Was Microsoft right in not inviting Notch to the 10th Minecraft anniversary party?

first off, microsoft is wrong because freedom of speech and its not hate speech, theres a lot of kids out there who think being white is a bad thing and uncool and wish they were any other race, there are people who wish they were gay in order to fit in and seem cool, and u get treated different just because your a man, in this day n age straight white men always get treated the worst, and treated like theyr racist sexist homophobic etc, and its always looked for in them.. second off, microsoft is right because he sold the game so he has no rights anymore, and they dont want him being the face of it because what he said on twitter is portrayed as racist/sexist/homophobic and microsoft wants no part of that, im sure they would have honored his name otherwise.. although that part about being against heterosexualprideday was extreme he couldv used different words, clearly he didnt understand what he was even saying out of anger.. i feel everything he said, and i know he didnt mean any of it in a bad way
In any similar situation, celebrating the anniversary of anyone's actions, whoever did what is being celebrated would be invited as the keynote speaker. But he wasn't simply not keynote, he wasn't simply not invited, he was banned from a celebration of his own accomplishment, and it was done publicly. Perhaps he wouldn't have wanted to go anyway, but the intentional slight was pointless.
What is he really guilty of? Well, the post most complained about is his *ANTI-racist* statement that doesn't play along with the popular far-left hate movement called "social justice" or "woke." Just the other day a little girl in her early elementary years came to her afterschool tutor in tears because she was called "white" (which she was) and thought it was a "bad word." Not surprising considering that a current extremist movement which treats being white as not OK has risen to prominence -- and sadly they have enough power to in may parts of society to punish those who stand against their racism (anyone bothered by "Its OK to be white" is, by definition, a racist). It's OK to be of any color or ancestry, yet that is the statement most often criticized and brought up first by haters. No one is perfect, but Notch is basically the good-guy in these debates. The moral rightness of particular statements aside, free speech is his natural right to use and should not be punished.
(I say this as a centrist/non-conformist who was mostly aligned with the left until it was taken over by these extremists, in case anyone wants to write this off as a rant from a certain political side.)

Yeah, so many people that hate notch make loads of fallacies in their assertions. For example a lot of the hate towards him, come from a combination of the Ad Hominem (personal attack) Fallacy and the genetic fallacy. Instead of actually regarding what he's saying in a literal and unbiased way, they attack him. The idea that its not ok for him to say "its ok to be white" because he is white is in itself the genetic fallacy of judging what someone says by their race/ethnicity. I feel as though this toxic cycle will only end by both sides accept responsibility for their actions, and only theirs, in an unbiased and objective way.

The rule they made was that you can't charge money for gameplay-altering things. I can't just go ahead and buy an enchanted netherite sword, trident, shulker box, etc. I can spend money to make my character look different, but that doesn't alter the gameplay at all.

You think it's silly to get angry over what he said. But he has millions of kids in his audience, and he's exposing them to ideas that should never be in a kid's head. He's a danger to kids with his huge platform.

He recently made a video about parkour and did barely any research at all. Then the parkour community told him what was wrong and even contacted him but instead of correcting his mistakes, he didnt change it. This is basically what happened. Even if the pk community told everyone that your mm maxes out at 6Jumps and mm isnt infinite, people won't believe them because of Dream's popularity. In this case, the pk community would've been people like Ub3r, (he was wrong too but not as much as Dream and Dream stans). This is the same exact thing but Notch's case was much worse. Imagine creating a game! Then not being invited to its 10th birthday. So, imagine spending years on formulas then a person just comes out of nowhere, takes the 5block jump, tells everyone a 5block jump is possible NOT EVEN CREDITING THE ORIGINAL GUY WHO MADE IT POSSIBLE (Ub3r 5block jump Dream used his footage and his exact coords and setup). He didn't credit him and didn't say a word to it after the pk community contacted him. Dream would've been Microsoft in this situation and the Pk community would've been notch (mostly Cynimal who calculated the 5block jump was possible and the max distance without any potions, glitches, slime, hhs, etc.) Flat mm maxes out at 6jumps and stuff. But you get the point, notch was right in the end and yes, I know notch was a little extreme on that tweet but people with decent IQ could understand what he was really trying to say. (Exaggeration of the tweets he made)

It’s really a weird one. Got used by 4chan as an experiment to see how people would react to posters saying ‘It’s okay to be white’ on university campuses (they knew the answer would be ‘badly’). News caught wind of it, as the carrion birds often do, and it became a much bigger deal than it should be. Now it’s genuinely used as a slogan by certain actual white supremacist groups, and people who don’t know that use it because they think that people are being racist in reverse by saying people shouldn’t say it.
In the end, it’s something that would be incredibly simple to solve if people stopped shouting at ‘them’ and started talking about it, but of course the vocal minorities of all groups speak out for the majority, making a fuss of themselves and making things worse for their ‘cause’. Hooray.

Yes they can congregate on 4chan, but these days if you want any kind of meaningful political influence, you need to be on one of the big social media websites.
And if left-wingers/progressives identify these dog-whistles, it can sometimes work in favor of alt-righters because they can fall back on "it's just a joke" or "it's just to troll the libs", which is exactly what you're doing right now (that said I'm not accusing you of being alt-right; I have no idea what your politics are). Another useful thing about dog whistles is that the average person will look over it, and side with the alt-righter when they say someone is overreacting for spotting it.
The okay sign is a perfect example. Because as you say, it was started by alt-righters on 4chan to make people thing it was a far right symbol, and it worked.
