@@Sac_Bag Not many people know this but more expensive cars usually need more frequent servicing. Like the Lambo Huracan needs it's drive belt replaced every 13k miles I believe (whereas a normal car would probably last over 100k miles). Tires usually last shorter too (Again for a Lambo, 2k miles and they're usually done). Combine that with the car already being used and you're going to run into the maintenance issues sooner rather than later. The original owners typically hang on to them until just before they need massive servicing so the next person can deal with it.

If you can't afford $205. an hour at the dealer, this is not the car for you. Most of the owners of these cars, have no problem paying for the upkeep. Maserati is indeed a great choice but you need to keep its maintenance very tight, esp if it's preowned. For me a BMW Z3 post-facelift still makes a great impression especially if you take care of the bodywork, it's a unique car that gives off a great impression and women will want to take a ride with you often. The only downside is it's fairly common here in Europe and since it's an older model (2000), it'll keep surprising you with things that are hard to repair as the time goes by. Not an easy car to maintain but if you keep good care of it, it'll keep your personal brand fairly high.

I wasn't even on this level, but back in 2012 I bought a gently used 5 year old Cadillac SRX4 AWD Sport. It was super cush, hauled the whole family plus friends around in comfort and luxury... until things started going wrong. Over the next 7 years I owned it, I replaced every wheel's hub assembly (2 twice), almost every bolt on engine from the alternator, to power steering pump, etc. Cadillac parts come at a decent premium more than other GM parts, too. I paid just under $20K for a car that cost nearly 3 times than that just 5 years previously, but easily sunk another $10K into repairs during the time I owned it. Did I just get a lemon? Probably, but I'm pretty gun-shy on buying any more used Caddies.

2011 Maserati GranTurismo S 4.7 and 2011 Maserati GranCabrio S 4.7 are my choices. Both were 1 owner cars and less than 12k miles each, bought at the start of the pandemic. Only trouble so far has been an under sized battery which caused the tire pressure monitoring system to lose its mind. Having owned 2 Ferraris and a Lamborghini Countach 5000QV their running costs have not surprised me. The Ferrari derived V8 is pretty bullet proof and the ZF 6 speed auto is similar. Very happy 3 years in so far. Frankly, a naturally aspirated Ferrari built V8 with 433-444 bhp are not being built anymore, I don't see how these Pininfarina designed beauties are going to stay cheap for long. 0-60 times between 4.5-4.9 sec and top speeds 180-183 mph just seem like a steal to me. Imo, better than the also lovely Jag F type as the XKs are true GT cars....fast, very sporty...AND comfortable to drive over a distance. Comparing to the Aston DB7 and DB9...if you wanted a more hard driving sports car, AND didn't mind the huge cost premium, then you got the Aston. BUT, if you wanted to drive from Southampton to the south of France in style and comfort...then you would want the Jag.

@@tommern84 I never saw this reply to respond. The 599 was pretty aggressive for a grand tourer. Not overly comfortable or smooth which was the case for all Ferraris then. But it was just a blast to sit in. The GT3 was also not smooth and was a little loud but that was expected for a GT car. I would track it and it was rock solid, like all Porsches. You can abuse them and they never break or have any issues at all. Just perfection.
I think the hilux is one of the best vehicles on the planet. We don’t habe them here in the US but they have a following. I drive them a lot in Afghanistan. My personal truck was a euro spec Landcruiser (manual, diesel, cloth seats, no fancy stuff) and it was my baby. Best vehicle I’ve ever had. Wish we could get that style here.
That RS6 sounds like a monster. Yeah the high power cars are just a unique experience. My truck (ram TRX) is a monster too but not quite that quick, but a really great truck for the highway since I can pass big trucks very quickly. Safety first!
