hello good afternoon for sharing your video, I have a question for you today I bought those cameras but my question is these cameras do not need electricity? only use the internet cable? Thanks a lot
they need a power supply which can either be a transformer plugged into them, or as the cameras in my video are POE (power over internet, so long as they are plugged into the NVR amzn.to/3OzvPNc or something like this amzn.to/3yDIhGl then the cameras take their power through the ethernet cable and there is no need for a transformer, but this is only for cameras marked as POE
The domes have an IK rating that is a standard for vandal proofing. You may find it has something like IK10. The PoE can run up to 100m from the PoE switch depending on power supply and quality of the ethernet cable. Good video @Barrie.
Does it matter what type of Ethernet cable to buy? Obviously I know I need to work out what lengths I need but if it’s a 4k camera does it need a more expensive Ethernet to transfer the data? I’m only thinking if I bought 4 of these camera + NVR + 4 additional long Ethernet cables the cables would end up being very expensive??
Ah thank you so much for your reply. I’ve watched your tutorial twice now and I’m sure I can do this without paying for installation. Do I also need to buy 4 long HDMI’s so that I can connect each camera to my computer screen??
Dear, I need help! bought RLC-811A today, I wonder what is the problem is since it does not work. I use the blue original network cable that includes in to Poe and CAT 6 network cable to Lant, that going to my network router. I use the Ubiquiti PoE injector. What can be the problem ?
Have you downloaded the reolink app, on your phone or computer? Do you have an ethernet cable going to your computer? If so it should add automatically if everything is on the same network
@@BarrieCrampton wel i downloaded the app on my phone, and scan the QR code under the camera. It getting This error on app when i scan (connection failed. before trying again, make sure your device is turned on and connected to a stable network.)
@@Chessonflex try and add it again on the app click the plus, otherwise check connections and leads, or click the reset button on the camera and try again, occasionally mine says connection failed but then it comes on
