The Voice! [ Coach Performance] - SINGER REACTS

- This is the coach’s (Ariana Grande, Kelly Clarkson, John Legend, Blake Shelton from The Voice performing a soul music medley & my reaction / analysis. This is great arrangement featuring a tight horn section, and I feel like a medley of two duets. Im loving the great belts/mixed belts and the powerful high notes from both the guys and the ladies. These songs are super bluesy and all their runs are minor. They are sooo many great licks here that every singer should know, that work in many minor/blues contexts like this song.
I am a jazz/R&B vocalist, baritone saxophone player, vocal coach and music educator. This is my reaction, breakdown and analysis. It is a joy to make these videos for y’all! Let me know what you wanna see next!!

Kelly Clarkson can sing anything. I love how she looked so excited to sing with Ariana Grande, a singer with who she can belt without restraint.

i havent read the comments so idk if u know already but the rasp on ariana is a stylistic choice! she has been using it more often. usually every era she switches up her singing style to experiment
It adds that maturity to her sound, her I think it was by choice it matches the personality of the song

Hi Erika. I thought this reaction was very informative and fun to watch. The tremendous amount of respect all the singers have for each other was so evident, they all seem to be having so much fun and sounded so good together. I liked how you used your musical background to include the musicians effect on the performance. I liked the "pink cowgirl/jumpsuit" outfit, Ariana has so much confidence in herself to pull it off. Looking forward to your singing soon.

Hey girl, the fact that u reacted to this video makes me so happy!! I love this performance!!! To be dead honest, no disrespect to Kelly whatsoever; I love her, and I only got more obsessed with her and her voice this season!!! However, I never watched a complete season before until Ariana joined the Voice. Hopefully this isn’t her first and only season she does. I love her relationship with Blake, and Kelly and Ari’s vocals together are unmatched!!! Overall, fantastic reaction!! I don’t think I even need to say it 💖🥰❤️😍😘
