I think you made a great decision about Glitter House. Life is too short to force yourself to work on something you don’t like.
I think the white walls allow your decorations and stitches to pop. Your fully finished items are exquisite! The gobble couple could be stitched separately and made into adorable stand ups.🦉🧵🐱
Love your ffos. It is so nice to get things completely finished and enjoy them. Glitter houses is great as is. There is just not enough time in a day to do something we are not enjoying in our hobbies. I really like all of the gobble couples. I do love quakers and these have a little fun thrown in.😊
I love your Glitter Houses. I always believe that you make the project just for you, so Glitter House is just fine with 6! Keep Cool!

Congratulations on your Glitter Houses finish!! And kudos to you for pulling the plug on that project. We cross stitch because we love the craft. Life is too short to make your craft time miserable. I love your fully finishes. I would be hanging them all over the house even though it's not winter. E Pluribus Unum is beautiful. I'm headed to Loveland for a girls cross stitch and knitting weekend. I worked at JoAnn's for 26 years and I finally retired and I use to get a 30% off too with my employee discount and it really helps a lot but now that I am retired I just get it for the sale price which is fine with me because now I have more time to stitch. Hi Carolyn! Tami did a beautiful job of FFO'ing your finishes! Don't work too hard...lol. I started decluttering last week (things that I didn't get to during Spring cleaning). I tackled the cabinets under the sink in the master bathroom. Awwww sorry that you and that fabric couldn't get along. It's beautiful with just the six houses. Happy Stitching!
Hi Carolyn: We just relaxed and had a quiet Fourth, 100 wowzer that is hot, you have been a busy lady, decluttering does feel good. I am a summer girl, here in Minnesota it gets cold very cold, your Bee pillow is lovely, the ornament finishes are beautiful, Cat Alphabet is a hoot, that looks like it will be very large when fully stitched.
Oh my 85 hours congratulations on the finish, I am going to do E Pluribus Unum, but I will have an even bottom, the uneven bottom is not for me, love Summer Montage, nice progress on the rose, lovely progress on Miniature marvels, love the Penguin needle holder.

You have a busy month ahead of you, I hope it cools off here in the NW, it’s been real hot here in Dallesport, unfortunately I’ve been sick with the flu but at least I’ve been inside where it’s nice and cool. I think I like Glitter House better with only 6 houses. I like the rectangle shape better than the square. The whole think is beautiful and I love the color combo. Hi Carolyn! I heard you about the heat. My bedroom also faces west and is upstairs so the central AC just couldn’t cool it up there. A friend who does HVAC for a living recommended a Mitsubishi unit. It’s not at all like the ugly ones that hung out of a window. This thing is small and they actually put it right at the ceiling in a wall. It’s completely out of the way. It has made our bedroom livable and can make it much cooler than we want! Alan loves it because it dropped our electric bill! Call any reputable AC company and get some info. It’s not expensive and you will thank yourself!

Halloween, 🎃 I enjoyed seeing all the things you’ve been working on.
I was in AZ last week and the temperature was 118. I'm glad to be back in NM where the temperature is in the lower 100's. I was outside last night with my dogs and it was 91, which I thought felt really nice after being in the higher temps.

I agree - low 70s is my compromise temperature - I would love even cooler than that! I would love to win the lottery someday and move to the coast!

Carolyn, I look forward to all your videos. We lived in Phoenix for many years, so I really sympathize with what you're going through with your heatwave. Now we live in southern Missouri and the summers aren't as long but they are awful. Hot and humid. Your FFO's from Tammy are just beautiful. I really love the Glitter Houses. They're just gorgeous but I don't blame you for not doing all 9. It' still a stunning piece!!

Have fun on your month off! I’ve had the Glitter House set for about 4 years now and I haven’t started it yet. At this point I don’t think I like the pastel colors on the houses, so I might just sell the set. I would love to stitch the Gobble Couple because my son’s birthday is St Patrick’s Day.

It's very hot here on the east coast. We had terrible lightening and thunderstorm and then the sky opened up. After that it was still hot. I like the cooler weather also.

Halloween gobble
I thought about stitching glitter houses but I wonder if it would be pretty on a blush pink fabric? Everyone who stitches it complains about the glittery fabric so I’m sure I would not like it ! I haven’t seen it on any other fabric though and I hate to invest in the patterns and not stitch them! ❤ love yours and I totally get why you stopped! Love your finishes too! Blessings always! Enjoy your painting , I’m on vaca at the end of July and will be painting our home also! Well I broke down and purchased the bat mirror from Joann’s (thanks Helen D) for a special Halloween project I just ordered too! I always have a spooky stitch going!

I applaud your decision to stop Glitter Houses. It looks great as is. If you use the day you decided to stop as your finish date, then it can count toward your 50 by 50. Just saying….😜
