I have to look over my shoulder to make sure there's no partridge with a cleaver behind me...
very pretty but slow.😃
If you turn the speed onto 1.25x, it sounds normal but if you put it on 0.75x, it sounds sinister as hell
Man if only all these fairies joined the Disney Fairies roster and they all had proper names and voices (and TBF if the franchise ever came back from the dead then they all deserve to be in the next movie/short/book/whatever)...
A nice story for you guys.
Yesterday I was playing myself some video games on the pc then this song came in my head for no reason...
I finally after 10 hours thought it was Yoshi Story music somehow. Well I was right, it's used in Yoshi Story Baby Bowser Lullaby.
Then a comment bought me to the original song we got here. fantastic?
i watched this on a disney video at my granny's frnd's place when i was little! and there was this other one about these broomsticks dancing to this waltz song or soemthin. and there was another one with mickey mouse in it. do u guys kno wat they're called if u think u kno wat im talkin bout? and evn if ur not sure, id lov to c more of these kinds of vids so plz tell! :)
One of the best films of all time. So exquisite that you can’t take your eyes off of it due to it’s beautiful animation. And the fact that this was hand drawn before the exist of computers is amazing. A flawless film in animation and cinema history.
such a classic!!!!
It was Christmas Eve, everyone was fast asleep and the elves are preparing for the arrival of Santa’s sleigh, making sure that the stockings are hung in a row.
I wish Disney still made beautiful shows like this instead of crap like Phineas and Herb and the Jonas Brothers only in Japan shows that are just as good as Disney's Fantasia are still being made
Beautiful! Thank you for sharing the enchantment! Happy Spring! 💚
I think this is the best dance of the sugar plum fairy song.
Don't you ever wish to relive those days ic an still relive those days because im 10 yrs old
not to be offensive or anything thumbs up if you love the nutcracker
@EvilSapphires Lol it's from 1940. One of the all time best and classic movies from Disney. Shame on you lol :P Go watch it. You would love it.
Oh god.... Every time I hear that now I think of Shuu of hatoful boyfriend!!! I think I'm going to die whenever I hear this now :(
i couldnt watch that one either... i would cry and have nightmares and be up all night being scared so parents never let me watch it lol.
Why could you have not done this keeping the sound and video in sync? The synchronization of imagery and motion is a big part of the point of Fantasia; without it, you're missing a LOT. There's no reason to fail at this so badly other than simple carelessness, uncaringnes, and incompetence.
@malvarmarakontobro A really un cultured part of me wants to scream
"OH MY GOD ITS THE REN AND STIMPY SOUNDTRACK!"
hahaha
finally i found it !
ive saw this video a lot of years ago.. maybe 10, 12,13 or even more !
..and one day i lost it
some times i usually try to find it again, but with no succes
..until today ! ✨
I watched this with Ms. Grois and my Ethel McKnight classmates. Ms. Grois is my music teacher in Ethel McKnight Elementary.
this song is awesome!!!!!!!!! Thumbs up if you agree!
the only problem with dying is, that I can't listen to clasical music anymore :-( poor tchaikovsky ... rest in piece
Well its Merry Christmas, Not Happy Holidays. If you dont like christmas then why are you hearing this song for?
tetris hizo una version de esta musica para su juego en el año 1985 en la NES .gran cancion hacia que te viciaras mas .arriba la musica clasica ^^
I can't watch this without laughing uncontrollably. I guess because it reminds me of Ren and Stimpy so much.
I'm positively sure that whoever decided to make Fantasia was on mushrooms, but used every last one of their braincells.
HI MYSTICAL ENCHANTIX ITS ME KAREN R H JACKSON I LOVE FAIRIES AND THIS IS A WHIMSICAL MAGICAL BEAUTIFUL FILM I LOVE IT 💘 THANK YOU FOR SHARING THIS SHALOM PEACE AMORE🌹
I couldn't manage to find the Beethoven all in one vid, so the playlist is all one piece.
If you don't watch any other segments, at least watch the third one (The Sorcerer's Apprentice) and the last one (Night on Bald Mountain/Ave Maria); when people say 'Fantasia', those are the first two parts that come to mind. But all of them are masterpieces of classic Disney animation, and it puts the newer Fantasia 2000 to shame.
its a song i know from the nutcracker prince.
but i also love the Fantasia Movie. When i was young, i just heard the good music and i saw nice pictures. but now i am 17 and i have to say this is not just perfectionism, this is better.THIS IS EXTREME MUCH BETTER THAN THE NEW DISNEY SHIT. kim possible and this shit should be banned. we want fantasia, bambi, pinocchio, donald ducks oldies, the nutcracker and also the other good oldies. the new disney is going to stultify us
The sound is a bit late I guess. Any chance of fixing this? btw many thanks for uploading this masterpiece!
For people interested in other melodies from the Nutcracker I just uploaded a video I recorded of music from the Nutcracker played on piano by 20th century modern classical music composer, Professor Walter S. Hartley. It was his last selection at his final piano recital before he retired from teaching at SUNY Fredonia, March 1, 2000, Adams Art Gallery, Dunkirk, NY.
@TomKennyIsLovely It sounds like you think it's sad because they're simply not like you. Why would trying to be a fairy be better than liking a real living person? It doesn't make any sense.
People have different taste in music, it doesn't make the world a sad place. Not liking that others have different opinions and taste does though.
