I've actually never seen this way of opening the SI joint, but it worked on my first try! 2 months ago A dog chased me, and my shoe got caught on something and took me straight down on my right hip. I had been pain-free for almost 2 years before this happened. It was the smallest click and movement, but that release is huge, so I did the rest of the video. Can't wait to see how I sleep and feel tomorrow. Thank you, sir!
Hopefully lesson learned....don't run from dogs? You can't outrun them, but you can intimidate them most of the time. Unless the dog is trained to bite, they will almost always (90%+ of the time) react to you suddenly getting aggressive towards them.
My SI has been out for three weeks and nothing has really helped. I found this video yesterday, tried the couch adjustment move, and it actually fixed it! Thank you!

Have you tried a calm but strong yoga style? I ask because I was in an accident, too, injured l4-s2 plus SI joint, was pretty immobile for months and had lingering effects for years 'til I went back to yoga and had an instructor with this style, specifically. I'm better than I was before the accident now.
i have a l5s1 and a shifted pelvis my doctor has me doing pallover press and kickstand squats. it works for me. also avoid all exercises that involve trunk rotation .hope it helps.

I just watched a "short" of yours about squeezing your thumb nail base for 1 minute. IT WORKED! I couldn't believe it, I was very cynical hearing this but it was like a wave sweeping over me. I am 75, very content, always happy, I have some health problems but always answer I don't because I never remember them! I will admit to sciatica, the bane of my life for the past 25 yrs, despite doing the exercises the rehabilitation clinic put me through. I have subscribed and aim to watch many of your videos. A few years ago, my SI joint locked up. I have to say that the release of that joint felt so good it was almost worth the pain. It was such a good feeling when it broke loose.
@ If I could sell it, I would be retired. I went to a chiropractor to get mine fixed. The pain was just horrible. I never took any pain meds; I just kept trying to release it myself. But he got it after two or three visits. It got better each time, but when it finally gave, it was unreal.
That‘s incredible. I just came home from work, where im sitting everyday, all day. The discomfort you are describing in the lower back, is what i live with. I‘ve accepted it. It’s part of me. I didn’t search for videos concerning this pain. It just popped up. I‘m Not Even sure why i just tried to do what you showed. But i did it. And it had an enormous effect on me. My pain is not conpletely gone, but i definitely can feel a huge relief. Thank You very much! This is really great! I hope i will find the dedication to constantly do these excercices. A new hope of a painfree life is rising 🥳 (PS: Sorry if i‘m misspelling, im not a native english speaker)
Nice tips, thank you. The knee on couch looks promising for me. I wish someone would discuss that si joint issues are not the same and so each person needs to find the moves that work for them. I often have luck with in the shower, leaning back with hands behind back on 1 si joint and twisting my torso, pushing with hands and my joint will pop back into place. So you need to find techniques that work for you. Thanks for these other approaches to try.
Thanks Doc! I HAVE to try these. I'll turn 71 in a few months (GOD willing) and have suffered lower back pain from an injury since I was 19. Chiropractors have helped but the underlying problem is still there. Now I'm so stiff I cannot cross my legs when sitting and have neuropathy in my feet and swelling in my legs and feet. I think these exercises will help. I'll let you know after 30 days or so. Thanks again!

It’s so cool to see people doing these unique stretches. Three years after I randomly discovered them on my own when I was younger. I had upper mid back pain in my muscles constantly, and I started told him my head down and pulling at it at an angle and you can feel it go all the way down. And then I started doing that half Indian style stretch When I was younger and the first one, but I remember that second scratch that half Indian style thing I could feel it on the outside of my head or butt. Wherever, I can feel the stretch hard-core and I’ve been do it for years. You can be laying back in bed cross one leg over and push your knee out and you can feel that stretch. I always thought it was a hip flexor stretch or something like that until I join the army and did real hip flexor stretches. but yeah, I’ve been doing that stretch for over 30 years and the neck stretch. I told you about and it’s cool to finally see other people I have discovered them as well cause they’re not calm and stretches. The leg one I never had pain in those areas or nothing I just noticedthe relief it felt when I was younger and I’ve probably done it every single day possibly not every day when I was in the army or deployed, but besides that.
