Good morning. I ask for help regarding the ME 90. Trying the delays: MODULATE, WARM, TAPE, ANALOG, STANDARD and also the one in the EQ/FX2 part, they are practically all the same and not even a stereo one. Is this the case or did they give me a defective pedal board? I've been using Boss pedals for a long time but never with this limit. Thank you and greetings.
Ill never part with my EVH 5153 combo, but since I do not play live anymore I have been attempting to go digital. My needs seem simple. Heavy, thick, 90s metal tone. I had a Kemper but sold it because I never used it for anything more than a guitar amp. Got the Katana Artist, despite its range of tones, it will not do metal the way I want. Same with the GX-100, but even worse. Then I tried the ME 90, and just more of the same, and yes- the IRs make all the difference. For me, the worst thing about the ME, is no amp relay. What is the point of the 4 cable method if your fx unit cannot change the amp channels with patch changes? I like the idea of running it 4 cable thru my amp so I have the ability to switch to the amps clean channel and use the the distortion stomps in the front end for different distortion levels, without tap dancing. I have a ToneX on the way hoping that might scratch my itch.
To remove that annoying hairy fizziness simply go into you parametric eq and slowly cut the very highest frequencies down a little at a time. You will be shocked at the difference.
The ME 90 doesn’t have a parametric EQ, although I agree that using one would definitely help. My goal here is to improve the overall sound for zero cost, but if you do have a cheap EQ pedal lying around, running it in through the effects loop makes a huge difference.
Wow playing Sometimes You Can’t Make It On Your Own was unexpected while researching IR info for my ME-90…absolutely love that song my friend
I love that song!
Great video thank you very much! What IRS are you using ?
Do you have the back switch selected to the right setting? Play with the Amp/Line switch.
Hey bro, awesome video. Indeed the IRs improved the total tone. Do you mind sharing the IRs please?

They definitely don’t sound the same to me but as far as I’m aware, they are not stereo. Maybe you did end up with a lemon!
Can u share your patch?

ToneX might just do it for you!
