These are beautiful recommendations, especially the Illuminature book! It looks so uniquely different from other picture books I've seen. I was browsing picture books I could purchase as gifts, so thank you for the helpful video :)

    Hi Vidya
Thank you for these beautiful books! A book that I came across recently with an autumn theme and absolutely stunning illustration is ‘Little Goose’s autumn’ by Elli Wollard..it mostly deals with how different animals prepare for the winter. Do check it out if you haven’t already. I am sure you will love the illustrations

A Kid's Book about Autism is also a great one. It has no pictured but the text is super simple and helps children learn about autism.

You could leave a couple of books with his toys, and see if he picks one up. The pictures will draw him in and he’ll ask you to read it to him. My other videos have great nature books for preschoolers too.

Hi Vidya! Waiting for the post about fiction books. I feel, that my book collection is over-represented by non-fiction. I would like to get some recommendations for fiction books with lovely illustrations.

I love your book videos and also your presentation style:) I'd recommend to check out National Geographic's Photicular book series. We have 2 of them and I'm considering getting another. My 15 month old loves to flip through the pages, they are sturdy enough to not break under clumsy hands. Having finished my picks among the kids' book classics, I now focus on presenting books of unusual formats(e.g. I'm definitely getting Illuminature! ), just to curb my kid's interest about what all a book can represent.

@@faraahbarafwala Book titles depend on kid's age and your region(or language spoken at home). Categories I'd go for:
1.Human faces/expressions: e. g. Baby Faces by Margaret Miller, Peek-a-boo! by Roberta Grobel Intrater
      2. Body parts: we have Where's Baby's belly button and Toes, Ears & Nose by Marion Dane Bauer, however a minus is that the illustrations are not very realistic.
      3. Opposites: Baby up, Baby down by Abrams Appleseed
      4. Routines: We have local language books at home. From international ones: Good night moon by Margaret wise brown (English speaking households only), Good night Teddy (soft book)
      5. Vocabulary-building: First 100 words Lift-The-Flap
      6. Story Telling:
Books from Sophie Schoenwald(International, however not sure there is an English version)
Little blue truck by Alice Schertle (English speaking households)
      7. Animal sounds/Touch and feel books: Here we have a local language version so you got to look for recommendations.
      8. Lift-the-Flap books:
Peep Inside Nighttime from Usborne Publishing
      9. Songs/Rhymes book.
Storybook Rhymes from Fisher Price publishing, The Wheels on the Bus by Paul O. Zelinsky (for bigger kids than my current 15month old, as easily distructible).
I recommend to check out Videos for baby/toddler age groups depending on your situation, from youtubers: Feel Good Mama, Hapa Family and Learn With Adrienne.
