I've just purchased the S5IIX last week, along with this lens in L mount. The focal range and the fact that's 2.8 is gold for me. And it's like 30% lighter than the 35-150mm by Tamron & Samyang. I completed it with the 16-28 f2.8 by Sigma also - so total range 16-105, same aperture, only 2 lens ? That's great
Love focal length 24-105. But weight is important for me use 20-70(105 if using Clear image Zoom) it works for me about 90%. For low light have a small prime
True I don’t think this will be the great choice for go to lens. But the quality is like a beast although the focal length is so versatile. That doesn’t happen a lot
Please compare Sigma 24-70 II vs 28-105 in depth video....i can afford only one lens at the moment.....4 mm on the wider end is important for me but 35mm extra focal length is also tempting i am confused now.....
Can this lens do linear manual focus like “sigma2470 DG DN I” I know it can change in the lumix camera body But I can’t find any test on youtube shows how it performs in Sony’s body Love your video so much 👍👍👍👍
@@KenseiAkatsu codecs use key frames and compress several frames depending on the key frame, so you have one good frame with film grain and 5-10 frames with blochy mess and 1 good frame and mess, etc, of course if you have good bitrate it less obvious but youtube doesn't have good bitrate
Great setup for s5iix that side grip i like it and which lenses do you prefer for lumix s5iix looks like s5iix doesnt required a gimbal with that side grip
You’re very poetic with how you speak Kensei! Great video 🎉🎉🎉

Glad you are enjoying that combo!
I’m pretty sure the image quality is gold from them!

Is it focus by wire or linear focus (having a hard stop) when manual focus?

you’re so real for this!! literally what i’ve wanted to ask/say 🙏🏻
If you prioritize a wide angle, I think you might like 2470 better cuz you can zoom in at the post but you can’t widen the image
24-70 II all the way. Not only it is lighter and cheaper, it is also more versatile having the 24mm end.
I have just bought it for sony A7S3 and i like it !
fantastic
What are you using to achieve your "film look"? FilmConvert or Dehancer?
I color graded them from a scratch by myself

👍👍👍👍
Right!
Glad you liked the video!
Really !!!
If 28105 can do linear manual focus like 2470
I might replace my 2470 to 28105
Thank you for answering my question 🎉
did you really just add film grain and pushed it thru youtube compression? lol
Something wrong?

Can't beat the versatility of the focal range... just wish it's 24mm at the wide end and internal zooming.
That'd be the true monster...
Woah, is that an HHKB on the intro?
Yes it is!

Thanks, that setup is so good.
I recommend S series prime lenses and Sigma zoom lenses
@ thanks
i like to hear you talk.
Thanks!
Not wide enough
Can't agree more
For the price and weight, it is not as versatile as Tamron 35-150, Sony 24-105, or Sigma 24-70 II.
Like I said, you need to be ready for it when you use this lens
