I am using Bajaj chetak for last 9 months and done more than 7000 km. Constantly getting 95km in eco mode and 82 in sports mode. Best build quality. Very satisfying experience.
I am using IQUBE since 1 year and completed 10000kms , extremely happy with the scooter , i own the old version where the claimed range was 75kms (i get around 85km) , only irritating thing is the aggressive regen and boot space which dosen't fit a full face helmet. performance is very good and its easily flickable in the city.
Recently, I purchased Chetak. It is amazing scooter. So practical, premium and sturdy. It's price looks quite expensive, but once purchased you'll realise, it is value for money.
Using Iqube S for past two months.Only real drawback is unreliable turn by turn navigation. Although the biggest postive is mind-blowing suspension which absorbs potholes like champ. Believe me, the supreme ride quality is enough for most buyers who ride on poor day to day road conditions.
own an iQube since 8 months and i have experience driving all of the vehicles listed here the ather sits perfectly for my driving style but my mother and any other person would prefer an iQube due to its comfort and easy to drive also service ola is a dumpster fire no clue on ather but TVs so far has been great had a brake issue and got it fixed by the evening
I bought ola s1 and it was very good and I'm fully satisfied. earlier I had a bad feeling about ola quality and suspension. then I booked iqube, but iqube waiting period is 3 months at same time ola launched s1. i reliazed ola s1 and iqube is offering the same range but ola costs 1.1 lakh and iqube costs 1.4 lakh so i brought ola. Now i completed 1000 kms on ola s1. Here are the pros: - speed is awesome. sports mode will go to 100 within 10 to 15 seconds - range is good as what they mentioned. - key less(everyone saying it is a con. But it is the coming future for cars also. where I won't carry a key and search for the key in home) - Technology (in scooter everything will be controlled by software like tesla. it is the revolution that every company is trying to adopt) and they have free hand to update scooter - range (same range given by iqube and ather at 1.4 lks cost . which i bought at 1 lakh) - storage space is awesome. - headlights is good - design is nice. cause don't need sporty look for scooters. - touch screen is good. - suspension is also good. I've ridden bike in bumpy roads and the suspension is good - speakers - i've added in pro because of sound quality and in nights 11pm I'm playing songs and i'm really enjoying . - least one is software updates. which they are going to add themes and going to add features in the coming days just like the phone. cons: - bump at foot place is bad reall and biggest con. - charging cap is low quality - it's okay my friend replaced and it's costs very low. - everyone saying need center stand . but i won't understand why they need. till now i don't feel it is needed. once movie theater parking guy asked me park in the center stand i said i don't have then he said okay. even i feel having center stand is pain because it need effort to park final: i have mixed feeling about the front single suspension. I don't know in future do i get issue or what but front suspension is good. Every vehicle have some cons. but i feel happy about the pros.
Also note, the Ather 450X is the only scooter here that can actually fit a full face helmet in its boot. Been a 450X gen 2 owner for the past 8 months, the ownership experience (range and cramped ergos aside) has been amazing. Just a warning, though... Take your height very seriously as the ergos are almost brutal fro people over 5'10". And the brakes... Woah. They're sharp. You will miss the center stand.
Only wallet should be worried 😂😂😂 too overpriced Navigation costs u money still it lags too much Service plans charge If u want to use their app u have to pay Pay 1.6 lakhs for a scooter still pay more for using all its features
One thumbs-up from me, loved the details and all-round testing. You all did great and justified my 20mins of time pass :). I say that because I watched it for entertainment purposes, I don't have any plans to buy a scooter or a EV scooter
Ather is the winner for me. I prioritise a glitch free experience above everything else. Sorry, riding position/comfort will only matter if your scooter is running. 😅
I have been using Ola for the last 6 months and covered 6000 km. It is a completely glitch-free experience. I think the belt-driven motor from Ola is better than the Ather and TVS Iqube's hub motor.
I haven't even started watching the video but I just want to thank autocar India for this update on EV scooters. Yet, in my opinion we still have about 3-4 years until we get the epitomy of EV vehicles at dirt cheap prices. 🥰
This review was very realistic and comprehensive. I loved the fact that you actually came up with a verdict which I don't see in most of the comparison videos these days. Thanks for the effort.
Considering Ola Cabs non existent customer service, i have striked this scooter out of the list. They are a borderline fraudulent company. Love the quality on the chetak, might consider this one also for the subtle yet modern design. Want to support Ather though for being the torchbearer of the lot, and i want to support the company for its honest approach and the Make and Design in India initiative. Good to see my favourite 2 wheeler company win though. Go TVS!
OLA S1 Pro, Six month ownership. Its a great scooter in terms of handling, balance, speed and breaking. The big tyres, battery at the footboard, compiled with disk breaks gives a safer riding experiance. At this price point the features offered by OLA is way ahead of the competition. Personally experienced the after sales service, they are prompt. People remember the OLA issues during the March-April time. But there is a huge improvement in the software and also the hardware as well. OLA is still catching up with the people need and the improvements.
I bought the ather 4 days back n m in love with it. Driven it 200km n the only negative I feel is that it is quite expensive costing around 1.69 lakh on road in my city. Price under 1.5 lakh on road will b impressive and will attract thousands of new potential customers.
I have two Ola S1 Pro and noticed faced any issues until now. Just see a lot of hate on social media to to let Ola down. At the end of the day use it to feel it. Great scooter
I've only tried the Chetak while I was buying the Husqvarna. It's really good and I'd always choose Bajaj build quality over these new start ups that still need to sort their QC.
Been using Ather 450x 2nd gen for 5months 7k km clocked so far overall great experience so far also have a Access 125 as well confort wise it is not as comfortable as other i am 5'11 but seating position cant be said as cramped. At the initial time of buying was confused between Ola and Ather but lack of physical touch made me ditched Ola and now i think that was a good decision. If possible can Ola,Chetak and TVS owners share service schedule and experience. Mine got serviced at 5k and that was smooth
Fantastic video , really well explained , most doubts were clarified , however wished if you had talked a bit more about maintenence and service costs considering most of the scooters are more expensive than petrol counterparts.
For someone looking to buy an e-Scooter like me, this video is a blessing. Kudos to the Autocar team for such a detailed review on various categories. So many insights to consider. Very well done.
Owned Ather 450X Latest gen 3, 2 months back and whats a product by ather its perfect in indian conditions, handling is too good , and the quality of the fiber faring is impressive one of my frnd crashed from his ather on speed of 60-65 and fiber doesn't break just scratched on side .. buit and fit finish is very nice justify the price and quality of the product.
I'll choose ather 450x coz in our location we have experience centre so no service centre issue and there are life saving charging points for ather whereas it's rivals lack
The iQube and Chetak are also significantly quieter than the Ather. This is not something to be glossed over as the constant whine from the Ather gets very annoying with the already loud Indian cities we live in today.
I’m using Ather 450x gen3 for the last 1.5 years, I’m very much satisfied with the product. Done 16k kms and still at it best condition and consistent range. The only thing cons with Ather is service, it is quite annoying. And the spare parts are expensive compared to the others.
I had seen A Boy whose weight is more than Chetak was riding it ... He was almost 150 kg.. guy And riding it in traffic At No Struggle At All ... That's Bajaj Chetak✨🔥 The only best Scooter in Market r Ather🔥 , Chetak , IQube No doubt on them .. Ola is still fire🔥😂😂😂😂
Which EV should I buy? Daily Usage: Limited to 5 - 10km. Purpose: Mainly to run errands - like buying veggies etc. Area: My locality only - a township on the outskirts of a metro city with limited traffic and population.
Ola S1 Pro user..More than 9 month of experience..It blows the wind out of an ancient icube and shitty Chetak(selling old junk in modern day should be criminal..the brand's just don't want to evolve and want to sell stuff with standard shapes/features)..Nearest competitor is Only Ather..But it still lacks a lot of punch and range..
Surprisingly I cube 😂😂 hub motor performance degrades over time. Ola is always a value for money and more practical than any other scooter here. You can take out range whenever u want and u can take out performance as well whenever u want it's issue are almost vanished now people on twitter wants scooty faster it is full and not for complaints anymore. Great comparison I am watching this after purchasing ola S1 and thought it's a paid video and ola will get top position. Good you gave fair justification and ergonomics of ola and ather are not up to the mark.
I own ola S1 and happy with my decision. Infact, in my case ola customer care and service center are also very efficiently. 7.5k km already done hope it will run like this till 40k.
*For TVS IQube lovers* ♥️ all cheap ev scooter uses hub motor cuz its available at very cheap price , there a lot of disadvantages of hub moter Hero electric/ okinawa /okaya /emullete / benlling and many more cheap brands only use hub motor in their electric scooter
I am using kimzen scooter in the segment of petrol and battery technology. consistently its giving 350 km range..its will run both petrol and battery....most trusted scooter...
Wish you explained the spares and maintenance issues Ather & Ola has when they buy the scooters. That is a major part while buying but no reviewer tells that. Performance, ergonomics, stylings etc still can be compromised upto an extent if brand is good with service and maintenance part.
Ola S1 Pro at 1.4 lakhs on road Mumbai is a steal. Much cheaper than ather 450x at 1.58 lakhs on road. You get so much more with Ola S1 Pro for a far lower price. No reliability issues for me in 8 months of ownership. Only advantage ather has over ola is better handling.
This is the most comprehensive and accurate comparison videos between the electric scooters. You just missed one single point, which is the hub motor of the TVS, which are not very robust in the long run.
I'm surprised that considering years of experience in technology designing and building glitch free smartphones, the e-scooter business fails at designing and manufacturing solid bullet and rain proof software technologies.
Ola has trust issues. Bajaj has dished out an EV which doesn't look like an EV which is good. Problem is the high price with average technology. Ather is the best all round scooter but again it has the most uncomfortable riding position and horrible suspension. Time to look into these two major issues . TVS takes the cake just because of it's clever pricing and average looks combined with technology. The verdict is no matter which one you buy one shall miss something or the other in each one of these scooters.
Still I think EVs are way to go... Minimum we need 200 - 300km real world range for touring abilities... They don't even seen to be reliable... ICE until 2030...
I love that you chose a winner. The deplomatic verdicts were dragging you down.
I am using Bajaj chetak for last 9 months and done more than 7000 km. Constantly getting 95km in eco mode and 82 in sports mode. Best build quality. Very satisfying experience.
Finally man, someone who I trust posted this video. Kudos to autocar team.
Thanks
Chetak & iQUBE looks more like a traditional scooter than the others
I am using IQUBE since 1 year and completed 10000kms , extremely happy with the scooter , i own the old version where the claimed range was 75kms (i get around 85km) , only irritating thing is the aggressive regen and boot space which dosen't fit a full face helmet. performance is very good and its easily flickable in the city.
is it good for load
I mean i want to carry my business kind of things which is heavy... currently in using Activa 125 with no issues
In 5 months I completed 15 k kms with my Ola s1 pro happy but some issues but not that much range is almost 110 -120 in normal mode
The 2 finalists didn't surprise me at all. Nice job. 👏🏼👍🏼
Recently, I purchased Chetak.
It is amazing scooter.
So practical, premium and sturdy.
It's price looks quite expensive, but once purchased you'll realise, it is value for money.
Brought I-Qube for my Sister 8 months ago and she's still happy that makes me happy. Autocars pick of the lot is I-Qube that makes me happy again.
Using Iqube S for past two months.Only real drawback is unreliable turn by turn navigation. Although the biggest postive is mind-blowing suspension which absorbs potholes like champ. Believe me, the supreme ride quality is enough for most buyers who ride on poor day to day road conditions.

- speakers - i've added in pro because of sound quality and in nights 11pm I'm playing songs and i'm really enjoying .

cons:

Ather is still the worry free E-scooter to buy.
Definitely! It's a well very well engineered product. The growing Ather grid fast chargers in major cities is the cherry on top.
Only wallet should be worried 😂😂😂 too overpriced Navigation costs u money still it lags too much
Service plans charge
If u want to use their app u have to pay
Pay 1.6 lakhs for a scooter still pay more for using all its features
Ather sale started in 2018 but ather become hit in 2022. These years help ather to built best product out. But still over priced.
@@atiquetajir6225 its ok we have the money.

Bajaj chetak's design is just killer and the build quality is far superior. Metal body.
Above all things are good but chetak doesnot have any thing more
No range
Costliest
No feature
Build quality is not everything
@@harshalkarnewar1573 Also display and button layout is very weird for a scooter at that price range.

So true... Electric vehicles are just not there yet.
I've noticed that there are no Chinese products in this comparaison.
Chetak is 🤣
Ola is based out of China based product
Quite a lot of Chinese imports go into building these
@@chinmaypillay Ola is dutch based Etergo
All raw materials of chipsets as well as the ic are import from China,Taiwan and Vietnam.... Ramspace.
Ather will never disappoint you ❤️
Yeah but it will break your back for sure

lol. such a unreliable vehicle with bad platform
Owning Chetak past 1 year and believe me it's superb.
Using TVS iQube for last 3 months. I'm fully satisfied.
Iqube or iqube S ??

TVS engineering team is really cool, even with ICE engines they create good products.
Tvs has messed up with its iqube st launch timeline. With its high range, larger boot and touchscreen, it's the best option with fewer shortcomings.
The Ola S1 Pro is a Beast . Riding 70kms daily with hyper… with zero issues. #olascooter
I have two Ola S1 Pro and noticed faced any issues until now. Just see a lot of hate on social media to to let Ola down. At the end of the day use it to feel it. Great scooter

I driven iQube for 3100km .. No complaints.. Top speed is 88kmph & Range iam getting 105+
This video literally made my confusions disappear. Thank so much for such an incredible video.
The iQube and Chetak are also significantly quieter than the Ather. This is not something to be glossed over as the constant whine from the Ather gets very annoying with the already loud Indian cities we live in today.
This was the best comparison and review i could find... I did incline towards iqube but you put all my confusions away. Great comparison
Good comparision, I ll go for Ola S1 pro.
iQube is the jack of all trades, it is tech loaded and yet practical. Second is Chetak, which seriously needs an upgrade and a downgrade(in price).
Ather and TVS has the least Chinese comnponents. Good that they are also the best
TVS has improved a lot.
From manufacturing generators to Electric vehicles😂😂
TVS iqube is also a winner for me. But constant improvement is needed.
I’m using Ather 450x gen3 for the last 1.5 years, I’m very much satisfied with the product. Done 16k kms and still at it best condition and consistent range. The only thing cons with Ather is service, it is quite annoying. And the spare parts are expensive compared to the others.
Hats off dark horse TVS iquib.I will buy one.
I had seen A Boy whose weight is more than Chetak was riding it ... He was almost 150 kg.. guy

The only best Scooter in Market r Ather🔥 , Chetak , IQube No doubt on them ..
The basic model of the TVS i cube should be enough for you.
Not even looking at OLA while buying an EV. Would like to see Ather work on comfort and suspension.
Great comparison. The EV space is getting more interesting!
The most Incredible Reliable EV is Ather, Chetak , IQube is also good
What about safety in case the vehicle gets submerged partially or completely during flooding in rainy season?
Wow.. Out of nowhere IQube is declared winner.. Nice 👏 nicely explained Pros and Cons!
Best on TH-cam ♥️😍👍🔥🔥🔥
Already booked 3rd Ola in family.
Ola S1 Pro user..More than 9 month of experience..It blows the wind out of an ancient icube and shitty Chetak(selling old junk in modern day should be criminal..the brand's just don't want to evolve and want to sell stuff with standard shapes/features)..Nearest competitor is Only Ather..But it still lacks a lot of punch and range..
please... Also discuss about battery life & Battery replacement Cost... Bcoz We R Not Going To Buy New Pice Every Year...
Great explanation and hats off to your brainstorming part👍
Surprisingly I cube 😂😂 hub motor performance degrades over time.
Ola is always a value for money and more practical than any other scooter here. You can take out range whenever u want and u can take out performance as well whenever u want it's issue are almost vanished now people on twitter wants scooty faster it is full and not for complaints anymore.
They have improved and involved over time quiet rapidly. And move OS 3 is just a cherry 🍒 on cake.
I m personally using it for last 6 months without any issues.
Go for it blindly 👌👌👍👍
Never have I come across a comparison that is very detailed and left the viewers satisfied! 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
Omitting battery warranty and the cost that one might incur to replace it in the future is a glaring one
Tvs is always best like tvs 50 Victor shogun samurai apache ntroq and now icube. Best and stable brand
Ola is truly futuristic the way it's body designed and engineered , it looks too clean
35to 45kmph is also the top speed on the ola eco mode under 20Percent battery.
Still its the best
When the TVS turned off while moving, did it come to an abrupt half or did it continue rolling? Were the brakes operable?
Great comparison I am watching this after purchasing ola S1 and thought it's a paid video and ola will get top position. Good you gave fair justification and ergonomics of ola and ather are not up to the mark.
I own ola S1 and happy with my decision. Infact, in my case ola customer care and service center are also very efficiently.
7.5k km already done hope it will run like this till 40k.
*For TVS IQube lovers* ♥️
all cheap ev scooter uses hub motor cuz its available at very cheap price , there a lot of disadvantages of hub moter
Hero electric/ okinawa /okaya /emullete / benlling and many more cheap brands only use hub motor in their electric scooter
TVS iqube is trusted and battery chemistry lfp and AIS 156 certified.
I am using kimzen scooter in the segment of petrol and battery technology. consistently its giving 350 km range..its will run both petrol and battery....most trusted scooter...
Very detailed ,meticulous and unbiased review.thanks to Autocar team for bringing ground reality of products to people who want to buy EV scooter
Wish you explained the spares and maintenance issues Ather & Ola has when they buy the scooters. That is a major part while buying but no reviewer tells that.
Performance, ergonomics, stylings etc still can be compromised upto an extent if brand is good with service and maintenance part.
Superb comparison...
For me it was a eye opener
The much needed and the best comparison so far 👌🏽👌🏽👍🏽

OLA has done a great job with s1 pro.
I own Ola S1 Pro, It fits my use.
I hate the unskippable HDFC car loan ads.
I thought the Ather would be clear winner considering its reputation among auto journalists and the consumers.
Ola has trust issues. Bajaj has dished out an EV which doesn't look like an EV which is good. Problem is the high price with average technology.
Ather is the best all round scooter but again it has the most uncomfortable riding position and horrible suspension. Time to look into these two major issues .

Ola clear winner, run 10000 km smoothly,,,
Well Thought Out Pick ! It was a tough one
I read the article from your website for the same, was waiting for video
TVS iQube first choice followed closely by Chetak distant third Ather. Don’t want to consider wasting my money on OLA.
Chetak looks like a classic one and also expecting a good service from them, so for me Its bajaj
Nice comparison please add ola s1 in the next video.
Still I think EVs are way to go... Minimum we need 200 - 300km real world range for touring abilities... They don't even seen to be reliable... ICE until 2030...
