I saw myself in those text messages. I was the 11/12/13 year old girl talking to all the creepy guys. And I always thought I was mature because older guys wanted to talk to me. Leading up to me getting sexually abused for a few years by an older guy. People need to understand and see this for what it is. The awareness is so important to prevent it happening for other people.
I hope you found good therapy. I really feel badly for you. I am a retired psychiatrist and have helped many children repair their relationships with their imperfect parents. Many many humans are flawed; they have children but try to do their best. Many parents really love their children but need help; many children often don't understand their parents. I was able to make a difference. I really think good psychotherapy is helpful.
Back in the 80s I went to jail and prison for a non violent crime and I've personally seen how child molesters were treated in jail and prison. It was horrific and I'll never forget. Constant beatings by multiple people, as soon as they get food it's taken away , spit on by many people, I've seen a old guy in a wheelchair that was a pedo get his wheelchair flipped over with him in it and beaten across his face with leather belts. Back then the guards would tell a inmate who the child molesters were and the details of their crimes

I protected my sister when she was young. It was a constant thing and it shouldn’t of been my job, but my parents let us do whatever and go anywhere. Always check where your kids are going guys, even in their early 20’s check in and make sure you know who their friends are and if they go drinking not to let them stay over at a strangers house.

My abuser got a slap on the wrist after a decade of abuse and stockholm syndrome, until I got to be too old for him, but maybe you'll catch him, crossing my fingers. I assume your using an airbnb. The more experienced/smarter peds probably googled the address and saw it was an airbnb and not someone's home. You should always tell them your in an airbnb and that the mom works as a nurse or something as a way to explain why your travelling. Also it will make you feel a lot more at ease that you ain't leaving this property to be rented by other families with peds thinking that a child they want to kidnap lives there.
This is actually kinda brilliant, for a couple of reasons. 1) telling them you're only in town for a few days will create a sense of urgency, making them more inclined to follow through on their plans, and 2) give them a false sense of security, knowing the decoy is going to be leaving the area shortly, so they're less likely to report anything, and they're not going to be bumping into them in public after their meetup. I think they're way more likely to try following through if they're just given a reason for that factor.

My dad has seen a lot of crappy people around the world. He always taught me to trust my gut. He trusted his and banned my family to go to further reunions on my mom's side. She thought my dad was being ridiculous and said her cousin enjoyed playing with the kids (us). Turns out he was found with young boys in his basement. My extended family said "oh. He didn't mean it. It was a mistake! He will never do it again!" There was a 5 year old in that group of kids. It was horrible. Thank god fo my dad! When I was 16 i asked for a restroom and the manager showed me. The manager who went out of his way to get my family in his restaurant. He tried to get into the bathroom with me. A 50 year old man....trying to break into a bathroom with a 16 year old girl. I looked young for my age too. I could have passed for a 10 year old 😢 They are freaking out there people! Its scary AF.

I’m a 42 year old woman. The youngest age I was hit on by an adult man was 11. When I was 13-14 I was hit on by even more guys but at the time I thought I was mature. I didn’t want to see myself as a kid so didn’t raise complaint. I didn’t even recognise these men as predators. It’s disturbing that they take advantage of that… From experience, young girls really don’t know what they’re getting into. They’re extremely vulnerable because they want to be all grown up and they’re discovering themselves so they enjoy the compliments. It makes them feel grown up and it’s a confidence booster but that doesn’t mean they’re able to understand when they’re being preyed on by a monster like this. Unfortunately they aren’t new. In the 70s, when I was a kid being sexually assaulted, it wasn’t normal but it happened to EVERY single of my friends whether Adelaide, Sydney or Brisbane. We’d all experienced it, and we even (this is awful to say) laughed about it because we’d come up with ways to get out from under (that’s virtually literal). Some guys would go in the pool and show us their privates, ask us to touch them (& we’d do it. Why? Because they might just shut up til the next time). Some would rape us, or try to, some would demands bjs & we were 8, 10 or 15. I finally told my parents at 15 . Wished I had sooner because they believed me and dealt with one particular guy. I’m definitely scarred from it and at the time, the dreams, the sexualised play with my friends was terrible because I thought sex assault was actually normal! I thought everyone went thru it. Anyways, sorry to ramble on, sometimes it helps others to talk about that time period but yes, it’s bad now too. 😢

Maybe they didn't show up because once they had the address they googled it and saw that it was an Airbnb. They then realized something was up because it was essentially a hotel room for a short amount of time and wasn't actually a place where a family lived full-time.

As someone who talked to a bunch of pedos from age 11 to 18, I had so many men willing to fly me out and send me money! If there's a percentage of girls that will toy with them then there's a percentage that will let the guy do what he wants. Definitely not 100% that deny the guy or report every guy, but hearing a ratio of 1:8 men to little girl instances that happen and don't get reported is terrifying.
A pedo according to the DSM V is someone 16 and older. So you weren't dealing with 11, 12, 13, 14, and15 y.o predators. On the other side 13 to 16 is considered statutory grape. Under 12 is pedo. Read the DSM-V as it defines the age ranges for both victim and perpetrator.
As someone who had multiple older men attempt to groom me at 14-16 during the AIM/Yahoo chat room era, I can't finish this. I still remember one guy who harrassed me and told me he wanted to come take me away from my home, impregnante me, and make me be his wife when I was like 15 and he was 40. Many many humans are flawed; they have children but try to do their best. Many parents really love their children but need help; many children often don't understand their parents. I was able to make a difference. I really think good psychotherapy is helpful.

Back in the 80s I went to jail and prison for a non violent crime and I've personally seen how child molesters were treated in jail and prison. It was horrific and I'll never forget. Constant beatings by multiple people, as soon as they get food it's taken away , spit on by many people, I've seen a old guy in a wheelchair that was a pedo get his wheelchair flipped over with him in it and beaten across his face with leather belts. I assume your using an airbnb. The more experienced/smarter peds probably googled the address and saw it was an airbnb and not someone's home. You should always tell them your in an airbnb and that the mom works as a nurse or something as a way to explain why your travelling. Also it will make you feel a lot more at ease that you ain't leaving this property to be rented by other families with peds thinking that a child they want to kidnap lives there.

This is actually kinda brilliant, for a couple of reasons. 1) telling them you're only in town for a few days will create a sense of urgency, making them more inclined to follow through on their plans, and 2) give them a false sense of security, knowing the decoy is going to be leaving the area shortly, so they're less likely to report anything, and they're not going to be bumping into them in public after their meetup. I think they're way more likely to try following through if they're just given a reason for that factor.

My dad has seen a lot of crappy people around the world. He always taught me to trust my gut. He trusted his and banned my family to go to further reunions on my mom's side. She thought my dad was being ridiculous and said her cousin enjoyed playing with the kids (us). Turns out he was found with young boys in his basement. My extended family said "oh. He didn't mean it. It was a mistake! He will never do it again!" There was a 5 year old in that group of kids. It was horrible. Thank god fo my dad! When I was 16 i asked for a restroom and the manager showed me. The manager who went out of his way to get my family in his restaurant. He tried to get into the bathroom with me. A 50 year old man....trying to break into a bathroom with a 16 year old girl. I looked young for my age too. I could have passed for a 10 year old 😢

The thought of someone flaking but having the address is SCARY. It's usually an airbnb so that feels so dangerous for future renters......to have preds out there "knowing" a girl lives there who they want to attack.
One thing I noticed, was too many lights on in the house and all the curtains closed, next house use like blackout blinds and open curtains on some of the rooms not in use, also use a house with a backyard fenced

From experience, young girls really don’t know what they’re getting into. Unfortunately they aren’t new. In the 70s, when I was a kid being sexually assaulted, it wasn’t normal but it happened to EVERY single of my friends whether Adelaide, Sydney or Brisbane.
We’d all experienced it, and we even (this is awful to say) laughed about it because we’d come up with ways to get out from under (that’s virtually literal). Some guys would go in the pool and show us their privates, ask us to touch them (& we’d do it. Why? Because they might just shut up til the next time).
Some would rape us, or try to, some would demands bjs & we were 8, 10 or 15. I finally told my parents at 15 .
Wished I had sooner because they believed me and dealt with one particular guy. I’m definitely scarred from it and at the time, the dreams, the sexualised play with my friends was terrible because I thought sex assault was actually normal! I thought everyone went thru it.
Anyways, sorry to ramble on, sometimes it helps others to talk about that time period but yes, it’s bad now too. 😢

Maybe they didn't show up because once they had the address they googled it and saw that it was an Airbnb. They then realized something was up because it was essentially a hotel room for a short amount of time and wasn't actually a place where a family lived full-time.

A pedo according to the DSM V is someone 16 and older. So you weren't dealing with 11, 12, 13, 14, and15 y.o predators. On the other side 13 to 16 is considered statutory grape. Under 12 is pedo. Read the DSM-V as it defines the age ranges for both victim and perpetrator.

I still remember one guy who harrassed me and told me he wanted to come take me away from my home, impregnante me, and make me be his wife when I was like 15 and he was 40. @@coreym162 A 14 year old delaying her trip (which clearly is being organised by parents) makes no sense and even if it could somehow be possible, it creates the chance of parents showing up or asking questions etc. It was a pretty big mistake.

I feel you on this, I've talked to so many predators as a minor, and did so many fucked up things while talking to them. I've grown from that, and day by day these predators disgust me so much more.
As a mother of three kids and the way social media is apart of their lives, it's terrifying how careful and manipulative these creeps are. All I can do is teach my kids and watch their every move online but I believe in good ole STREET JUSTICE for these low life's. Thanks for exposing these losers, I love watching your stuff!

I could see it in her facial expression when one of the predators started being disgusting. It's like a sharp pain in your chest. At least as an adult you can deflect and make sense of it, but if you've been hurt before, it just takes you back to that exact moment. Like deer in headlights, hoping that if you don't move the monster won't hurt you. She is brave.

The only controversial issue I can see from this is some of the predator catch channels airbnb these houses. And they are giving that address out to these dangerous ass individuals. What happens if one night one of these guys builds up the courage to actually break in an abduct one of the decoys and it’s some innocent little family now using that airbnb? A number of things could result in the future from all of these guys having that address to a house they don’t even own. Just a thought. But good work I enjoy watching 🙏🏽
