Rarely am I this serious about a song, but I absolutely adore this Phoenix track. I've listened to it on repeat about 20 times now and it still affects me every time. This is art.

Everyone once in a while a piece of music comes along that so perfectly speaks the where you are at that place, that time, that moment, and it cuts through you like a knife. This album does that. This band does that. Every single time. This album is gonna destroy me.

First time I heard this was on the way to crew practice on a local radio station. DJ put it on before telling listeners something about logging onto their website for concert information and was promptly DESTROYED by that opening synth riff. It was awesome.

stylish..but unreadable for many. the point of a lyric video is to ya know, provide clear and easy to understand lyrics. Cursive is pretty and all but it's an unpopular choice for the general public to be able to read and follow along with the song.
Their musical style actually inspired a lot of late 00s indie rock. Their recent albums haven't made much of a splash, but Is This It and Room on Fire shaped and molded the sound of music in the decade that followed. They didn't revolutionize music, but they definitely had an impact on it. Nobody's claiming they're as influential as The Beatles or Led Zeppelin or Radiohead (who changed music of the 60s, 70s, and 90s respectively), but they still have been fairly important.

Add 26 to your 14, YOUNG FELLA, and I've been listening to Phoenix since they dropped United. Best concert I've ever been too (and I've seen my fair share) was Phoenix at the Paradise in Boston in 2009.
I work in a cinema and I've been introduced to some great songs through end credits, such as this one. I never understand people complaining about those who hear songs through films and such. Fans of lesser-known bands should be thankful that their songs are being used in places that will give people a chance to hear them for the first time. If it wasn't for Now You See Me, I might have never heard of this band.
