Gracias por este análisis impecable, tenia dudas sobre el ancho de asas, pero al escuchar que es 22mm me alegró el día, voy a comprar uno gracias a tu excelente reseña. saludos.
Just ordered the white dial version and a purple nato strap to go with it just for fun, Might be the start of an Orient collection for me with so many nice automatics in my price range...
I like Orient. But it's kind of upsetting that their Orient Star line doesn't offer anything comparable. I love the simplicity of the dial, and the design is very nice. Their higher end watches have dials that are too busy. Maybe it's intentional. Maybe Seiko doesn't want them to compete with their SARX line. Imagine this watch, but with Orient Star quality.
I almost feel as this is the Orient version of the Tissot Gentleman, when you compare it to its size, dial layout, and overall wearability in a multitude of circumstances.
I've had this watch blue dial viersion as my first mechanical watch, absolutely loved the dial, unfortunately my wrist isn't big enough to match this beauty, i've gave it to my dad, I think he love it (it's his first mechanical watch as well).
I've got a Seiko and always wondered how Orient is compared to Seiko. They are both in house movement, but which is more accurate? Is it really worth buying Orient for what it is or should it better to save up for Seiko?
I have several Seikos and a couple Orients. Orients are sort of like the Seiko of old in terms of providing value for money and many affordable entry points into mechanical watches. The Bambino line is an affordable dress watch. The Mako, Ray, Kamasu and others are affordable divers. Seiko has obviously been moving a bit more upmarket with its watches, while Orient is staying where it is. They are sister companies under Seiko-Epson, though my understanding is they operate independently.
After watching this, I bought the blue dial version of this as my first watch. I looked for the green dial but it seems no one import this version yet. The blue looks very nice in person, however it looks more shouty compared to the more subtle white dial featured here. I still like it, though. And it seems like will works nicely for daily wear. In my country it cost around $150 but I got mine discounted around $120.
I was going to book a call but I really only had one question... about the Maurice Lacroix Aikon 39mm. Having seen this watch in person, do you think it would go with a more business casual outfit? I’d love to hear your opinion. Thanks.
Given that it strongly resembles the high horology sports watches, I typically find it follows a similar standard as those. The watch is very versatile like those and I think is suitable in both casual attire as well as somewhat formal business attire. If you are wearing a suit every day I would look elsewhere, but if it is just a simple dress shirt to work and or a blazer than you should have no problem pairing it.
Same. I feel that almost all of them would be so much better and more versatile if they were 2mm smaller, especially the Bambino. The Bambino has SO MANY different versions and colorways but they're just too large and end up looking like a sporty "dress" watch and with my small wrists, it just doesnt make sense. Make a 38mm Maestro or Bambino small seconds and I swear I would swoop them up this second.
It's not scratch proof but pretty doggone close: the Citizen Promaster Tough. If you decide to get it, I suggest you do it soon. The one version I like which is the non-dive watch looking piece has been discontinued. It is a heavy watch, but it is made with stainless steel that has a titanium coating and has sapphire crystal protecting the dial. Overall very difficult to scratch and, IMHO, damned fine looking too.
Simple, clean lines. Looks like a classic everyman's watch, refreshed.
Great watch. Maybe start showing them on some of your straps so we have a better idea of what to pair it with.
I can do that!
That a great idea!
I was trying to picture it with a black leather strap 😉

For people who can't afford a TIssot Gentleman or a Rolex Date Just, this could be a decent alternative.
Lume is not enough in the dark light condition, I purchased this watch today from Spain, overall nice watch

That is a nice parallel I think

what is your wrist size? I think I might face the same problems as you. Big dealbreaker if it's gonna look too big
@@StepsTowardPower 6.5inch . Something about that watch just look oversized on my wrist.
Nice watch! Keep it up teddy!

Orient is actually better I'm some ways. I know their cheaper dive watches are better than the SKX.
I also have Orient watches and Seikos, which means, once you have your Seiko you will still want to have an Orient and vice-versa. 😉
I ordered this watch, next week I will receive ❤

Seems like a Maestro with added day function + lume = win
Very elegant watch and good review
I am simple man, I see a notification from Teddy, I click!
Appreciate it buddy.

For sure. Just a shirt, tie and some slacks, no blazer. Thanks again.
Great video, would this model match up with a Strapcode curved end bracelet?
I wouldn't be able to confirm that as I don't own one of the bracelets. Sorry William
Any progress with the Strapcode bracelet William?
Что по поводу хорошего браслета
Everytime orient releases a new watch i get disappointed with the case size

I can’t remove to adjust link for this Orient
Пожалуйста посоветуйте на эти часы хороший литой браслет
Does anyone know a watch that's scratch proof that I can buy.
Ceramic watches
