I have been to that mall twice and eastleigh is really tranformed and clean too
Eastleigh was literally built by Somalis from the bottom up and they made it what its today. Congratulations to the Somali business people who invested in this place 👏 🙌 👌
But Kenyans must find a way to repatriate Somalis back to Somalia before they infest Kenyan Muslims with jihadism.

Born and bred in Eastleigh. That's my hood and I know it like the back of my hand. Moved out 10 years ago but I still visit my relatives. Eastleigh is a city on its own only if both the national and the county governments would do right by it by providing the requisite services like garbage collection, roads and sidewalks, adequate water and the residents have to endevour to keep their environment clean. The potential for Eastleigh is immeasurable.

I'm from Somalia 🇸🇴 and Kenya 🇰🇪 is our second home 🏡. Eastlee is a beautiful place but last time I visited in 2009, it was dert and unclean place but now it looks beautiful.

Garrisa is only a tiny portion of Kenya, not no damn half. A lot of the Somalis in eastleigh Nairobi are Somali refugees from Somalia. Kenya must avoid turning their Christian country into Al Sbabab country.

Great Video. I'm loving what I'm seeing. Eastleigh is a fantastic casestudy for community driven urban regeneration. I love that it's local business people who actually live in that community who have found a need to reinvest and improve. Bravo to Somali community of Eastleigh.

@@USSEIN_WAJEER Hello my friend. Please forgive me for my slow response. Yes I did in fact move to Mombasa. I'm in Nyali in the area known as "Mogadishu Estates.' The area is growing and it seems they are building new homes everyday. I actually spent a week in the hospital there back in March and the treatment was comparable to what I receive in the US. What I love about Mombasa is the year round great weather, Nov - April are the warmest months but even beyond that it's still bearable as far as heat. The cost of living is extremely low especially for a retiree from the US. Kenyans complain about rising prices but what they pay for goods and services now is what we were paying in the late 80s early 90s. There is a night life in Mombasa but it doesn't compare to the US if that's your thing. The people for the most part are extremely friendly, very respectful and helpful. Of course there are"bad apples" too but nothing like in the US. I think the biggest issue here is pickpocketing. There are plenty of shopping stores in Nyali along with fruit and vegetable stands on every corner. Please stay in touch and I'm going to provide you with a TH-cam video that was filmed in my EXACT neighborhood so you can see how it is developing. Take care and God bless ❤️🙏

Is it wrong for Somalis to invest in Eastleigh? There are so many ppl from upcountry who have settled at the coast, taken and controlled all resources at the coast and nobody has ever highlighted about it. But when other communities invest in NRB and other areas of upcountry, it is seen as if is a crime

This happens every time someone visits Nairobi/ Eastleigh and Addis Ababa/ Bole Micheal. But as Somali it shows me that we belongs to Somalia nowhere else even though we have regions in Kenya and Ethiopia
Don't forget that the Somali in Kenya alot of from N.Eastern. Many are actually local Citizens from Garrissa, lodwar, Wajir etc. Not only from Somalia but we are good neighbors.
