The Morrisons fried tomato did not look very fried, if at all. The Sainsbury's breakfast did not look very hot, and they had better beans, probably not Heinz as they seem watered down without much flavour. The tastiest beans are Branston's every time. And as a word of warning, my ex used to cook the food at Tesco's which 'was' nice, but a few years back they started using value bacon, beans, sausages and eggs, so she quit her job in disgust at those mean tight morons! I have had breakfasts and meals at many Morrison's all over the UK, and they are the best without a doubt!

The massive issue is that there is so much local and regional variation between breakfasts within the same chain. It quiet difficult to be able to balance them out, at least he tried, but your local store might be different, even when it’s working from the same standard menu.

My local Morrisons (Chadderton) is a 15 minute walk down the end of the main road i live on so the cafe gets a weekly visit, whilst my local Sainsburys is a 15 minute drive so rarely gets visited, i don't get the full breakfast at Morrisons but i do get Sausage (3 of them!!) egg, chips, beans, slice of B & B and a tea so close enough. or i'll get the fish chips and peas. Ive rarely been disappointed by the meals there, sometimes you might get a dry egg or a smallish fish if im having that, but not much to complain about..... its 20 to 1 in the morning and i'm actually hungry now, good thing im going doing my shopping at Morrisons tomorrow!

When you make your tea, fill the cup with hot water too. Dip the tea bag in and put it back in the pot. An extra mug of tea !!!!! My Sainsburys doesnt have a cafe anymore, so it has to be Morrisons for me, which is always nice. Thanks for the vlog xx

Great video. I love a Morrison’s breakfast, they can’t be beaten… well so I though.. I never knew that Sainsbury’s did such a great looking breakfast so I must try one soon. Of note though is that Morrisons do very good veggie and vegan breakfasts that are a healthier option if you don’t want a heavy stomach after eating in the morning.

Ah, the good old SBR (sauce to bean ratio) metric. Nice review, they looked similar but I prefer beans already on the plate so Sainsbury for me. Black pudding in place of a fresh tomato would be perfect for both these.

Both breakfasts looked good although from your video. Sainsbury shaded it for me. One draw back for me like my toast dry with the option butter myself. I guess however the ratings will vary, from in these particular supermarkets from location to location. Certainly top marks the pricing in both stores.

Both breakfasts have positives and negatives, I too am a hash brown lover and for that reason would probably opt for Morrison's.
I much prefer to butter my own toast. I would also prefer option of wholemeal toast.
I don't mind the beans being served separately but I don't like the Morrison's excess sauce, imagine that being sloshed all over the plate!

@@everydayimeating3407 there was no price list, just a menu. I was foolish enough to order without asking the price and I didn’t get charged until they served me it (10 minutes later) so I couldn’t really back out then.
It sounds like I had the same as you, except for the tomato (I hate ‘em). There was another one which was slightly similar that might have been about a quid cheaper, I think.
I bought it in Witham, Essex, with a coffee. Maybe they changed me extra for that. I should have stayed in Yorkshire because everything is so expensive! I used to live in Leeds myself. The one at Rothwell is coming in from the south, just off the M1 and there’s also the M621, Junction 30. Junction 29 goes the other way to Lofthouse, where there used to be a plant supplying ASDA with all their fast foods, way back in the 90’s before they closed it.

Sainsburys by far. They don't fry anything. They have state of the art ovens for cooking every thing so no oil is used & no deep frying, Morrisons deep fry sausages& black pudding. Sainsburys Eggs are baked. All food waste is recycled & any drink with milk in it is recycled to.

Don’t rate Supermarket breakfasts. Most of them don’t do Fried Bread. Not a decent breakfast, in my view, without fried bread. I think Toby Carvery does the best ‘all you can eat’ Buffet breakfasts. If you can’t select your ‘own’ bacon, eggs, sausages etc., you can always miss out on a decent portion if the Chef/Cook is a tight git!! I think Morrisons, and Sainsbury’s are not that good, plus the fact Sainsbury’s and a lot of other Supermarkets have now closed their ‘own’ restaurants, and franchised out the operations - pretty crap move, so I no longer use them!!
