As a person entering middle age I can't stop listening to new music, I don't see myself being stuck in some era that was in my past. We live in an age with so much amazing music, I feel lucky to get to experience it all.
Amidst the harshness of adulthood this song is bonfires on the beach, stolen kisses under the moon, and a freedom my heart has not felt in a decade... The sweet nostalgia never fades
We lived a life without social media iPhones and this was the late millennials anthem.. wild at heart not yet corrupted by TH-cam or Any other major streaming services yet…
I totally forgot this song existed until about 20 min ago and as soon as I heard the beat kicking, being a reckless 16 yr old again totally became a reality throughout the duration of this song
There is something beautiful and oddly timeless about this song. Based on a lot of the comments, no matter the age, this song seems to bring everyone back to more carefree days. Myself included, I am 52 and, for reasons I can't explain, this song brings me back to my college years in the mid 80's. Absolutely brilliant song.
I’m 38 and completely agree with your sentiment. Since the first time I heard it, it’s reminded me of being 20 and driving out of my hometown in my old VW convertible. They captured a near-universal feeling- love, anticipation, nostalgia, pain.

The song that perfectly captured a moment in time for everyone that heard it. It's a time machine for each of us. Now let those feelings sprung from past memories flow through you engulfing you in pure nostalgia.... Vibe well my friends.
In 2014 my mom was dying of cancer. Before I saw my gf for the last time before I flew to spend her final days with her, this song came on. A couple days later she had passed, and I was just so sad and hurt. I was in the car, and this song came on. I think of it now as anytime it comes on it’s my mom telling me everything is going to be okay
Leah Nepo Sorry about your dad but when you said overweight I was a litte surprised because if that is you in your photo you are the prettiest girl ive seen in my life
When I was 13, I heard this song for the first time on Viva (a German TV channel). Now, 12 years later I still listen to it and it feels exactly the same as back then. Same feelings. No difference. One of the best songs (1 out of 5) of all time that I have ever heard in my life. Thanks for releasing this song.
God damn brooo, meee to also german viva, i had that chanel only for good music in croatia in 2011, brings back tears for time that passed, i was 12 back then, also close, still remeber that triangle on every music video saying the artist , so g name, and album, good old times, good old viva
Almost 14 years I've been listening to this song. I'm 27 going on 28 and when this song first came out I can't even begin to explain how amazing it was and the memories that followed after. It sucks how fast time goes by. I always thought as a kid that adults we're bullshitting about how fast time flies the older you get.
This is one of the songs that completely changes your mood no matter how crappy your day was. It is such a beautiful song. It makes me completely forget the world around me and just makes me so unbelievably happy when I hear it.
All the millenials now hitting thirty wondering where the hell the last ten years have gone :( remember listening to this, feeling free. Now it's just work
Well, those of us in Gen X now hitting 50 feel the same way. But we'd be happy to trade, if anyone could figure out how to do that. Brilliant song, btw.
tony quintero Uhhh......ok.In short,Shazam is an application for a phone. And what It does ?? Well It can find you any music you dont know. When you run the app, there will be very big button and belive me,you cant miss it.So when you will hear some music (lets say in TV ) and you dont know the name of the music, just run shazam, hit that big button and stay quiet. After few seconds,it should find you the music and it will display to you its name and the name of the band that made the song.Shazam is avibale for free.So go now and download it and then try it.
Omg me too, I first heard this song on 2010 on a viva's tv commercial, but I couldnt find it since than, but finding this song was lifee was real happiness
Still here in 21 Vibing and surviving this wild ride called life. Big shouts to all the homies who have been here since the 80's. We have seen the world spin and change in so many ways, but still remain golden souls. Pushing kindness and positivity...
This song means so much to me. I just can't explain how I feel listening to it, it’s a mixture of freedom, nostalgia, loneliness, passion... mindblowing. My friends don't know it, but I put this song on our graduation video with our best moments at school. Now, 6 years later, I'm listening to it and having all the feelings back. It's so special, I just wanna say thank you for that.
Same! I only know this song because a 10-second clip from the refrain was played before almost every ad break on a music TV station, for about a month -- and I listened to the full song just a few times back then. Now it's _the_ most nostalgic song for me, by far, and I can't even really explain why. I think it brings out some quintessential feeling of being a teenager and really makes you take a ride on that feeling. Such a great song.
How does this only have 9 mil of views? This song have been featured in a lot of TV Commercials, soundtrack for games, trailers for movies, theme song for series and who knows what else? Like this song should have more views!!
in all the games , shows and commercials, music credits are rarely shown. I had to do a lyric search in order to find out who did this song. put the credits where the credit is due and maybe they would have more hits. killer tune though. play their cards right their lead singer could become the next Amy Lee. good luck
I LOVE THIS SONG. I'm about to turn 38. Got sober a few months ago and now I feel like I'm 18 again and ready to explore life. Came across this video/song just at the right time.
Indeed. I just turned 23 a few days ago. Time has passed so quickly and I didn't even think it went that fast. Always great to have a song that reminds you of the younger years though. :)
***** Yeah I know, I guess that just i'm afraid of waking up one day with forty years and having done anything yet like travel or backpacking alone, that has always been my dream.
love this song makes me think about my entire life and all the amazing things I've done ..jumping off of a Kmart roof into bushes for the fun of it ,pushing a semi truck tire onto a bonfire when I was 14 and drunk, getting hit by a car when I was 15 and walked away from it ,lip singing korns got the life at a hillbilly festival just to be that guy everyone gave dirty looks to lol, meeting a bunch of my favorite actors ,wrestlers, and comic book artist's..but all of this is when I was younger... now I'm 32 and amazing things are still happening every day ..I have 2 beautiful sons now ,a loving woman ,a home,an amazing collection of comics ,toys, autographed memorabilia, etc etc ...life is only as amazing and beautiful as you are willing to let it to be ..enjoy every second of it and don't let a moment of it pass you by have fun,be stupid, be wreckless ..but always be loving, faithfull, loyal, and know your goals ...I wish the best in life for all of you
+Cody Drew wow thank you so much for that. I actually enjoyed reading that. When i read "when i was 14" ... then onto "now i'm 32 / with 2 sons and a wife" ... my mind was blown away. You were just a little kid now you're the man of the house. Time sure is flying....
Randomly came across this song again as a 26 year old woman, in bed fighting Covid. The last time I heard this song I was 14/15, I had a blackberry or an iPhone 4. This song brings back nostalgia of running around after school with my friends.
This is one of those things I haven't heard in years because it wasn't really in the vein of what I listened to back then, and yet as I (re)discover it I'm flooded with a feeling of familiarity. Remembering 2010-2011.
lyrics: We're only young and naïve still We require certain skills The mood it changes like the wind Hard to control when it begins The bittersweet between my teeth Trying to find the in-betweens Fall back in love eventually Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah Can't help myself but count the flaws Claw my way out through these walls One temporary escape Feel it start to permeate We lie beneath the stars at night Our hands gripping each other tight You keep my secrets hope to die Promises, swear them to the sky The bittersweet between my teeth Trying to find the in-betweens Fall back in love eventually Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah As it withers, brittle it shakes Can you whisper, as it crumbles and breaks? As you shiver, count up all your mistakes Pair of forgivers, let go before it's too late Can you whisper? Can you whisper? Can you whisper? Can you whisper? The bittersweet between my teeth Trying to find the in-betweens Fall back in love eventually Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah The bittersweet between my teeth Can you whisper? Trying to find the in-betweens Can you whisper? Fall back in love eventually Can you whisper? Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah
I love this song. It reminds me of when I was a teenager. Me and my friends used to get up really early to go skateboarding around the town and this song reminds me of those times. Times when we didn't have to worry or care about anything else other than just living. Good times.
I was snowboarding this weekend up in big bear and this song was blasting on my headphones while coming down those black diamonds...... it was sick, such a beautiful feeling!
It makes me sad.. I was 15 when this song was released, and I was always feeling like the best was yet to come❤️ I had the best time in high school and college!! But well now it‘s over and that’s honestly so depressing... TAKE ME BACK
The song was nostalgic when it first came out but has aged well. Its the sound of youth, of carefree times. What a song. 2:09the drums and vocals really set the contrast tone to Alisa's voice. TNAF are awesome, I wish they would do one last tour, I would go no matter where it was.
5 years ago I heard this track for the 1st time..... however I still find myself listening to it at least 2-3 times a week, therefore this song still go hard af....Fr
@Thomas Barnhart , yeah it's awesome, reminds me of being young and restless and free with nothing too in the summer time. Can you list some other cool songs like this for me to check out?
The amount of pure of joy I feel from this song. I first heard it when I was 18 and it still gives the same memories and feelings as it did almost 11 years later. The feelings of joy, happiness, wonder, and the overwhelming thought of where the hell did the time go? I hope everyone has a precious memory from this song, because I know I do.
I'm 25. I probably haven't listened to this song in almost 10 years but I just heard the intro in a video I was watching and I knew I knew the song. I had to Shazam it to remember the name but as soon as I pulled up this video I was able to remember and sing the lyrics perfectly. It's amazing what music that touches your soul can do to you.
Isn't it beautiful how music can make you feel a certain way? This particular song seems to make people feel sentimental, wishing they could rewind life and go back to being young. We should take each moment we are given and live it the fullest
Gives me goosebumps and reminds me of my teenage years! Wow what a time I had! Lovely, can never forget it! Drunk, stoned n did stupid things! No regrets! Live life and cherish it! Just one life! 😎🤟🏼
"The bittersweet between my teeth" sums up the feeling i get from this so much. The sweet being remembering good things but the bitter being the knowledge i wont get them back
i remember when i heard this song for the first time. i was in first year college, first sem. this was playing in the background from an ad in TV. that is when the pressure came in. it made me realize that i am getting older and i have to take things seriously and i have no close friends that time and i was like scared, scared to grow old. it was like, it was happening so quickly and i am not ready.
Remember, it's your body that grows old -- not your mind. I relish both, age and experience, because I'd rather be a better person and stay confident in whatever I accomplish. Don't beat yourselves up: Life will do that for you.
Finally after countless frustrating months of trying to find the song with this melody without knowing artist, sound title, or lyrics, I finally found the song I was looking for!!!
I AM GOING TO CRY OF HAPINESSES JUST BY REMEMBERING THIS SONG I SWEAR TEARS OF JOY! I NEED MORE MUSIC LIKE THIS IN MY LIFE MAKE ME FEEL HAPPY AND LIKE LIFE IS WORTH IT! BECAUSE SOMETIMES I FEEL LIKE IT IS NOT
This song is hauntly beautiful. Takes me straight back. It's crazy the feeling you get like where has time gone. So young, so hopeful. This hurts but I love it.
My best friend.. I've known him since we were 10 years old. In and out of each others lives... very sporadic... always kept in touch. 24 years later, after reuniting once again.. we are together. Funny how life goes sometimes. He loves me... I've always loved him.
There's a Walgreens in my city that's in an old bank building, it's absolutely massive and really fancy. I went there for candy and snacks all the time when I was in high school. I graduated in 2015. That Walgreens is closing on January 31st of this year. I went in for one last visit and this song was playing on the stereo. I used to listen to this song all the time back then too.
Ahhhhh I remember blasting this song at 24 years old in my white bmw convertible with the top down at night, just pure nostalgia back then and always will be 🌈 Flash forward 9 years later at 33 years old I look back on these days and reminisce. What a fun decade my 20’s were and how I’m so blessed to have had a great decade of traveling abroad, just having fun, living life, and still blessed to live another day and starting a new chapter in my life with a family. God is good.
This band has a certain sound to it that just makes people nostalgic, no matter if they can identify with the video/ text or not, it's just the sound and I think that's amazing Anyway, have a great day everybody!
I love it it takes u back to a time u can't remember but feels great anyway like when everything in life was still possible and u couldn't wait to try it all !!!!!! Great song one of my new faves
Man, the 2009-2013 era of music holds a special place in my heart.
No lie man 💔💔💔

I suspect it has something to do with the age you were at back then; or you were in a really great relationship.
It the era of indie music finding their wayss
to mainstream radio
Yeah, I absolutely cherish those good old days
This song makes me unbelievably happy and sad at the same time.
This song is musified nostalgia. That's what nostalgia is about. Therefore, it's a fabulous song, as it performs its function perfectly.
Best description ever. Pure melancholy
This song is TOO nostalgic to listen to sometimes.
It makes me think of Time To Pretend by MGMT. oh God I’m 40 now in a 9-5 job with no end in sight
the lyrics make you nostalgic but the music is upbeat
Just turned 70. This song takes me back to the good old days before I became a senior citizen.
Wait...shouldn't Beethoven be doing that?
Forever young. The older you grow, the softer the heart becomes. I know what youre saying. ❤
As a person entering middle age I can't stop listening to new music, I don't see myself being stuck in some era that was in my past. We live in an age with so much amazing music, I feel lucky to get to experience it all.

I am almost half a century old as well, and I fell in love with this song after hearing the first 25 seconds.
I'm right behind you in age. This song represents an uncertain time for me that had turned out to be my rebirth. Good memories

The song that perfectly captured a moment in time for everyone that heard it. It's a time machine for each of us. Now let those feelings sprung from past memories flow through you engulfing you in pure nostalgia....

Prayers ❤
Im sorry man, may God take of her and he keeps you strong ❤ 🙏🏽

The power of positivity, Thankfulness, and letting yourself enjoy your life✌️
This is a song that represents a whole age group.
No it's not. I'm in an entirely different age group from what the marketing intended. It represents a mindset. Also a musical taste.

When I was 13, I heard this song for the first time on Viva (a German TV channel).
Now, 12 years later I still listen to it and it feels exactly the same as back then.
Same feelings. No difference.
One of the best songs (1 out of 5) of all time that I have ever heard in my life.
Thanks for releasing this song.
that is what you call GOOD music :)
mee to same time and everything
Viva war damals echt n banger Sender, rip 😢
God damn brooo, meee to also german viva, i had that chanel only for good music in croatia in 2011, brings back tears for time that passed, i was 12 back then, also close, still remeber that triangle on every music video saying the artist , so g name, and album, good old times, good old viva
Krass ja man bei mir genauso, auf VIVA liefen immer diese kurzen Clips mit dem Track. Heftig wie lang das her ist.
It makes me completely forget the world around me and just makes me so unbelievably happy when I hear it.
listen to the sound of arrows wonders. you'll like that too
your rite I was in a crapy mood but I love this song so much I think they can still make videos
it always brings me up too and I wonder if they know how much they have helped us in some small or big way.

All the millenials now hitting thirty wondering where the hell the last ten years have gone :( remember listening to this, feeling free. Now it's just work
:( i hit the wall also, im no longer attractive. I hate 30s
Well, those of us in Gen X now hitting 50 feel the same way. But we'd be happy to trade, if anyone could figure out how to do that. Brilliant song, btw.

It really does an excellent job of outlining the stages we go through in our youth and that's why we relate to it so much.

Hi again in October 2024. One of my all time favs.
How does this only have 9 mil of views? This song have been featured in a lot of TV Commercials, soundtrack for games, trailers for movies, theme song for series and who knows what else? Like this song should have more views!!
in all the games , shows and commercials, music credits are rarely shown. I had to do a lyric search in order to find out who did this song. put the credits where the credit is due and maybe they would have more hits. killer tune though. play their cards right their lead singer could become the next Amy Lee. good luck

I don't care who you are, what you are, or how old you are. This will always be a summer song.
Whoever you think about when you listen to this song with your eyes closed is who you’re meant to be with.
I love this song but makes me feel old. I'm 24 and it's like there so many things I want to do yet but time passes so quickly.
Indeed. I just turned 23 a few days ago. Time has passed so quickly and I didn't even think it went that fast. Always great to have a song that reminds you of the younger years though. :)
WECKmaster329 I know right?

SSX is how I know
both!
Art of Flight, stuffs the shit brah.
First song for bridge jumping...
lyrics:
We're only young and naïve still
We require certain skills
The mood it changes like the wind
Hard to control when it begins
The bittersweet between my teeth
Trying to find the in-betweens
Fall back in love eventually
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah
Can't help myself but count the flaws
Claw my way out through these walls
One temporary escape
Feel it start to permeate
We lie beneath the stars at night
Our hands gripping each other tight
You keep my secrets hope to die
Promises, swear them to the sky
The bittersweet between my teeth
Trying to find the in-betweens
Fall back in love eventually
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah
As it withers, brittle it shakes
Can you whisper, as it crumbles and breaks?
As you shiver, count up all your mistakes
Pair of forgivers, let go before it's too late
Can you whisper? Can you whisper?
Can you whisper? Can you whisper?
The bittersweet between my teeth
Trying to find the in-betweens
Fall back in love eventually
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah
The bittersweet between my teeth
Can you whisper?
Trying to find the in-betweens
Can you whisper?
Fall back in love eventually
Can you whisper?
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah
🙌🏼🙌🏼
Yup
thanks bro
👍 Nice.
I’ll always thank SSX 2012 for introducing me to this gem

ME TOO BROO
LEGEND !!!!!
Yeah I’m not ready to be nostalgic for the 2010s yet. Maybe when I’m in my 40s in the 2030s.
I love this song. It reminds me of when I was a teenager. Me and my friends used to get up really early to go skateboarding around the town and this song reminds me of those times. Times when we didn't have to worry or care about anything else other than just living. Good times.
I miss when things were simpler
I was snowboarding this weekend up in big bear and this song was blasting on my headphones while coming down those black diamonds...... it was sick, such a beautiful feeling!
It's like a totally different world back then, can't believe that such a thing actually existed.
Heard this song for the first time in The Art of Flight (movie). Amazing song!
Same here.....last nite !!

this band is underrated af
How exactly can something with 11 million views be considered underrated ~_~
i'm obviously saying that they deserve more recognition than they've received....? duh lmao

Way much more to life than nostalgia. Make your life what you want it be or another 10 years down the line you'll want this time back too.

The song was nostalgic when it first came out but has aged well. Its the sound of youth, of carefree times. What a song. 2:09the drums and vocals really set the contrast tone to Alisa's voice. TNAF are awesome, I wish they would do one last tour, I would go no matter where it was.

@Thomas Barnhart , thanks I'll check them out, I was digging that cold war kids "first" for a while...
I just like angsty music i guess.
SSX and THE ART OF FLIGHT , great song for snow
Hell yeah dude
*My childhood summertime anthem from 2012 to 2014*
*Absolutely cherish this song to bits man.*
This song just feels like hanging out with friends in the summertime

This song is hauntly beautiful. Takes me straight back. It's crazy the feeling you get like where has time gone. So young, so hopeful. This hurts but I love it.
My best friend.. I've known him since we were 10 years old. In and out of each others lives... very sporadic... always kept in touch.

That’s so beautiful ♥️
Anyone else wish they could go back in time to this era?... No worries at all
There's a Walgreens in my city that's in an old bank building, it's absolutely massive and really fancy. I went there for candy and snacks all the time when I was in high school. I graduated in 2015. That Walgreens is closing on January 31st of this year. I went in for one last visit and this song was playing on the stereo. I used to listen to this song all the time back then too.
Ahhhhh I remember blasting this song at 24 years old in my white bmw convertible with the top down at night, just pure nostalgia back then and always will be 🌈
Flash forward 9 years later at 33 years old I look back on these days and reminisce. What a fun decade my 20’s were and how I’m so blessed to have had a great decade of traveling abroad, just having fun, living life, and still blessed to live another day and starting a new chapter in my life with a family. God is good.
So my soul feels like this song.
