Good content. IMO, you can say that the R has better range in sport too. The increase in top speed makes a huge difference, as wind resistance is squared by velocity. Id take a wild guess and say you would have made it to probably close to 25 miles riding in the 2022 top speed. And in real life you never go full speed alot even if you go full throttle all the time. High Max speed is just "nice to have", but in reality no roads or tracks let you reach that alot. Those flat deserts roads are insane tho! 😂
I love my new r, first thing I did was gear it down from a 44 to a 54 and the torque is insane but still does 43 mph. For woods and single track trails the low gear is a must. It will climb any hill now.
Hell yeah! This is the testing I’ve been interested in. This is how I rode my Sur Ron. If I knew I wanted to chill and get a long ride, I’d use eco to travel farther end use sport for fun sections. If I knew it was a quick rip, I’d just go max speed everywhere. A lot of people complain that the battery doesn’t last long enough. I went to a track on the north shore of O’ahu and my friends on gas bikes were sweaty and tired of riding while I had 30% left. Obviously my 2 stroke cam go all day. But maintenance isn’t cheap. And it’s ridiculously loud. Electric can rip a golf course at midnight and security has no clue.

@@Talariaboys just ordered one. Should be to me in a few weeks. I’ll give you my opinion or if you make it up to WA state you can take it for a rip. Going to build a track and I have hundreds of miles of trails in my back yard and a place to stay if you guys make the trip.

they were going flat out not utilizing regen which returns energy back to battery. This is worst case scenerio all out test you shouldnt use as a bible. @@Talariaboys The thing is, if it has any at all, there is zero difference in any of the 4 levels, none. Wind resistance grows exponentially. That extra 5 mph makes a huge difference.
not only that, no companies will everrrr do a range test pinning the throttle the ENTIRE time. this is a pretty silly test
