Know the rules, then break them. You guys are always pushing limits--seeing what works better--trade-offs, and are not afraid to fail in the process. Thank you for all your hard work; it will pay off, Talaria Boys!
these bikes are so g@y
Man, you guys are killing it!! Everything y'all do has all the details people are looking for, great job!! Can't wait to see the difference with the controller.
@@Talariaboys
Oh, I might have missed it, did you have to add chain links for the 52 tooth setup?
Hi together, is anybody here why will know how to actived TURBO mode ? write below my comment - i will explane
And did you notice a change of the range using a 52 compared to stock sprocket?
I just ordered a Warp 9 16 inch rear wheel build from you. I requested the 60 tooth sprocket but now I'm hoping that's not too radical. Might change it to 54 teeth as stock set up on 19 wheel is 55 tooth, any advice would be appreciated. Also, looking for a light weight beefy knobby for that wheel, looking for great tracking and low rotational mass.. Thank you!
Hi guys doing a great job on the vids, but how does it affect the battery miles riding time would you get more time or less time on the different sprockets??
And what did they say
You know if anyone makes smaller sprockets for even more top-end?
you can try a bigger front sprocket
LOLOL what's a "hoodster"
You tell me 😂
You need a 3D printer to make your own chain guard and other parts.
Should do a similar video with the XXX but maybe try smaller chain rings too to see top speed, since it's more of an on road bike than off road
Does the sting r gearbox fit on the mx3?
Yes they are exactly the same
You realize you lose power with a gear box right?
Through your tests i get a lot of useful information
to put together my dream bike.
Thanks for your good work guys!😊👍
Ima talaria boy, im just tryna make it
Yo ima talaria boy
Hahaha. Them boys be on Bugatti scootes.
Great info.
you should have a summary table of the speeds in the end like sur ronster.
Good idea
Can I increase my speed with a 52 sprocket n not lose any torque? I have a stock mx3. Great vid ❤
When you change your sprocket size you will always gain something and lose something, if you go smaller you gain speed and lose torque, if you go larger you gain torque and lose speed.
I want to see 48 and 50 tooth on the stock R
same
Is the top speed accurate since you are changing the gear ratio? I thought you had to change the ratio in the controller in order for the speed to be correct? Nice video, keep them coming!
I think they were using a gps tracker for the speedo
would love to see a 40t compared as well, I think with enough room an otherwise stock sting R could do 60+ with 40t
Sting R with the talaria supermoto wheel kit would be perfect for street. 17" street tyres, 40T sprocket with chain size corrected. Swap the brake rotors over for the R larger ones and youre cruising easily 👍
@@ryansmith3378it would be fkn gutless though... Eride comes stock with a 55t sprocket @ 60mph. It's a fkn animal and it's much cheaper to upgrade suspension instead of motor/battery/controller.
I love u dudes so I hate seeing you do 50mph with a bike helmet on. Sorry but just saying boys
Good looking out. Since this video we have all upgraded to moto helmets
Great vid! The thorough testing of the bike I appreciated 👍🏻
I don't know what you guys did, my stock mx3 hits 50-51 mph
Your gear ratio is wrong. You are only going 46-48 mph
I thought about these but too dangerous. And may not fly with cop's. Segway Ninebot Pro Go Cart is my choice for honest fun.....
You boys are knocking it out the park 👍👍
Another great video! Do you have the top MPH for the different sprockets? I know the stock 44T does ~53 mph, I'm curious how much you lose with the 52T andd 58T
This ^
@@Talariaboys Just watched it again, yeah you guys do mention once that the top speed is 50mph for 44T, 43mph for 52T, and 40mph for 58T. I missed it the first time since you only said it once really quickly in passing. It'd be nice if you included the top speed in the graphic on the screen, and recapped it in the end.
Awesome! I may try a 50t sprocket
Is the rear brake caliper supposed to be able to wiggle forward and back a little? I changed my sprocket and noticed it even after torquing everything. Could have been doing it before and I didn’t notice
Do we have to change the front sprockets?
no but you can if you want
Just remember the torque might go down.😢
how much link my chain need to be for a 52t ?? thx (mx4 2024)
110 link!
tbelectricmoto.com/products/tusk-420-gold-plated-race-chain?variant=48345171624235
Any specific reason you guys choose KO? I’ve heard mixed reviews
Do they make a 48"T
Warp 9 does
What, i thought these guys had like over 1 million subs cuz they doing the video so professional
Wished there was a smaller sprocket then stock to see diffence of more top speed vs stock.
Boys I’ve added a 48t sprocket to my sting R and it’s made it slower? I’m confused! Front wheel doesn’t lift as easy as it did before with the stock 44t
It will have a slower top speed but should have a little more torque. but not a huge difference in all honesty.
Have you clipped the brown wire?
Do you know what chain is used for a 54t ?
For a 54 tooth sprocket you use a 112 link chain
@@Talariaboys thanks ! Ima fan out here I Hawaii also got a talaria🤙🏻
Great video guys. Do you know what size chain I would need for a 48t sprocket on a stock sting r?
I believe 108 but not 100%
@@Talariaboys thanks. I got a 110 link and removed 2 links. Fits good.
Able to use stock chain for 52 tooth?
No you need a longer chain, 110 link length
how are yall getting speeds that high??? i just got one and its topping out at 28-30 mph. no way these things out of the box goes 40+
I think your issue is you need to unlock your bike via cutting a wire. Talaria boys have a vid on this. Your bike should top out at 53-55mph after cutting the brown looped wire.
For you not to hit the rpm Limiter is because you didn’t change the gear ratio in the computer
Wrong. That does nothing to the feel of the bike, all that does is adapt the speedometer for different size wheels and tires
Hi guys, i just put a 52 on my Sting R. Which gear ratio i have to put to have an accurate mph on the screen?
Thanks for all
1:9.5
Boys that KO Nano ain't a good controller for the talaria, but I guess you're going to find that out real soon.
@@Talariaboys Yeah and I had all sorts of issues with it, between the throttle and the app which when I enquired was told it was in beta and to expect issues, wasn't told that when I bought it though. Ended up getting rid of it.
Anyone know where to get one of those gps speedometers from. The one mounted on the bars of the mx4
The GPS cycling computer we use is called the Wahoo Element Bolt, easy to find online.
Just found your channel, thanks for great content! Sting R on pre-order. If I go straight to a 52 T sprocket on a new Talaria, no need for a new chain, correct? Or would I need a new & longer chain, or just like a master link to extend it from the stock chain size? How much longer from stock size? Thanks!
You need a new chain, it’s 110 link for a 52 tooth. I believe the stock chain is 106 link.
Yes ! Whatever they did to the gearbox we need to know! Lol
what app did you use to test the speeds? looking for an app for myself
We use a wahoo gps cycling computer, it’s extremely nice but also costs a decent chunk! It’s called a wahoo element bolt if you wanted to look it up.
Do yall know what the gear raito is for 52 tooth sprocket
No sorry just try options on the display until its accurate, you could use your phone to check.
Have you guys tried a 42t sprocket? I'm curious of that outcome. If not I have a sting r that I can test it. Thanks for all the great videos boys
We haven’t, that’s so close to stock it’s not worth trying in our opinion. There will be very little difference
Does 55 tooth from luna fits in the chain guard?
Yes I believe it will.
Your parents must be really nice to buy all this stuff for you bro
Our parents don't buy any of these toys for us, we all own personal businesses and work hard for everything we have.
Why only 0-30
Would I need a new chain if I run the 52 tooth or can I use the same chain?
New chain for any sprocket change
60 T is "the big dog!"
Love it! Keep up the great work. Now I want an R….
Awesome guys thank you
Top speeds on each of the sprocket would have be nice to know
It shows all the top speeds in the video… did you watch it?
Add a non o ring chain and you will get an extra 2 mph top speed
Actually no, it doesn't add anything. They did the same test with chains. Nothing changed at all.
link for the 52 tooth?
www.warp9racing.com/product/surron-segway-sprocket/
Every site says that a 52T gear takes 108 chain.. why you say 110? Tanks
Because Surron and Talaria chain lengths are different. Most charts are surron specific and surron is always 2 links shorter than Talaria.
ok so for the mx4 with the 52T, the 110 is perfect? the 108 will not work? I have already ordered the 110!
Incredible review boys
now you guys gotta redo the entire video and change the GR setting on the onboard computer. (GR : Gear Ratio)
No we don’t, we don’t ever use that display. We use a high end gps computer to measure the speed and times. That gear ratio setting on the bike doesn’t do anything except adjust the mph when you change sprockets, but again we use a gps and don’t use the display.
Makes sense. I’d like to see a small sprocket run.
Thanks for this, guys!
Thanks for all the good job you guys do
Why change the parameters of the test by using a different bike
We didn’t change the bike… we just changed the sprocket size which is the test..
@@Talariaboys tbf I jumped the gun with that one but adding the black one in there for the bants confused the test :) not Tryna be a dck I appreciate you guys putting in work for the talaria boys
what about the 48 Tooth?
48 is halway between 44 and 52 so its stats are right in the middle.
does anyone make SuperMoto tires / Street Tires for the Sting R ?
Go check these out from our friends at E-Bike Zilla! We have a set on the way and will be installing them in a couple weeks! ebikezilla.com/en/wheels-tires/76000-complete-supermotor-wheel-set-17-talaria-sting-tl-wt001-talaria.html
@@Talariaboys Thanks !
Lots of fun
what about a 48 tooth ?
We haven’t tested and probably won’t test, it’s just not a big enough difference to make the change. We like the 52 the most
Can’t wait for the 2nd video 👍. Is that headlight plug & play ?
Thanks for watching! if your talking about the xxx headlight no its not plug and play and requires custom wiring.
@@Talariaboys thanks for replying 😎
Are you guys using the stock chain for the 52 tooth sprocket ? or would I have too buy a new chain ?
You have to buy a new chain, 110 link length
@@Talariaboys ok. Did you have to cut the chain at all or is 110 perfect ?
110 is perfect length but most chains come 120 link so you’ll cut it to 110
@@Talariaboys ok thanks !! Sorry for all the questions. I’m probably gonna go with a pro taper or a Renthal chain.
Can’t wait to see what it can do with the KO controller. I just got my sting R and it would be sick to go a bit faster that 50
@shockadellick Ended up going with the EBMX X-9000 CONTROLLER
How tall are you guys ?
I’m wanting to get one of these bikes and trying to get an idea of sizing 👍
Thanks for that. Much appreciated 👍
I put the 52 warp 9 with 420 chain and it sounds a lot louder, should I be concerned? Chain to tight maybe?
Ya it might be to tight, its normal to be ever so slightly louder but shouldnt be much louder.
