I Think the extension ram on the Passarelleus Erectus device had a right old kink in it. Possibly a bit of a swell while moored stern-to gave it quite a shunt . It usually takes a good bang to do that. Look a bit deeper than the ram, there could be some collateral damage further in. Ouch, expensive.
Glad to see you're back! I'm really warming up to the Fairlines...when I wake up a millionaire, one will be mine. I'm especially thankful for the costs breakdown and like how you sum things up on a per annum basis; too often I see things sold with a "low monthly cost!" (like subscription services - Netflix, etc.) and no one realizes the real yearly cost...showing the bottom line costs is great!
Always enjoy your videos. I give the socks a 2/10 and the Fairline a 8/10. Not a bad price for a boat of that size and quality. Although I wish it had a shout window. Oh well. Another great job! Thank you.
I've missed these blogs, have you stopped doing them weekly ? Great fun tour, very informative and very honest. You've been missed, the boat show was the last one I think.
i came across your channel and the fact that i benched watched almost all of them speaks volume on how good they are. I love the contents and the detailed reviews. However, i have noticed that the video exposure is to high that some of the clips aren't visible when there's sunshine, can you pls work on how to improve the exposure of the video. Anyway, i love your videos
Great tour and boat looks really good for a 13 year old boat that has been out in the weather. What is the fuel load on this particular model, in other words what range would you be looking at ?
We get a few US buyers. Shipping is about £30,000 and we need to change the voltage on the boat from 220v to 110v which varies in cost - sometimes we have to make changes for US coastguard regs too 🤩
James - I’ve asked Nick in the comment section but never got an answer. Why is the area at the stern of the boat called the “cockpit?”. Being a commercial pilot it is rather interesting to know. BR, Oliver
another gt and very interesting detailed video but could you please turn up your mic volume as your hard to hear thx i have pressed like anyway despite the low volume
Well.... if nothing else James, you've told us why these were only sold for 4 years. Everything broke. And.... doesn't that passerelle completely stuff the bathing platform....? There's a lesson here.... manual is best. :)
Nearly missed this thanks to the TH-cam 'unsubscribing' poltergeist! The 44GT has always been a favourite of mine, it always seemed so much larger than other boats of a similar size. I believe they actually made at least one that was not IPS - Is that correct? Only I seem to remember seeing one for sale circa 5 yrs ago without - Or am I drinking too much tequila and dreaming it up? Another great video James!!
They modified it as stern drive boat in the fall of 2009, to then remove the IPS option at the end of 2010 and produce it as a stern drive boat only till 2011. www.poweryachtblog.com/2009/10/improve-it-fairline-44-targa-gran.html
@@PowerYacht Brilliant, thank you, I was beginning to think my memory had failed me!!! Great boat.. saw one with a twin helm seat modification - that was the only piece that looked a little out of place, but otherwise, if life hadn't got in the way, circa 2013 , a Targa 44 would have been the next boat without a doubt!
why are the ice makers a waste of time? i don't see what you have against them as you keep repeating this, if they were a waste of time, space and energy then the boat designers and builders wouldn't bother installing them
Because they don’t use the boats 😊 ice makers have a high failure rate and the ice tastes awful as it uses the boats water tank. Buy a £2 ice bag from shop. Never goes wrong and tastes great 😊
Superb quality i agree. Are the open backed boats more popular than what i would think are more popular for the uk - boats with cockpit back doors ? And yes that paserelle ram did get a right whack at one point I'd say !

Another informative tour James of a Fairline Targa GT and for a boat of this age it's in tip top condition.
And thankfully you have those cloven hooves covered up😉😉
Good to see you back

Ah thank you - yes we are trying to fix it. Thanks for your nice comments . New video this Thursday !
Title: 'Why it was only made for 4 years.'
James: 'I have no idea why it was only made for 4 years.'
Another nice video.
Ha ha true - sorry 😂

250 nm 😊
magnifique , pure class - almost thought of down scaling from our Princess 94 umm lol😂
I love the fact that tech TH-cam channels make a big deal of using fancy camera equipment and you just crack on with an iPhone!
That’s all I have 😎
That big ironing board at the back will keep the women happy 😃
😂
😅
Are you Benny Hill?
@@nigelbrashaw Oi Oi u mean on the pill 💊!
Another perfekt Video👍 was that correct 100 l for both machines at 20 knots? 🙋🏻♂️🇦🇹
👍🏻
how much does it cost to get the paint chips done on the boat and can it be done thank you
Yes no problem- price varies but few hundred quid per chip/ area
@@Boatscouk thank you
Do you get many buyers from USA 🇺🇸? If so, how much to ship it, or even better could this boat make it across the Atlantic?

I don’t know either
If you could turn up the microphone that would be great can hardly hear you thanks for the video
Will do !
For the phone charging issue, you can buy the extra long cables on Amazon.

Yes they did make an out drive version for one year in 2011 I think - good boat too !
@@Boatscouk I think now, given the cost of IPS servicing, it would be the 'one to have' Was there much of a performance difference can you remember?
@@lovelifeloveboat very similar
Why is the sound so quiet....
Will try that
Thats a lot of boat for the money , about 100k more than I will have to spend though
Maybe one day🤞😀
Could you try turning on the microphone next time
It was on I promise 😊
How much for a boat survey before you buy it, including hauling out of the water. You might need this for a loan? Third party.
Yes upto £2k for boats under 60’
Thanks
One of these days. Sadly, not this year.
Diving board on the back
😂
give the lad a chance .. if he's fixing his broken car that's cause you're not paying him enough
True 😊
Theres no way i could ever afford a boat ,even if i won the lottery i would think twice and just rent for the week.
All boating is fun 🤩

I bet this boat was built and sold faster than he showed us the boat - WOW, spit it out! Sorry but not sorry!
😂 - Fairline’s take between 3 and 6 months to build (each) on average 😮

Glass backs did not come until 2010/11 ish 😊
2:45 Bad word selection day at the office😭 I immediately thought "yep JB I think the term you were looking for is elevation"🫡
