I love this - billions of dollars of medications, injections, surgeries every year and the cure is in the amazing human body and letting it heal. Of course there will always be exceptions but I think the far majority of patients suffering would benefit from your advice. Just like how sutures might temporarily hold skin in place the real magic is the healing that the body does. I think a huge disservice is being done to patients when "physiotherapy" and "core strengthening" get thrown around as broad terms without individual advice and people don't get better and then are forced to turn to patch attempts. I am going to check out more of your videos and appreciate the high quality!
I have severe spinal stenosis. I asked my orthopedic surgeon to measure the A-P diameter of the spine at the L4-L5 level. He changed his diagnosis to "very severe spinal stenosis." Because of neuroplasticity, each of us is unique. The doctor treats the patient, not the MRI scan. Some patients have spinal stenosis on MRI but have no symptoms. Unfortunately, I have typical symptoms. I found out that Medicare covers home visits by a physical therapist for patients such as me. Spinal stenosis is a very specific problem, and physical therapy and the avoidance of aggravating positions and exercises is very important, as pointed out in this video. I will continue my physical therapy with a physical therapist who specializes in treating spinal stenosis.
Great way to show what happens to the psoas -I teach sport stretch classes & constantly talk about the psoas & back issues> video great to see it -Thks great post
Yin yoga moving the facia the connective tissues is what will help you all. But doing it twice a day especially before you go to bed is a challenge. You need to do it if you want to get rid of your pain. Furthermore, the 3 dod bird is very good too before any exercise, especially strenuous exercises like weight get lifting or BJJ
👍🏼 I’m glad I found you, just now. I have lumbar spinal stenosis-deteriorating disc, I have a crunch spine and it is shifted. I saw the x-rays they’re not very pretty. I wish I wouldn’t have saw them because I felt a lot better before I saw them. 🙄
Hi this is a great explanation, thank you. At 5.56 you have the moving diagram of walking and I notice that the walker doesn't straighten their legs fully as they put their leg forward, is this accurate? It would be really helpful to know please. Thanks
I really hope that these channels like yours put all of the cookie cutter PT offices out of business. I've been in and out of physical therapy for 12 years due to hip/lumbar/pelvic dysfunction stemming from slipped capital femoral epiphysis when i was an adolescent. This video gave me better direction than all of my years going to random PTs whom only address symptoms, as is usual with our medical system. The medical professionals behind the youtube curve are laughable to me now and i immediately dismiss them these days.
I seem to be the only one who has more pain lying down especially on my right side than standing or sitting and i cannot find out why. Makes for a lousy sleep.
You just came into my feed .... I think you just shed light on my debilitating, excruciating pain.

Hi. My stenosis and spondy started do to an injury 13 years ago. But yes walking on concrete for 6 hours straight. It isn't pleasant.
When I pucker my glutes as to bring my hips forward it helps take away my pain.

“ get down on the floor and connect your core”

Could it be SI joint? That's what mine is...
