Many thanks for the in depth video and multitude of watches covered! I know your channel is working as is, but please consider slowing down your speech delivery, and maybe having 2 videos? for this amount of covers? :) I'd also love to hear you talk about the Quartz/Mechanical movements used. It seems so easy to pay £200 more for a watch with the same movement as an 'aliexpress' one. Are we really getting +£150 of better case and bracelet quality?? Anyway, thanks for your time, and I hope I gave some constructive feedback. (Yes, no hate trolling here).
I love my Ray raven. I just got the Mako 40 in white. Love both watches. They wear very well due to the smaller dimensions. But best thing about them is the value. The quality far exceeded what I was expecting to get for the money.
2 weeks after my son was born I had open heart surgery. Needless to say I bought the open heart Bambino. My name translates to 'fawn' and his to 'friend of deer'. Needless to say, it was a no-brainer purchase
The green/orange Triton was my first automatic watch and I still love it. It took me a while to truly realize how insanely good its design is as well as the lume, the bezel and crown action which are nearly unmatched in all my collection.
You can tell how valuable Orient feels when you see zoomers and influencers mistake an Orient Bambino for a luxury watch just because of how classy it looks on a leather strap from that one Teddy Baldasarre video.
@@santorini8423 Teddy has a video where he has zoomers and influencers see if they can recognize watch brands, on the last segment, he lines up a bunch of watches with varying straps and the Orient Bambino kept fooling people into thinking it was a luxury watch because of how good it looked on a leather strap.
I have one of their dive watch (Mako) with the Pepsi bezel. I like the watch quite a bit, but my only grip is the size of the crown, which is pretty small and somewhat hard to manipulate.
Orient should start reissuing its Tristar models in 36 and 38 mm, with better materials. It was by far their most popular watch back in the day and it would be a banger now too, provided it has better finishing and materials of course
I love orient. I wear a black dial ray 2 almost daily. I cook for a living and the watch has been more than impressive. If orient is listening, My Christmas wish is for a 36mm explorer "style" watch at the ray/mako price points. I recently took to ali express because I wanted to try 36mm and not be out a bunch of money. Of course I went straight to the orient catalogue but no luck. I now love the size and would probably daily an orient in this format.
I don't own any Orient so far, but I've had a couple of Neo Classic Sports in my Amazon cart for a long time. I will definitely pick one up before they go out of stock.
The Orient Maestro was my first mechanical watch. A few things to mention as an owner: -I guess I was under influence of the fashion watch at the time because the design looked great, but nowadays a think its quite boring -My version has a pretty impressive 100m of water resistance -Although not super thick at 12mm, the thickness is towards the top which makes it a bit difficult to wear under a cuff -Mine was running at +20s a day. But once the warranty expired I regulated it my self and now it runs consistently at +3s a day
Picked up a MAMACOO's watch as my first watch last month and I’m absolutely in love with it. Perfect size, looks elegant, very comfortable. Now my only problem is holding off from buying more watches so quickly!
This is now my favourite watch channel on TH-cam , such great content and done superbly, well done sir and I got my favourite watch at amzwatch, it hasn’t left my wrist for weeks
got my 39mm with the white dial on the 3-link "Bader" bracelet watch on MAMACOO 3 weeks ago and am loving it to pieces. Absolute fantastic watch that wears super comfortable on my 6.75 inch wrist. Chose the 3-link over the 5-link bracelet for the toolless quick adjustment. Way more comfortable than my Longines Hydroconquest 41 mm.
I’ve been enjoying your videos. It’s great to see affordable watches discussed and showcased (and some scams exposed). Anecdotally we have the same wrist size, so your videos double as a demonstration of what specific models would look like on me. 😎
I own a Mako 3, in a JDM exclusive burnt orange fumé dial colour with orange and grey bezel insert. Fantastic watch. Also own a black dial Orient pilot watch. Type B dial flieger that’s excellent for the money asked. Love my two Orients, but still very annoyed that there are NO Authorised Dealers in Australia, so I have to go grey market, as overseas ADs aren’t allowed to ship to Australia 😢
Yes, the flieger is awesome. I really wanted a flieger and couldn’t afford a Dekla, so the Orient flieger scratched the itch. Wearing it as I type this!
Been watching your videos for a while now and was inspired to start a collection. Started with the MAMACOO, its specs for price and clean looks, now am looking for a dress watch to add.
Great video, very accurate analysis. In my 4.5 years in the game as a watch collector and enthusiast, I collected a lot from MAMACOO I was thinking I was able to get a blue SD but I'm not vip enough, but I'm not giving up. Hehe. Great video.
I bought an Orient Bambino V2 with the champagne dial and aside from the microscopic date window is an awesome watch; in my opinion rivalling the Tissot Le Locle that my wife bought.
I bought a watch from amzwatch lightly used for my last milestone birthday. Don't wear it as much as it deserves, but not afraid to, either. It's stunning . Good taste, Sir.
AMZWATCH is one of my favorite watch manufacturers they do offer beautifull dials, good workmanship & moovements. That smooth sweeping second hand is truly mesmerizing!
I have the Triton with power reserve. Or did they change it to the Neptune?? Anyway, it's a freaking beast of a watch and certainly too big for me and I should probably sell it but it's such a great piece. I haven't been able to part with it.
Hey Ben, this video made me pull the trigger on buying a greenish/tealish Kamasu V1. I had been hesitant as my wrist is smaller so anything over 41mm gives me pause but seeing it on your wrist and understanding how the lug to lug makes it fit closer to a 40mm really helped and I really liked your suggestion on the color. LOVE the watch.
Excellent tour through Orient. I have always thought that one could put together a varied budget watch collection based on Orient alone. I own 3 Orients and am happy with all.
Like always, great review Mate!! - I do like the Orient sub-seconds in the champagne dial, Neo Classic is sporty. I do have a Kamasu and thats always the best. I believe you missed the 1965 WEEKLY AUTO ORIENT KING DIVER - Reissue. very nice dial, hope you looked at it.. good job and thanks for all the effort and service.
I own the short run Mako USA which predated the Kamasu by a few years. Looks very similar to it and has sapphire crystal. My only complaint is the small crown.
Would LOVE an orient star video. Hard to find Orient Stars in person in the US to test out, but they seem awesome online. I've had a Bambino for years, very happily, now ready for an upgrade in the orient fam.
Thank you very much for the review Ben! Besides the Mako solar chronograph, there is the Neo 70s lineup of chronograph watches made by Orient. I believe that it is worth mentioning or reviewing too. I am so glad to realise that so many Orient watches are great in so many ways yet remain extremely affordable. I really appreciate this review summary of the best Orient watches available.
Just bought the Orient Star Diver RE AT0102y0Y00B, brown dial, and man I think it has slipped under the radar. It is a little extra for some people due to the open heart but I find its so striking. For the money, I think it's so unique and I probably will never come across many people who have it or even know what it is which I find exciting sometimes. I have some mainstream brands which are recognized easily but sometimes it's nice to have something somewhat unknown.
Excellent video (as always). As much as I would like to buy an Orient, all of their sport models are much big. I think guys don't realize how ridiculous a 42mm watch looks. Orient needs to move toward 40mm for its divers and solar chronograph -- then I would be buying.
The Orient Flight series was my entry into the automatic watch world. I have one in each of the dial colors (green, cream, black, etc.) in the “B” dial. The Flight series is rather basic as some have noted, but the B dial always gets comments. Orient improved the series when it upgraded the movement to hack and hand wind. (I have the first movement which doesn’t hack or hand wind.)
Where is the M-Force line up? When talking about Orient divers M-Force should be mentioned. I understand that is maybe too big for some wrists, but the M-Force line up is the ISO certified divers by Orient
I do have an M-Force watch lying around somewhere but simply haven't gotten around to checking it out. Unlike many reviewers, I actually like to test the watches I feature/recommend, which inherently means there are only so many I can get through. What do you think about M-Force? I thought they look a little like Invicta hehe
I bought a watch from AMZWATCH lightly used for my last milestone birthday. Don't wear it as much as it deserves, but not afraid to, either. It's stunning . Good taste, Sir.
Can confirm Orient rubber straps are crazy long. My wrist is nearly 8” and there’s still pleeeeeeenty of holes to spare when I strap on their rubber straps even on the relatively short L2L on the Ray, on my bigger Triton (the OG ISO rated, power reserve model) it’s almost too long to be wearable.
I'm very much over (was never into) the whole TiFfAnY bLuE thing, and I've never considered an open heart dial, but that RA-AR0009L10B (ugh) looks stunning. On the shortlist it goes.

Yes. A similar video on orient Star would be appreciated.
MUCH appreciated
Heck yeah, I want to get more solid info on the Orient Stars.
Agreed! They don't get nearly enough coverage. Please Ben!
Orient is positioned so uniquely in the watch market. What a wonderful brand.

The red Kamasu was the first watch my wife bought me. Valentines Day 2021. I don't wear it a lot, but I still like it.
I love my Ray raven. I just got the Mako 40 in white. Love both watches. They wear very well due to the smaller dimensions. But best thing about them is the value. The quality far exceeded what I was expecting to get for the money.
Ia orient mako 40 heavy for daily use?
Since it seems quiet bulky.
Great video, Ben. The Orient Star definitely deserves a mention and perhaps it's own video. I find they are a huge step up in fit and finish.
Ay hello chronometer
2 weeks after my son was born I had open heart surgery. Needless to say I bought the open heart Bambino.

Hey Ben, there's this Orient Symphony 4 that use a Sapphire Crystal for pretty much under $200!
The Orient superking with the red wine colored vintage dial looks gorgeous.
Always entertaining and informative. Thanks Ben.
Another great video Ben. so close to 200k now. u guys going to AG this year?

Yes, please, a round up on the gorgeous Orient Stars would be marvelous!
I have a blue ray 2 and a Bambino small second. I love them both. Orient makes really good watches. Thankyou Ben for this great list
Black ray 2 was my first real watch purchase. I was thinking of a bambino but I wanted something more everyday than dressy. Still my most worn watch.
Got the Solar Panda and it is GORGEOUS
This is now my favourite watch channel on TH-cam , such great content and done superbly, well done sir and I got my favourite watch at amzwatch, it hasn’t left my wrist for weeks
