Still the only U7N review on yt
I just returned my TCL q7 yesterday for this tv and I’m pleased to say that it is definitely more premium and looks incredible for 800 dollars but I admittedly got it on sale for 599
You've got $800 TV's with WIFI 6E and Dolby Vision and the Samsung Q90D almost 3 times the price with neither....pretty embarrassing.
I was waiting for the Hisense U8N review..
Kudos for commenting on the on-board audio quality. Sadly, many reviewers skip that part. Cheers!
Thanks for the review! Does it have any oddities Like people have said about the u7k where settings were changing on their own?
waiting for U8N reviews.
I currently have a 55u8H and it's starting to get dim splotches through the middle of the TV... Anyway, we decided to go ahead and upgrade to the Hisense 65U7N today. It has everything last years U8 had, plus the 1,500 nits peak brightness and we are completely happy with how bright the U8H is that it should be better with all the new features of the 65U7N. Says we'll get it between Friday and Monday and I have both PS5 and an Xbox series X, along with a Denon AVR with all the 8k upgrades, VRR, ALLM, and 3 inputs for 120hz. So, I think I'm really ready for this TV to complete our living/gaming room. 🖖😎👍🍻
I had both about 75 u8k and 55 u8n now I don’t regret it at all ❤
Thank you for your video. Do you think the U7N will be good for normal PC productivity use (no gaming). I'm looking to buy a 55inch TV instead of a monitor and my use case is just reading documents, coding and watching videos. Does it have chroma 4:4:4 and RGB subsampling? Is the text being displayed clear?
Looking at this TV currently hopefully we get a drop in price during memorial Day. Do you know if it supports 1440p?
How are the viewing angles?
Is this the same as the Australian u7nau? Besides Australia using VIDAA instead of Google TV.
I picked up a 75 inch U7N. The colors are great but Im using a Roku and whenever i chose the HDR picture setting it starts showing flickering lines. I have to keep it on filmmaker mode to make it stop but using the google apps built in it doesnt do it. Hopefully they fix that glitch but overall im loving it. And also the speakers arent that great as people say they are. Definifely would add the soundbar to get a fuller audio.
Last year's was a winner hopefully more of the same if processing is better how could it fail at this price
U7K had the same number of dimming zones - 240 for 55" while the U8K for the same size had 672 (source - RTINGS). How much do you think the contrast and zone transition have improved YoY? Please make a side-by-side with these models which will tell us the full story.
U8K is still technically better. U8N will be a nice step up from U8K.
Great video kg.
I'd like to know how the U7N compares to the U8K at the same size if they are on sale for the same price, such as is the processing improved over last year?
Based on what he said the processing is better. He liked the way the auto dynamic contrast looked and found the hdr impactful. The motion had small issues, but hisense has improved every year with that.
processing is similar to the U8K and I think the U8K still edges it out due to a higher number of dimming zones so if you are buying right now at this moment if they are the same exact price.
Para tu experiencia, For your experience, do you recommend U7N or buying U8K? Thank you for your opinion.
i keep seeing mixed comments about the u8k still being better and i just bought this tv as my previous tv went out on me which was a cheaper samsung un50nu6900f.....
There weren't any u8k's in my area save for 1 open box floor model from best buy for about the same price as the u7n brand new (sale so got it for $599) and i am leery of open box models. The u8n was 800 bucks and out of my budget.
did i make a mistake? or is this still gonna be better then what i had. It's primary use would be for pc gaming.
I don’t think so you saved $200 stayed within your set budget and got a TV that’s a year newer and is be new unopened. U8K has more physical dimming zones but other than that they are pretty similar in specs should be about equal for PC.
U8K vs U7N. Any difference?
Are they making a 100 inch version?
Thank you for the informative video KG . However the contrast looks lacking and the colors bland compared to the U7K .
Have u tested the 55 inche u8N? Heard the banding and the posturization is really bad
I haven’t yet, I’ll be on the lookout for that is this specific to any mode?
versus tcl c755???
I know many people have asked already but right now i can purchase the u7n at $100 less than u8k. $599 vs $699. Is it still worth going for the u8k? Im looking at the 55" tvs
U8K is almost the same specs but it does have more dimming zones which will be better for dark room performance.
Thanks for the response! Yeah I'll probably go with that. Our living area doesn't get much light so that might be the way.
How is the upscaling of low bit rate content?
Its decent I haven't had too many complaints with it.
@@TechWithKG Thanks
Wow KG I must admit this Hisense TV looks damn good for the money. Any average consumer would be totally satisfied with a TV like this. Heck I would even buy one and think I would like it very much 1500 nits on a TV at this level is crazy. Plus this year it's Miniled..😊
Does anyone know how good the U6N tv is or if it is worth just getting the U7N?
Does U7N loses full array local dimming? Don't see any mention of that in its website. U7K has that..
Mini LED is a form of full array it didn’t lose it.
@@TechWithKG ah thanks for your reply. Keep up the good work sir.
Is it comparable to the QN85D?
It’s similar maybe slightly brighter, less perceived contrast as it has less dimming zones than QN85D
How come we don't have it that chep in uk and remote control is definite
It’s not the backlit remote?
Is this tv much better than the u7k? Should I buy the u7k to save some money or is the u7n a better tv to buy?
n=igher contrast and more nits, brighter!
wen we getting c4 vs g4 alot of us r waiting for that battle
C4 should be happening soon
@@TechWithKG would u say the the g4 is worth it over c4? especially sinxe the c series was always so close ro the g till now
@@giotorres9848 They haven't been close for a few years. The g1 and c1 were literally the same TV with firmware holding back the c1 (if you had an evo panel)
The g2 added a heatsink so it was noticeably brighter.
The g3 has a heatsink, MLA and deeper colors to help keep up with QD OLED
the g4 has everything the g3 has, plus the newest processor which is ONLY found in the g4
This year there is more a difference than ever before. The g4 is a legit step up and you're paying for real features that matter.
Best Buy is selling 55" model for $150 off. $649 price.
Just bought it on Amazon, they gave me the additional $100 off in a 50 dollar NBA gift card. I think it's a steal at $549
Just be cautious with the 55" U8N. Based Quantum TV & Caleb's reviews, it seems that the 55" is like tone down version compared to 65".
@@mianlo2624the 55 is pretty much the u8k renamed to u8n
Nice tv
I have the older U8H (132 dimming zones) and recently bought the U7k for $479. Let me tell you how disappointed I am from it. I figured on paper it was better but the picture doesn’t even come close. Now I’m going to return it this weekend and either get the U8k for $699 or wait for the new U8N to go on sale since the U7N is $150 off at $649.
When I compared both side by size the older U8H was far sharper and better color. The U7K looks soft kinda fuzzy and blacks are worse. I thought it be better because the more dimming zones it has but no it was far worse. Also it’s laggy.
Does anyone know if the U7k and U8k use different processors?
U8K & U7K both use MediaTek MT9618 Pentonic 700 SoC.
@@rannerrss is there any other reason why the U7k picture looks so much more fuzzy compared to the to my older U8G? It almost looks like it’s stuck on 1080p or something. I have fast internet and it’s hardwire but when I compare the two the older U8G looks so much more crisp and colors are so much better
@@b00b00 My PC is messed up so this will be one long paragraph. Be aware that the U8N isn't 1800 nits as claimed. It's still 1500 just like the U8K. It also has less dimming zones than before. It's 672 now compared to 1008 for the U8K. For your question, it could be just the algorithm of the U7K in the way it's tone mapping the content you're inputting so it may not have the depth of your U8G. Meaning it's highlighting the wrong spots too much and not highlighting the right spots enough. I know that the old QM8 and Q7 had OLED like presets out of the box on purpose. It wasn't that accurate, clipped whites and crushed blacks but gave it that Samsung WOW factor. By comparison the U8K has a softer but more accurate Sony look. So, the new TCL QM7, which is mini led now, may have that very defined out of the box picture that you want for the money. Hopefully the new PQ EOTF tracking is better. Supposedly it has the ATSC 3.0 tuner now, like the Hisense and is 10 bit color, unlike the Hisense which is still 8 bit+frc. I've read that people who had the U8H and bought the U8K said similar things you said about the U7K. Look up Quantum TV, he did a comparison of the U8G and U8N 55 inch. That might give you some idea of what to rule out.
@@Yoga_Tv_buyingthanks for the info! Any reason why the U7k is so laggy? Do they use the same processor as the U8k? My U8G was snappy even after these 3 years. The U7k is so laggy at responding it stutters then comes back
@@rannerrss update. I picked up the U8N and I’m happy again!
Is better than last year u8k or no and I’m talking about overall, not just local dimming zone that I know it has less but in terms of processing colors etc…?
U7N seems similar, I don't think its an improvement over the U8K they perform closely.
@@TechWithKG so if is close do you recommend buying the u7n instead? I just found one a couple dollars cheaper than the u8k, my concern is buying the u8k and then realize that the u7n was technically an u8k with better things, I really don't know what to do.
@@cl587 U8K is better because it has better dimming control with more dimming zones.
Review u8n 65
U7n or u8k?
U9N
Way different price bracket
Need to make tv under 55 inches for other markets rather than pandering to us market
International businesses cater to profit, not geography.
Dam. Spiderman looks ass on that
Seriously I was wondering wtf I was looking at
For Asian market specially India they will degrade the panel & No Google Os 😅
Did you actually say it “costed” you? 😮
Yes that’s correct
Looks good KG 🎉 Thanks for your effort in bringing us this Review 🤙🏾🤍
