Any character skilled & powerful enough always tries to kill whoever he or she is fighting, while those that are less powerful & skilled are all on the defense. I love especially how Luke here is absolutely not kidding around & dragging anything out. If he sees an opening he goes for the kill immediately. Which is exactly what the real Luke Skywalker we all know & love & grew up with also would have done as Grand Master & if his student were under lethal attack like this. He'd kill swiftly to protect the people under his protection. If he could do it on Jabba's Sail Barge he sure as hell would do it here, just so much more skilled & experienced now. The best duels & lightsaber fights are always character driven! When any fight, especially a duel, literary moves the story forward & every swing, every kick, has a meaning & purpose you are a really good story teller! You nailed it, Mike! Impressive! Hello! I want to thank you for your wonderful fan films about Luke and his new Jedi Order. This film is my second, the first was "Shadows of Evil". It was a big surprise to me to discover that they were connected when I saw Luke's flashback about Mara Jade. This is the new parallel Star Wars universe, the one we deserve. This is the Luke Skywalker we deserve, the real Luke from the original trilogy - brave, merciful, kind, but tough when necessary. Also Mara Jade - is one of the best female characters in Star Wars along with Leia, Ahsoka, Sabine Wren and Hera Sundulla. Mara is a person with a difficult fate, a puppet who still serves her master, a woman who needs freedom of choice. I hope the timeline you created will continue to develop. May inspiration be with you.
Top notch story and choreography. Love the tie in to last year's film. Looking forward to where the story goes with Mara. Maybe conflict between Luke and Kyle over her fate? Great job Mike! I watched the sabercomp version but this one makes it 'pop'! Thanks for your hard work and dedication to Star Wars and the Art of the Lightsaber!
I like the changes. Better audio, added sound effects, cleaner dialogue, added shots for more context and letting the scene breathe here and there. It’s an improvement in film making that is exciting to see! On a personal note, as a fan of Luke and Mara, it’s great to see them interacting, and I look forward to seeing how your version of their story progresses moving forward. Thank you for sharing your talents with us!
Wow…this is just amazing! I thoroughly enjoyed this. With the acting, the effects, especially the choreography! All the work all of you put into this does not go unnoticed. You guys you definitely be proud of this one. Awesome job!!
This is what grind my gears about what Disney did. They could have easily had a Luke like this AND had their own Jedis in the same movie as good characters. Seriously how easy would it have been to make Rey and Finn students at his academy? How easy would it have been for Ben Solo to have fallen to the Dark Side of his volition without the bad dream garbage? But no what we got were a bunch of hacks who had the heads up their behinds deadset on destroying Luke and everythng we loved about Star Wars to please their own egos.
This is awesome!!! Man that one part where Luke was running on the bridge @ 4:16 reminded me so much of playing Star Wars Return Of The Jedi on Gameboy color back in the day. I used to love that game.
Omg this is amazing! R2-D2 looked great and I love the inclusion of Mara Jade! Soon Luke’s gonna marry her 😂. The duels were awesome who was the Sith Lord though? Is it a Legends character or a new character? And the Captain Rex name drop! You need a Rex costume to add into your episodes that’d be so awesome!
This was great. I am very happy to have stumbled across your channel in a stroke of blind luck. I love that your fight choreography itself tells the story.
This is some of the best choreo for lightsaber battles I've ever seen. There were little to no wasted movements and attacks actually appeared to be aiming for the opponent and not their blades.
This is epic. Fantastic chorography, great special effects. And an interesting story. Though I am slightly confused as why captain Rex would call Kyle, Kyle Kenobi. I also liked how you tied this in with on of your earlier videos. Keep up the amazing work.👍
Not saying anything new here, I know. But this was pretty darn good. Well done. I don't share the hate that a lot of people do for the Disney era, but there's no question that the passion of the fans continues to enrich this universe well beyond what the official stuff could ever do on its own. The Force was definitely with you on this one.
Disney should of handed over all their money and resources to you before they started the sequels. following Luke's story would of been a much better and exciting story. i care more about these young Jedi's after seeing them for 5 minutes then i did for most of the main characters in Disney's version. your light saber duels are very creative and interesting. just by showing the young Jedi deflecting laser bolts in slow mow was original. Great job!

@@RenegadeFilmForce Absolutely. Kyle Katarn, Desann - work the Tie Fighter and X-Wing games in somehow - get way over our heads and add in Thrawn and the Zahn books involving the stormtroopers. . . XD Would be neat.
What a well done short. Congrats to all those involved.
Thanks!
wow this is very incredible congratulations to all involved
🙌
Excellent work, this team is doing the fanbase very proud. Keep it up!
Best fan film when the girl blocking the blasters that was awesome
Amazing I can’t wait to see when Luke and Mara fight side by side as husband and wife
Bien hecho, emocionante. Sigan así. Forever Skywalker
Wow!….this was simply amazing! Great job…..I loved the slow mo light saber scene with the girl. Again, super great job 👍🏻😊💯
Thanks man! 🙌
So good Disney might go after you. Bravo & Props. The lightsaber slow mo blaster deflections shot was beautifully done. 🏆
Finally, the real Luke Skywalker has shown up. Great work man.
Proper Luke. Powerful, when needed...brutal, but always in control. What they did to him in the Devil Mouse trilogy is sad.
This man should be hired to making lightsaber choreographies in new Star Wars projects.
They would butcher him
Great Work !
May The Force Be With You !!
🙏😎👍🌴☀️🙏
Fan made Star Wars is SO much more Awesome than Disney. Keep them coming.
Disney & Lucasfilm gives us The Acolyte. Mikestarwalker gives us REAL SW! Long live the film makers within the SW fandom!
George needs to hire this group for his next movie and/or series.
4o1 that was awesome watch that part the greatest scene ever
Fantastic lightsaber battles!!
OMG !!! AMAZING CHOREOGRAPHIES, FANTASTIC DUELS !!! CONGRATS !!! WE WANT MORE!!!
This is a huge improvement over your previous duels. Good work 👍
Wow…this is just amazing! I thoroughly enjoyed this. With the acting, the effects, especially the choreography! All the work all of you put into this does not go unnoticed. You guys you definitely be proud of this one. Awesome job!!
5:33 Truly worthly of Legends Luke's ability and legacy.
Please, Please turn this into a full on fan film! I believe you guys should be funded for a true Legends fan film!
Series! That's what we're doing! Did you get to see the teaser for the extended cut linked in the endscreen at the end of this episode?
Nice Mara Jade and Kyle Katarn.
This is already better than the sequels
This is what grind my gears about what Disney did. They could have easily had a Luke like this AND had their own Jedis in the same movie as good characters. Seriously how easy would it have been to make Rey and Finn students at his academy? How easy would it have been for Ben Solo to have fallen to the Dark Side of his volition without the bad dream garbage?
But no what we got were a bunch of hacks who had the heads up their behinds deadset on destroying Luke and everythng we loved about Star Wars to please their own egos.
IKR?! And we're just getting started, just wait till ya see the bigger, final version of this and more episodes!
Great lightsaber choreography 👍🏾
Thanks for a very fantastic Fan Made It is so good to See Fans they understand the Lore of Star wars
Better lightsaber choreo than any of the sequals.
This was great. I am very happy to have stumbled across your channel in a stroke of blind luck. I love that your fight choreography itself tells the story.
This is some of the best choreo for lightsaber battles I've ever seen. There were little to no wasted movements and attacks actually appeared to be aiming for the opponent and not their blades.
kyle so loyal will listen to luke looks like can feel mara jade love here
THIS IS SO FREAKING COOL WE WANT A SEQUEL!
This is epic. Fantastic chorography, great special effects. And an interesting story. Though I am slightly confused as why captain Rex would call Kyle, Kyle Kenobi. I also liked how you tied this in with on of your earlier videos. Keep up the amazing work.👍
I could see Katarn reminding Rex of Kenobi, albeit rougher around the edges what with not being raised a Jedi and all
Not saying anything new here, I know. But this was pretty darn good. Well done. I don't share the hate that a lot of people do for the Disney era, but there's no question that the passion of the fans continues to enrich this universe well beyond what the official stuff could ever do on its own. The Force was definitely with you on this one.
These WERE the droids I was looking for! Nicely done. Thank you!
Great job!
I feel like this is best comment of the past week or so! Much appreciated by all of us involved!
The sound is key 🔑 in a sw film and this is probably the best sound design and editing in a fan film I’ve seen in years
THIS!! Is what “The Last Jedi” was supposed to be. Luke and Rey rebuilding the order, not the trainwreck we ended with.
Pretty much! Definitely not the nonsense we got in TLJ
DUDE! THE CHOREOGRAPHY OH MY LORD! ITS BEAUTIFUL! All jokes aside, the choreography in this was amazing and so interesting to watch. Thank you.
I know I'm a little late to the party, but this is amazing. I seriously miss having good Star wars.
Maybe the best light saber choreography and acting I’ve ever seen
The saber duel choreography in this is absolutely phenomenal. Great work! I’d love to see more in this story!
Haha the woman with purple lightsaber.
This was incredible. The sound and visual production was off the charts. Thanks to @mikestarwalker and the rest of the team for your time and effort in making this amazing video.
This would make a *GREAT SERIES!* 😎
This is only the beginning!!
So sick of every top comment on every to be frank basic fan film being 'BetTer ThAn DisNey!!"
But this was genuinely great.the actor for Luke has always really nailed the fighting style of luke. The luke vs mara duel was fantastic. Amd the slo mo of the padawan deflecting the bolts was really cool.
The little duel wielding fight was amazing! Love the speed! Great work!
