May i just have it instead..i never win a thing. My jy68 was slow compared to the wltoys 1/10 match buggy but even that was quicker than this 1. I do like its appearance tho.
Where can I find reliable replacement parts for this buggy? My steering was broken when my grandsons were racing and crashed into one another’s car. I’m having difficulty finding a parts supplier.
It's a good looking little car and the scale details aren't bad. It was very funny that the shifter moves when you turn the wheels. But, it's ready to Ron.
Man those haters are so annoying. People just don't want to understand that you don't hate the Traxxas rc cars but the way they just handle "stuff". And even then it's you own right to have a certain opinion on anything. Don't give those haters too much attention sir! Keep up the good work and content! Greetings from the Netherlands
It looks like the result of an unholy coupling between the Wild One and the Country Buggy. It never ceases to amaze me how people can't separate Traxxas product with the companies business practices. If you have some Traxxas RC's you can still own and enjoy them. It doesn't make you a hypocrite. If you own some of their gear and don't like how they do business, don't buy more. Simples. Fun vid as always Phil.
I bought that one on prerelease. It is little slow, but is really fun to drive. If you swap the battery for the wpl ones, it goes little bit faster. The electronics cannot handle bigger wheels, as I try use the wpl c24 ones and it overload the electronics.
I got mine some weeks ago. Took of the fenders and cutted away this sidebox and added some really soft proline wheels an tyres. An printed a little version of WildWilly to fit in there. Really makes a lot of difference and is nearly cool 😎 🤭😉
You can take any chasis no matter how poor or toy grade and make it high speed and performance with the right stuff. Technically 1 can take a plank of wood and create a 100mph rc with the right parts.
Not bad for a toy grade, Phil! Not bad at all! 😃 I hope you mod it! It definitely deserves the fair treatment! Anyway, stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊
I love that you showed the message from Matt about traxxas. I actually did give all my traxxas stuff away or traded it for other things. I wont buy anything traxxas again no matter how good the vehicle might be (I have been looking for a TRX4 killer so I can have something that can compete with it). I believe you have a trx4 and a yi kong which is very similar to the trx4, could you do a shootout with them, see which one is the king? you could do rock crawling, tug of war, speed, mud run, hill climb.
Hi Phil, just returned to the hobby and found your channel, liking your reviews and the way you do it, had to subscribe too. Now I have to watch all your previous stuff, wish me luck, cheers.
I have one of these on the way, looks like it's safe for the 5yo to drive.. but I see a rapid change to brushless in the near future. Thank you for the review.
Ready to Ron merch? Youngest unboxed their D12 mini today, big hit, thanks a million for what you do so well. P.S. 3d printed 1/16 scale traffic cones have also gone down well for scale autotest courses.
My wpls struggle on grass i think a suspension and wheel upgrade on one these and it would be fantastic maybe slightly more powerful motor for a bit of punch. I think we need to see it on paddle tyres.
It's so close to the kind of thing I'd love to see more of from China. Even the suspension setup looks cool and retro but it's just too toy like. If they could only make some old school looking rigs like this but 1/10 with the typical 540 motor I swear they would sell well.
Seems like a quality toy grade rc. Definitely not hobby grade, but if I was 10 years old again, I'd be happy to get that as bday gift. Cuz the rc cars I was getting as a kid were horrible! At least until zip zaps and xmods started coming around.
With bearings already, it might be interesting to see how far you could take this toy grade, better shocks, tires & wheels, maybe better electronics, and motor... What kind of glue do you use to fix broken plastic? Anything I fix that breaks in shipping is gone with the first tumble...
Excellent video! As usual! Pinecone models are dangerous, be warned!! They are great toys, but even better hobby grade rc's in a scale that's starting to become larger! It doesn't take much to upgrade these little guys to being great little scale rigs! That chassis looks super easy to convert into a 2WD system, the fact that you get 5mm or 12mm tire options out of the box is pretty excellent! RC4WD fans know what kind of options live there! Love your videos, my good man! Keep up the excellent work!
Poor Traxxas Matt - he was so angry that he forgot to add a question mark to the end of his comment, thus dooming himself to look like an illiterate buffoon on the Internet for ever.
Surprised to see it's 4x4, so for £53 it ain't too bad! Deffo a Wild One copy that SG PINECONE FOREST 1612 RTR 1/16 2.4G 4WD RC Car Off-Road Full Proportional Vehicles Model Toys - Red. My first ever RC car was a Wild One. I soon broke it racing at an off road club!
Seems weird hearing that music at the end 😄 I know it from the "Expanded perspectives podcast" intro for the last decade 😄👌 mint, makes me think of bigfoots and mothmen 😂
Honestly, I really appreciate your unboxing process, as well as the details you always point out. Very thorough. However, I also find that I skip most of it on my initial watching of the video. Would you, perchance, consider doing the maiden runs first then giving the specs?
Hello Phil, I plan to get the blue one this pay day since delivery will be in a week. Question: can you tell me the size of front / rear tires of width and diameter ? I plan to do some sick mods on this, and make it look better. Thanks in advance.
Notice you put a driver 🤙. Can you show up close when you get a chance 🤔. Looks cool, saw that in a Edward RC video when they were being introduced to the market 👍. Looks good for indoors 🤔
Great video, as usual, But kind of an unrelated question, I have a Arrma Vorteks it it keeps breaking in scenarios I don't think it should be breaking, and I'm tired of it, and I was looking at the Team Associated MT10. Is it more durable, from your video it would seem like it is, by the way, great video, but I was wondering which one you would choose? I'm not really interested in the speed difference, just the Durability. Thanks
They sent it to the wrong person 🤣 that was for Ron not Phil 😂. I have seen this popping up everywhere but it doesn't look very appealing 😅 I want to see it doing at least 35mph 🤣
Win my Traxxas TRX4: raffall.com/338558/enter-raffle-to-win-a-traxxas-trx4-bundle-hosted-by-phil-harrison
Got my tickets, first 😂😂
Binge watching some Tomley RC videos this Sunday! LOL!

Yes haha… it should move when you adjust the speed switch… maybe that would make it go faster!
Challenge, get it to do 40mph .
Absolutely. A brushless setup and oil filled dampers would be 🔥!
Sounds like a old Land Rovers challenge😆
14mph would be a result 😂
Put a 4 cell in it and have a fire extinguisher ready....🤭😂🤣
Challenge accepted

Yeah… I generally ignore them. This message popped up as I was recording so had to share lol

Yeah, I’ve always said I like some of their stuff. Some people are just angry 😅

I would wanna see a TH-camrs competition on modding this thing to be as capable as possible on different categories.
+1

Yes… I think it needs more power!
@@TomleyRC Definitively! 9mp/, i can walk faster than that!(if i run a bit) :P
@@pigeonqc4318 I could as well... But I won't. 😬
"ready to Ron" your a wizard harry

There's heaps of good stuff man, Enjoy your marathon!

Yes, perfect for a 5yr old
Looks lovely! With proper suspension it would probably be good all around, even if it's not fast.
Reminds me of the PuBG buggy as well....
Seems fairly fun, may be a good buy for a younger person starting out
I kinda like it! Fun looking little buggy. Maybe a 180 size brushless set up would wake this up perfectly! Thanks Phil!👊🏼😎
1:30 Turbo Racing uses that controller, along with a mix of very similar controllers.
Good review. I wouldn’t call that friction shocks though. Looks like there is no friction. ‘Springs’ would be the right term I think 😅
This looks like a lot of fun. I think a tyco 4WD super turbo would be a great competitor
Ready to Ron merch?

slm dude rc haiboxing 16890rc 1/16 if I remove 8 inch wheels and put 5 inch wheels on my car, will the speed increase, what would happen, thanks.
Decrease maybe
It's amazing that this cheap stuff can still make you smile. 😁👍🏻
Car like this 1, my daughter come up with the term "Tobby Grade" toy/hobby grade. Seems to fall in that category well
Tobby Grade… like it!
My wpls struggle on grass i think a suspension and wheel upgrade on one these and it would be fantastic maybe slightly more powerful motor for a bit of punch. I think we need to see it on paddle tyres.
This reminds me of the quick drive series from Tamiya. Very nice little buggy! Thank you for the Video Tomley!😎
yes! QD stuff
It's so close to the kind of thing I'd love to see more of from China.

Riled Ron.! 😉 😉
That's a neat little buggy. Reckon we could get one or two of those in for a play. Nice little review of a cool little buggy.
That looks a lot of fun for a toy grade car .not everyone wants a fast RC . Great for running around the garden
Seems like a quality toy grade rc. Definitely not hobby grade, but if I was 10 years old again, I'd be happy to get that as bday gift. Cuz the rc cars I was getting as a kid were horrible! At least until zip zaps and xmods started coming around.
Been waiting for a good review on this rc. Thanks for your input on it and just might have to get one for myself.
Lmao my cousin walked in and said “Is that one like the Kraton?”
I'd scale it out to look like a Chenowth Scorpion desert patrol vehicle. It seems to have the right proportions.
Ron! 👍😎
With bearings already, it might be interesting to see how far you could take this toy grade, better shocks, tires & wheels, maybe better electronics, and motor... What kind of glue do you use to fix broken plastic? Anything I fix that breaks in shipping is gone with the first tumble...
Now it just needs a McD's paint job, so it'll be more than ready to Ron.

I love that this has 5mm hex! I'm very keen to have a play with one of these.
Yes… plenty of wheel options 👌
Awesome. My gen 8 v2 does 10mph with fusion se motor
Nice little ronner.
Poor Traxxas Matt - he was so angry that he forgot to add a question mark to the end of his comment, thus dooming himself to look like an illiterate buffoon on the Internet for ever.
Is the Tamiya ranger like the Nissan king cab or is there any kit like the king cab

Should change that sticker on the bonnet Tomely to VAG 😎
My Nikko Big Bubba does 9mph as well!! And it’s 40 years old! 😂

I wouldn't mind having it what size motor does use?
I'd say "cheap& cheerful" as opposed to cheap n nasty👍👍Nice honest review as always👍👍👍😀😀😀
...the new wp14 may be interesting to test. Wpl say it's the better pinecone. Funny video.

alaBAMa loves Tomley. Cheers to the most Underrated TH-camr Mate.❤
Thanks dude… appreciate it!
They do remind me of the tt rc pubg , a bit toy grade but it's still bit of fun

Great review. definitely something about it. Maybe on some dry sand, as per the style might be fun? 👍
I think this is a good intro into RC for my almost 6yo.

Rtr ready to RONNNNN 😂😂😂 what speed ronn?😂😂😂
See if I still want one after the vid. Cause I want one.I got a feeling they won’t sell very well. I’m predicting a price drop then I grab one.
I don’t think anyone will buy that after seeing your review,It looks fit for the bin😂
I've been waiting for this after watching it on Edward's channel.
I vote for a brushless system
Me too 👌
Yes he is Ron and you must start RONNING before it consumes your soul
😅
Put some plastic drift tires on you'll like it then a lot more than you do now.😊
That Traxxas comment 😂😂😂
Not sure if youve kept up with wpl but they did a collab with pinecone models and have a new wp14
Where have I heard the outro song?
Anyone know?
All the kids wanted a Tyco in my day and then I found out about Tamiya and Team associated
Cool beach basher paddle the rear n wooop Woooooop 😂

😅
It's Christmas everyday 🥳
Bah Humbug
I would say it's a very "lite" spend😂 for sure not light speed.
If you get a BBX please do a head to head battle with this.
if they make a good rtr in this style oh i woud love this
Ready To Ron 😂🤣😂
Hey brutha I want to introduce my 2 Yr old grand son to the hobby what is a good starting car for a very bright 2 year old
Hmmm… maybe a little HBX monster truck
Nice call out on the rude commenter
Is that "Ron" driving it? LOL, where did you get the driver?
COOL🇬🇧👍🏼
this one looks pretty cool tho!
A do Ron Ron Ron a do Ron Ron. Jokes aside looks fun but hmmm shame about the friction dampers
Did the "risitas" hit UK? Lol from Spain.
RON!
Now we need to build trend to make it not suck
Honestly if you slapped a bigger motor and some bigger tires on it, it wouldn't be that bad.
Agree
Tumble wumble
Who?
Ron!!!
i love myself a good ready to Ron 😂
haha
ron is ready :D
Ready to Ron? Guess I have to change my channel name.
Haha

ok now my analysis. Its an RC car :D
I like these being a fan of the SRB, but I think they’re overpriced for what they are
