Man this video makes me think again about how we live so long and yet only get to know so little. Each person shown in this video has a story to tell, each house houses multiple stories. Really makes me sad to know that I can only experience so little of this world, each person has a different story sometimes similar but always different. Thank you for this video
Wow your cinematography has improved more and more, the compositions, edits, color grading and sound design, all excellent, top tier quality. You're doing great man.
I just wanted to thank you for your wonderful videos. My wife and I are spending our honeymoon in Japan and it felt oddly familiar thanks to you. Some of the shots I have taken are definitely inspired by your own approach.
Felt exactly the same some days ago. Just left apsc as it was way underdelivering through my japanese trip in the night. Bought the Sigma 28-70 in Japan as the smallest normal zoom available and got a great deal on an A7IV, which I thought would be too big and heavy, but the grip is great and feels balanced with the lens... Love this new setup.
At the beginning of the video I was like "oofff, 21 minutes of video, that's too much" and at the end of the video I was like "Damn, this guy knows how to keep the viewer's attention". Thanks for this wonderful video and for your style, it's so interesting and the same time it's not hard to understand. I'm also happy for your new sponsor :) About the lens, well, it's a very good one, it's compact, light, and fit amazing on the A7C. BUT... as you teach us, it's not in your style, this is an amazing lens for travellers and for some photographers but not for you. You teach us that also cheap lens can gave amazing results IF the photographer knows how to use it and how to compose a picture so yes, sell this lens and keep going with your style
Your videos have always been interesting but theyre growing in me more and more recently. I rrally like how you include details like the ice cream shop, and not just photography.
Didn't realize Onomichi had such a Ghibli vibe. I had the opportunity to visit it last year (I stayed at the island in front, Mukaishima) and somehow didn't notice it. Thanks for sharing it. Love the morning photos, they present an atmosphere of solitude I like very much. Great work as always Adrien 👏👏👏
Thank you for always sharing such amazing scenes from Japan! I haven’t been to the Seto Inland Sea (瀬戸内海, Seto Nai Kai)since I was a kid, so watching this brought back a lot of memories. I’m based in Tokyo now, running a POV street photography channel, and just like you, I hope to create photos and videos that resonate with people someday. Thanks for the inspiration!
Oh nice. That frosted glass flower shot is fantastic. This was from the other day when we met at the station, no? I was just getting back from cycling the shimanami kaido. I recommend if you've not tried it yet, but maybe not during the never-ending summer. There are some great little spots for photos throughout, plus it was a fun creative challenge documenting the journey. I know that they probably would never make something like it, but a 40-135 would be ideal. If they could make it compact/collapsable like the 28-60 and like f4-6.3 I'd be very happy. 😎
Yes that was right after we met! I did the Shimanami Kaiso twice actually and it led me to meet the one who became my wife so I love it haha. I haven’t done it with a more photography approach but I’d love to do it again and document that.
Hi Adrien, I'm just discovering your channel. Very nice and inspiring. Japan is surely one of the most photographic place I have been. You make me want to go back there ! Thank you for this amazing video.
Hey Adrien👋! Thanks a lot for the relaxed video and a lot of nice shots! I bought a used a7cII a couple of weeks ago and I opted for the 24-50 G lens from Sony because personally I rarely use a longer focal length than 50mm … and sometimes it’s just nice to have f2.8😇. I really like the lens for its versatility and not too big size on the a7cII. But your 28-70 looks very promising, too👍.
The 24-50 is better built and weather sealed but these are not must have features for me. I would love to try it one day but just don’t want to spend money on a loan or buying a copy 😅
Hello ! I'm not surprised that you've fallen in love with these compact and well build lenses. A very great combo with the A7CII ! In my case i've decided to stop using the 24-70 lenses because most of the time it's too short for my usage and also... because i discovered the 35-150 F2-2.8 lenses from TAMRON (Samyang had it too, if you prefer this brand). Don't hesitate if you have the oportunity to try it ! It's maybe heavier than other lenses but its versatility is amazing.
The video is so calming and Japan is so beautiful! I was thinking about to buy this lens. Sigma's lenses are incredible. Right now I am using the 28-75 from Tamron and its also pretty cool! :) Greetings from Germany!
I love my 24-70 GM 1.0 but that weight and size on my a7cii makes it a serious commitment. because of it's size, it usually it lives on my Fx3 (Unless I'm taking a specific shot like studio head shots, I leave that thing at home.
Adrien, thanks for the inspiring photo journey with you, useful tips and descriptions of what's move you to capture this or those moments on the streets. Together with the music, you created a special atmosphere of the walk that immediately transferred me to that beautiful place. Your story for 20 min is quite enough to imagine and have a nice feeling of the streetscape, got some tips, and do not tired to switch the channel. :) Great job! Special thanks for introducing into the Squarespace. I just was searching for the platform for myself. One small question: why it's better than Darkroom? :)
Hi, friend! I mostly create hunting content and only appear in a few of my videos. I’ve bought a ZV-E10 Mark II camera for the first time. Can you suggest a lens that’s good for both video and photo, especially for sharp video quality?
Love it! Ive been feeling the same, I don't really like the 24mm look. But im in LOVE with the 28mm. And though my Sigma g1 has 28mm in its range, its different when you can zoom out and im at my fav focal length. Its also so big and heavy, for video, Id prefer a smaller zoom lens too. But why no love for Tamron? For photography, my Tamron 35-150 is by far my favorite lens, ever. What about the Tamron 28-75 G2? Im interested in that one, also cause the zoom on Sigma is turns in the opposite direction, from Tamron and Sony. Throws me off lol
Loving Sigma image Rendering! I own the 2470 Art II, 35/2 and 45/2.8 from Sigma, they are sooo nice to handle. And do you mind sharing the address of the ice cream place at 7:34 ?
This is like asking which fast food do you recommand. . Everyone shoot different and has own habits or prefered focal length.. you can bring 24 35 50 85 135 300 or even 400 or 600.
Weirdly I've been thinking of doing something similar, thinking of trading in the 24-70 MK1 art, and tamron 17-28 to go for the sigma 16-28 and 28-70 contemporary lenses
It's the opposite of the Sigma 28-70 DN in a couple of ways. f/4, sharp at mfd and wide open, 20mm, not very nice bokeh unless at mfd and wide open; vs the Sigma which has rather nice bokeh overall, a softer kind of rendering, especially close up, 28mm and one stop faster. I like shooting things near mfd (with sharpness where the focus plane is) and after having seldom used the 20/1,8 for other things than closeups I acquired the 20-70/4.
Hey Adrien, my name is Johnny and I'm a freelance logo designer, would you love to have a logo for your channel to help your branding to be more memorable and easier for your audience to know where to look for you, and potentially also custom membership badges, wallpaper and app icons packs and any kind of artworks to help scale up your business opportunities? Let me know if you interested and I would love to craft them for you! :-)

Whoa!! Congrats on the Squarespace sponsorship 😮 it’s been so cool to watch your channel grow as you continue to share beautiful and unique work
Thanks!! I put the efforts but it is also thanks to people like you who keep coming back when I post new videos :)
Wow your cinematography has improved more and more, the compositions, edits, color grading and sound design, all excellent, top tier quality. You're doing great man.
Thanks a ton! Keeps me motivated to keep getting better gradually:)
I've been using the same Sigma for the past four years and love it. It stays on my camera 95% of the time.
It’s a great one!
I just wanted to thank you for your wonderful videos. My wife and I are spending our honeymoon in Japan and it felt oddly familiar thanks to you. Some of the shots I have taken are definitely inspired by your own approach.
That is awesome! I hope you are having a great time :)
No more 24-70mm -> I went on the other end and I switched to the 20-70mm F4 from Sony. Any option is good as long as it works for you. Great video
That's a good one too. I still wanted the f2.8 just in case but this one or the 24-70 f4 Zeiss is also great I guess
Finally came to japan and tried so many new ideas thanks to your work. I love it so far thank you Adrien
Glad you are having fun and happy to inspire you :)

Sorry to make it so dramatic in the title ^^'

I absolutely love how japan looks and how you documented it, beautiful video

Sony made the FE 28-60mm F4-5.6!!!!! And it's almost pancake like
It's always nice to see you post! Always fuels my obsession with photography

Man, this video inspired me to swap my 24-70 to the 28-70 Sigma. Loving my decision so far
you make the best street photography tutorials on yt💥✊🏽

love love love your footage and simple walk-around style videos, inspires me to make content similar to yours! lovely video 🎉

Thanks for your comment :) The Tamron is also a decent lens, you would not really see a huge difference going for the Sigma
Yes it is a great lense not only for the price. The only thing I miss is weather sealing.
Dude I love your videos pls keep going
I have no intention to stop ;)
Amazing work!
Actually, this is the first time to leave a comment on your video, but I always enjoy all of your wonderful content!

Hi Adrien curious as you've owned both a7IV and the a7CII, which one you have enjoyed shooting more? I love your work, keep up the great work!
Cool stuff, I keep my Sigma 24-105 for these types of days.
Good choice!
Another beautiful video mate, you’re making want to book another flight over 😅
Hahaha go for it ;)
I feel as Sony colors are really really good
Agree 👍🏻

たびたびコメント失礼します。
いろいろなレンズで撮られていますが、a7ciiで1番おすすめのズームレンズと単焦点レンズは何ですか?
What camera do you use to film the POV parts?
The osmo pocket 3 ;)
@@adriensanguinetti thank you! The quality is exceptional! Thank you for your videos, thoroughly enjoying your content!
tyvm for the video!
No problem!
Right now, the sigma art 24-70 in all I have
What camera do you use when you're taking a photo at the same time?
The osmo pocket 3 ;)
Sacrificing 4mm at the wide-end for a massive weight cut. I'd say it's a win.
Some people really can’t get over it but I don’t mind 28mm being the widest 👍🏻
@@adriensanguinetti yes! I’m calling 28mm The Tolerable-Wide. Anything above that is a no-no.
Great if you don't have a family to fit in the frame and you have all the space in the world
Love your videos! What camera strap were you using?
A home made one with a shoe lace 😂
Loving Sigma image Rendering! I own the 2470 Art II, 35/2 and 45/2.8 from Sigma, they are sooo nice to handle.
And do you mind sharing the address of the ice cream place at 7:34 ?
このレンズは動画の手ぶれ補正はどう感じますか?
ボディーの手ぶれ補正があれば大丈夫だと思います👌🏻

HELLO ADRIEN MY FRIEND! What prime lens do you recommend for a trip in Japan? Also, I LOVE YOU!
This is like asking which fast food do you recommand. . Everyone shoot different and has own habits or prefered focal length.. you can bring 24 35 50 85 135 300 or even 400 or 600.
A good old 35mm or if it is too wide for you a 50mm 👍🏻
May i know the camera you use in this video as your pov?
Dji pocket 3 20mm lens
Weirdly I've been thinking of doing something similar, thinking of trading in the 24-70 MK1 art, and tamron 17-28 to go for the sigma 16-28 and 28-70 contemporary lenses
That 24-70 mk1 is a brick 😂 I recommend doing the trade
12:36 wow
Beautiful compositions. What’s the name of the place at 17:29. Thanks
Thanks! It’s the Senko ji
Can you make capture one styles? :) Si Vous plait!
Sony a7cii or eos r6ii which one should I buy?
I have never used a Canon so I can't tell but the Sony a7cii is great, the lens line up is huge. Highly recommend
What about the Sony Zeiss 24-70 f/4?
Great option too but I wanted to have the 2.8
Check out the Sony 20mm-70mm f4 G lens. Lightweight, compact and very sharp. One the newer lenses from Sony.
Should look into that 👀
I own this too. Great for travel. I also own a 40mm G for the night time!
@@vinaynair1911 Lol I own the 40mm f2.5 G lens as well. Those are the only two lenses I now own.
@@adriensanguinetti You won't regret it. I tried pretty much all the lenses within that class and the 20-70 was my favorite.

Can you do a tutorial on this color?
What is the location at 7:10?
Ohhhh where is your FUJI ?
The Tamron is amazing. You are losing.
I don't know about the newer ones but I had a copy of the first 28-75 and it was quite bad on the long end ^^'
