Bro that car would be awesome if you would restore it, those cars were such sweet rides in their day! I'm a white brother but man that car would be slick if it had the original wheels and all original equipment paint, etc.
The best vid so far at removing the cluster. Need LED bulb product ideas, and total # of bulbs.( i see the sylvania LED 168/194 compatible bulbs) Speedo cable i read about in comment. Why not change em all?
I'm working on my '86 442 presently but have a question. How were you able to detached the speedometer cable from the back of the instrument cluster? I'm at the point where the cluster is basically already out (what you show in the video, but it doesn't want to come free and I'm pretty sure it's the speedo cable. Do I need to take apart the dash further or can that be done from the other side of the firewall? Thanks so much!
Also. My cutlass does not have the connections to install the floor lights on. So I pulled the connectors (orange and white) now I am needing to see where they mount up to as far as the stock location. Please let me know. I would appreciate the help. Tired of riding in my car at night with the whole inside dark. Only thing that lights up is the radio.
I used 194 bulbs. Mine already had floor mat lights wired in. Look for 194 harness or plugs on Amazon. Then wire the plug to the foot well lights/wires, gotta get creative with mounting.

The speedometer cable was previously removed when I purchased the car. There was no engine or trans.
