Can I just say that this is beautiful, I’m an Entp with diagnosed add, and growing up I used to think I was introverted still do sometimes but at some point I started asking other people on their views about me, and they never mentioned introvert, and usually say I’m too impulsive and if I was going for a career, I should go for something that allows me to explore and not “sit still” and so on… then I realised I was just really fooling myself and I should accept myself for who I am!! So if you’re out here and wondering and second guessing 😂 don’t worry I’m pretty sure we’re all on the same boat
Had the same story, I thought that I was introverted till I was 18/19, but It was only because I couldn't find right people to connect with, after meeting similar people I opened up a lot, now it got to a point that many conversations with random people are just boring, I have all answers before people finish formulating their sentence sometimes it gets really boring waiting for slow people to finish I always had this feeling that something was wrong with me because others didn't really understood deep meaning behind things I say. When you find people like you life becomes really beautiful, because no one wants to do stuff alone, I forgot already what was my point, but always keep pushing forward and don't lose the momentum bruv
Hahah cos same 😊 I was a geek at school yet no one perceived me as such because I was going out and engaging socially, but in my head I was a cat lady 😂
Yeah I thought I was an intp when I was in highschool because I went through a long period of social isolation. The term ambivert fits me perfectly. My family and friends see me as more extroverted, but in my mind extroverts are supposed to have heaps of friends and feel totally comfortable in social situations. Which I don't experience🤣. I have absolutely no idea how to build friendships with people. I can talk to basically anyone and I genuinely find people interesting, but relationship building is not my strong suite lmao.
I am curious on the prevalence of people with ENTP and ADHD. I always thought that I was introverted and more feeling type, but after I found out that I have ADHD or rather ADD and got diagnosed with it, that's when I actually discovered my true personality aswell, which is ENTP. Now, looking at these traits in the video, a lot of them are also symptoms of ADHD. After I got diagnosed, I started to learn how I function and how I am as a person in general, that when my depression faded away (hence no more introversion) and I noticed that I am much more extroverted than I had led myself to believe, I also started to gain more confidence and self assurance which helped me to surface my true personality. Right now, I feel like I have discovered myself and I am so excited to get to know myself all over again.
This is mad funny because I'm an entp that got "diagnosed" with ADD as a kid, and slowly went from being extremely extroverted to mostly introverted. By "diagnosed" I mean my parents told my doc I couldn't sit still in class and he wrote a prescription on the spot. I'm pretty sure I never had ADD and was just procrastinating/bored a lot and after 10 years of amphetamines (adderall) I just wish I'd never been treated in the first place
@@ohsoverytired5635 That is really interesting. I got recently diagnosed, like a little over half a year ago, and I am 24 years old now. I have just started using Ritalin, as I feel I need help with studying. I have had ADD my whole life, I was more energetic before I got bullied, then I became less and less energetic and more introverted. I was always afraid to be my true self, because then I would get bullied and ignored by everyone. So, I started to try to fit it anywhere I could, tried to constantly alter my personality to be liked, and it never worked I was just awkward. So, it's not before recently, and especially after I got to know that I have ADHD, that I started to get to know my real self, a lot of lightbulbs went off and some things just make sense now, and I have accepted that, and now things just seem to go more naturally.
@@viliusv3943 It's good that Ritalin helps you, and Adderall does the same for me. What I've grown to hate is that when I wake up I feel like I can't do anything until the Adderall kicks in, I can't focus on anything and feel utterly exhausted. I've come to understand that dopamine (both Adderall and Ritalin increase dopamine levels,) is the literal chemical for motivation, and being able to take a drug that increases motivation is great, but feeling useless without it sucks.
I have the same story as you I thought I was introverted with an adh like I was in my bubble but when I am well I am extroverted, I thought I was "basic enfp but doing several tests I came across this one

Okay... so I'm usually a lurker reading comments and I never post or comment on anything. I'm EXTREMELY shy on the internet, but I had to say something... I only just started to get into this MBTI stuff because I always viewed it as being too similar to horoscopes and not worth my time, but I seriously spent all day yesterday researching it instead of working and got ENTP in 3 of the 4 tests I took. Also managed to get a tie for ENTP and ENFP with INFJ coming in as a close third 😂 Here I am saying maybe I am an ENTP because I am somehow still sitting here debating if I am an ENTP, but the person I am NOW also doesn't exhibit some of the behaviors in the video. I was an executive assistant for 10 years so my organizational skills are pretty top notch although I choose not to employ them in my own personal life all too much. I am typically slow and methodical in my responses - not very quick-witted. Lastly, although I am the type to be blunt and debate well, I DISLIKE engaging in debates and arguments because they trigger my emotions. Maybe my child and teen self was closer to being an ENTP because I definitely challenged authority, had lots of disjointed ideas, and procrastinated often, but me now...? Not so sure, especially when I factor in major depression and ptsd. I don't think I'm special at all, but the mental health professionals I've spoken to even have a hard time categorizing me. Any suggestions on how I might be able to figure out what I actually am? 😅
@@PsychologyRefresh They consider me as too blunt and hard to manipulate. I'm not a people pleaser at any circumstance. And I always get what I want, so perhaps they know I'm too much to handle. 🤣🤣🤣

This describes me ALOT,but as an Entp and a cancer,it kinda effects,I am really mean, but sometimes I feel bad, although what I see from other Entps that they barely feel bad, wow, things like this could effect so much!
Case in point on underestimating emotional behaviour: before the war in Ukraine erupted into its current state, I gave the chance of the current escalation a very low estimate, banking on Putin making rational decisions from the position of a ruthless but overall self serving leader who wants to play all sides and further his own position via remaining independent. What I failed to adequately encompass in my analysis was the potential of the former director of the secret service who saw his old regime crumble while working as a KGB agent in the GDR at that time to develop to develop a sense of paranoia. In other words, I assumed that Putin would not make an obvious mistake that was exactly that to me after a few months of research and yet, he ultimately did because to him, his own irrational fear of his own people had not only weakened his intelligence operations to the point where he willingly gave the ok to a completely insane invasion attempt ( in spring, the worst time for anyone who ever just opened google and looked up WW2 in the region ) but also opened up this invasion as a serious solution in his mind in the first place that to me was never an option from his perspective. I still think he is clever but I clearly overestimated him by downplaying his own emotionality and the impact this would have on his decisions.
The first two are icking me… cause it’s weird to see myself as these things, like I love it when someone says it to me but idk maybe that says something
I am questioning whether I am entp or istp (i know lol) but interestingly concerning nr 6 I find it highly illogical to not consider emotions as a factor. Not in the empathic kinda way but as in considering human actions, trying to predict or counter them without considering emotional behaviour is ignoring half of the equation and not efficient. I dont need to understand or empathise to understand it happening and considering whether the argument made still stands. People can argue emotionally but still make sense logically even if it sounds less so.
You could take an ennegram test! Often ennegrams explain certain traits that usually don't come up with just the mbti For example, I'm an Entp 8w7! Entp 8w7 are usually more determined, unlike just Entp, and I relate to this a lot!
I doubt that, ive meet 2 entp's whose very good in manipulating others. They are very very good manipulators and install the crooked ideas to people around them about other people.
As an ENTP I agree. However it's more like of an individual temperament or his/her on going circumstances. If you ask me if I deceive people, then yes, however what all matters for me is the end. The end should satisfy everyone or at least the majority. The end justifies the mean. Manipulation itself is neither immoral nor moral, but it's amoral.
