You were the first motovloger I watched when I was 13 and you made it look so much fun, I’ve been wanting to ride ever since. 22 now, just got my first bike and have been learning in a parking lot the past couple days. Can’t wait to get out on the streets!

Just rented the MT-07 and I must say, that bike is an absolute dream to drive around on. I put close to 300 miles on it before I turned in yesterday and that was pure joy! I’m 100% sure I’m adding that Moto to my garage and this will be my first motorcycle. Before I buy the mt-07 I’ll be grabbing the alpinestars airbag vest and some good boots ❤ lots of love and thank you so much for your channel.
isnt the engine too much for absolute beginner?

I am going to start on this bike. I've done hundreds of hours of contemplating between about a dozen bikes. some small, and some as big as this. This is my dream bike, and dream engine. I will be starting on this
Love this video teaching the kiddos ☝👉🦾🙏🤟👊
Thanks for this video. I’m a new rider and watch all your stuff
Thanks for viewing and best of luck! Here is my 'How to Ride" video series that covers much more such as shifting, braking, counter-steering, rev matching, defensive riding, common rider errors, etc: th-cam.com/play/PLo0f05WTTEJkzv3yT4xq82XXDY4Igwhhi.html
Man, I really appreciate it Cycle. I saved all this to my library. I excited I have lots of training videos to watch.
"I always forget to turn blinker off" - Immediately forgets to turn blinker off, lmao.
yo i been watching your videos cause im interested in the MT07. You should definitely look into an exhaust upgrade

I have been riding just on 4 weeks and I am absolutely hooked. I’m in my 40s and got myself a 2022 Yamaha MT-07, it’s the restricted version here in Australia but it can be derestricted to or close to the non-restricted version I believe. I absolutely love this bike. I’ve added my own personal and simple touches while, also installed a full titanium akra (without db killer) and it now sounds like how it looks. Like sex. Thank you for your videos, it gave me enthusiasm while waiting for my MT-07 order, which took four months!!!!
I am waiting for mine and this whole waiting is killing me..The dealer said February and i hope he is right or else..! (:
I have the MT07 '21 in Brisbane, also in my 40s. The headlight is fugly but otherwise the bike's more than you need with Australia's speed limits (and unaffordable track days).
I bought the unrestricted model.. I've had my share of modifications, and overall it's just better to know that the interrelated fuel mixture and back pressure are as designed.
Best video I will buy mt 07
When in doubt pull the clutch in, im looking to get a MT-07 soon!
I'm from Europe and we have A licence that is on MT07 , and I feel in love with this bike and will be buying it next month when I come home..
The first bike I rode was a Yamaha 49cc FS1 two-stroke with Four Gears check it out then when I was old enough I got a trail bike and it started from there after that it was all uphill 😀 👍🏾
Nice! That is a really old skool bike. It is best to start small and work your way up, it's more fun that way too.
Eh, i dig your videos man!
Do you have issues losing footage or anything with your camera? Does it overheat? How is your battery life? Trying to get a camera to document my riding. When on the bike what microphone setup do you use for your audio. It is clean sound but you still get good exhaust sound. Do you use raw or post editing with your video. Any information would be appreciated.
Great video as always. You released this video at a perfect time for me. I completed the MSF course back in August and I have been in the market for a bike since. Still undecided between a MT03, Kawasaki Z400 or just going for a 600cc bike so I won't have to resell and purchase again in a few months. While keeping in mind insurance and staying within my budget. Any tips?
Either of those bikes are cool. You'll gain skills faster riding on a smaller bike and you'll appreciate them. I would not recommend a 600cc supersport or superbike, they are wicked for new riders and leave little room for error. Best of luck on whatever you get.
You learn a lot from seat time on road with cagers.
1. Always be ready for the unexpected, what a driver should do or what is common for a cager to do doesn't mean that's what they're gonna do, blinker don't mean anything
Hey there man. What would you recommend for gear if let's say someone is on a really tight budget like me and I got a motorcycle mostly because of cost, insurance price, gas prices for it etc...
I have a half-way decent helmet someone gave me but when it comes to boots, knee and elbow protection and shoulder/back protection I'm all naked and all the gear I see is so out of my budget I can't afford it but I still want to be a bit safer than I am right now because I need to ride to get places and also for fun even in the winter months. Thanks for all the videos man you the most entertaining out here.
I'm taking my msf course, but I've got a handmedown 2022 Mt03, figured I'd ride before the course to make it easier 😅
Bought a new MT-07 and sadly had the same thing what happened at 02:16 but crashed to a car.. Learned my lesson, have always my gear on so I had nothing and need to say that MT-07 also has serious quality parts. The damage is not that bad, lucky in an unlucky situation!
So you have to go through neutral from 1 to 2 ?
I started riding a moped 125cc as 16 years old, Now I'm 18 and I'm getting a new license for over 50 horse power😋
Always try to put your left foot on the ground with stops! This way you can cover the rear brake and be ready to move in an emergency! Never stop on the roadways in traffic in Neutral or in the wrong gear to move instantly in an emergency! Also, never stop in the middle of the intersection cause motor oil collects there and will make you slip and fall! always downshift before you come to a complete Stop! Great Job Cycle Cruza! MOTORMAN in DA SIP OUT OORAH
Good tip! About 5 years ago I did a "How to Ride" video series that covers everything from shifting, braking, counter-steering, defensive riding, common rider errors, etc: th-cam.com/play/PLo0f05WTTEJkzv3yT4xq82XXDY4Igwhhi.html
rear vs front brake doesn’t make too much difference in response time. (although I guess it depends on your specific controls) I do agree with leaving it in gear though. Just makes things easier.
@@ZSmith-yy4lv Covering the Rear brake allows you to power left or Right versus you dumping to bike holding the front brake! The panic factor is real and I'd rather be safe than sorry! Be safe out here Smith! OORAH
hey, CC! Whatcha think about MotoJitsu getting an MT-09 SP? He's really raving about it!
Btw my boy has one of the H2 SXSE or the “living room trim” as he calls it if you’re interested in buying lmk as he’s thinking of selling this year. He’s got like 12,000 miles on it I think which I love hard to find a superbike so reliable
What levers do you
Use?
Do you really need to blip the throttle when downshifting I was told no from a MSF Instructor because it's for racer's. 🤔
I keep my finger on the turn signal indicator until I finish the turn, that allows me to not forget to turn it off. A lot of people forget to turn it off then , when they hit someone that "cut them off" they blame them when they are the ones to blame because they were telling that driver that they were turning when they were not.. so the end up having a fucked up day...
If you can start on a MT07 you can start on basically any 600 or 1000 afaic. Like throttle control wise, maybe not self control wise
so if the neutral shift is between 1 and 2 , does it skipp netural when you go from 1 to 2 ?? or you have to press the shift foot 2 times??
It skips, to get to neutral is a very deliberate half-pull/push on the lever. But the gear indicator will tell you what you landed on.
Hey buddy. I've seen few of your mt07 vids and I can see you riding around the Town with more than 3k rpm, i have brand new mt07 and before i used to ride 125cc only. I have problem when reducing my gear from 4 to 3 and from 3 to 2nd gear. It get stuck somewhere between with (-) icon on the screen for 1-2seconds and after that I can feel my foot fall down and gear change. It makes me angry every time so here is the question. Do you think I should reduce my gears when I have more than 3000 rpm or under? - question only for mt07. On other bikes I didn't have such problems. Ofc I have user manual, and I try to change the position of foot shifter, use more or less throttle but it ends the same. I thought it should work nice and gently in every RPM but it doesn't. My screen show me "eco" mode when I ride between 3000-3600 rpm so i learn to ride like this. Your riding style is so different. Much more rpm, but sometimes at the 3000 I didn't see on the video if you have any stuck like I do :/
mt07 has a sensor problem where gears dont show up on the display instead they show (-) there is a fix for this online otherwise go to a dealer.
My first bike is an MT-09. Respect the throttle it’s fine and you can put them in rain mode which reduces torque
Yeah with some of the faster bikes like the MT-09 you can start in a lower power mode like rain mode and then gradually transition to the full power mode when you gain more skills. Thanks for sharing your comment.
The blip on the throttle going up is a waste, and a hazard if it's wet out. You do it when u down shift to reduce the chance of rear tire skipping.....and it sounds good lol
I just bought a 2017 MT07 today for my first bike and I'm in love...Terrified at times however I'm definitely happy with my purchase...She's definitely extremely snappy though which sucks as a new rider because I feel I've been fighting doing a wheelie on this bike...SMH...Even in higher gears...
Stay safe and have fun 😊
@@papilocsta5230 of course...Likewise if you ride...
In my opinion if it has enough power to "power wheelie" it's not right as a first bike
I’m that fool 😂, I got the fz07. I got a little experience from the past but not enough so I’m still a beginner basically, I’m very surprise of the power of the bike. The throttle is my biggest worry for sure. I got the r6 throttle on it already and that probably was a mistake lol. But I’m gonna take it easy so I should be ok.
Have to say I don't think I've ever seen a worse place to put a key on a motorcycle. Especially if you live in an area where they steal motorcycles. I've seen many and more videos where guys on bicycles ride by and grab your key out of the ignition, then come back and take the bike. If you are one of the thieves then the MT-07 should be your go to bike. Just look at that key placement right out front where its easy to grab and the rider can't do anything to prevent you taking that key. First mod I would make to the MT-07 is a key fob style ignition.
It is a weird place to put a key but I never really put much thought into it.
@@CycleCruza Apparently neither did Yamaha lol!
I agree it's pretty odd placement, but a small cowl/windscreen can "hide" the keyhole to sorta prevent tampering. But still not ideal placement I agree
fortunately, I’ve never had to worry about highway bike theft in my area. Bike theft in general isn’t entirely uncommon, but that’s when they’re parked and unattended.
Can you teach me to ride a Chineseeeee scooter
shift! shift!! 😄
Pretty sure in Oz, if you're a Learner rider its illegal to have all those attachments on the handlebars... cameras, phones, etc. Think its legal to have the camera on the helmet though here.
In Europe, most things are illegal. 🤣
It’s just call self control. I know guys that started on a 1000 crotch rocket. They did fine but you just take it easy to start out.
Sure, I think it's arrogant to think that one can be above impulses to go fast or learn without mistakes though. Plus taking it easy on a big bike, you learn less. I'd say 99% of inexperienced riders will be injured less severely on a smaller bike.
He even left on his blinker just like he said!
You forgot to remind them to kick up the kick stand . Not all bikes have the kill switch if they failed to kick up the kick stand
The thing with riding any bike, just don't be stupid! yes it is fun to go fast but get used to the bike, how it handles, how long it takes to stop, how throttle works, where all your indicator and horn buttons are by feel not by looking at them, then you can ride fast.
* Says not to forget switching off turning signal
* Proceeds to forget it
Bad bike to start on. Ideally the older light cbr250r which had 30kw and is ideal.
Nah you dont learn to ride in 2 mins. Most of what you learn is related to self control, staying calm, and awareness. That takes years.
I miss the days you rode a sports bike
Back in the day we didn't have many naked bikes that were that great so many of us rode supersports and superbikes on the street. Now, there is no need to ride the track bikes on the street, the naked bikes are actually more fun because they are tuned with loads of bottom end grunt and fun to ride on the street. If I ever do get a superbike again it will probably be a H2 which has loads of torque and grunt.
We have to do a group ride or at least a meet up bro. You don’t have to like it do it for us. You set all the rules. We could do an off-road course and rent out the whole place or something if you refuse to do an on road group ride. It’s time bro we are too old we are running out of time
Bmw s1000rr or kavasaki h2r
Hayabusa with turbo
You cant go wrong short shifting as a noob. No need to be in the upper rev range
I ALWAYS recommend beginners start out on a lower CC bike. Their cheaper and are vastly easier for new riders to handle. Building your riding fundamentals on a slow bike is more forgiving than on a higher CC bike like a middleweight 600cc or 700cc or a litre bike. Plus repairs are cheaper for a low CC bike compared to something faster. And at some point EVERY new rider is gonna go down. Plus the undeniable fact that it's better to ride a slow bike fast than a fast bike slow will forever be a thing. That said if a new rider gets a middleweight or larger bike and puts it in rain mode, they will have a better time of it then not using those modes. Exploiting rider aids on a bigger bike for beginners can have flaws. As some bikes cut the power of the bike by as much as 50% in rain mode and some even more than that. Thus leaving them a huge power gap they may not and probably aren't ready for once they get that itch to use the bikes full power. I've seen several friends make that mistake. Honestly the MT03 or Ninja 400 and maybe the CBR500 are the best beginner bikes.
I agree! But many riders are hard headed and will start on a faster bike like a MT-07, MT-09 or even supersports/superbikes.
Agree but the cost aspect is a trap. I would just ignore cost and say that even at the same cost, starting on a smaller bike is better.
And some like myself might be perfectly happy using it for years. Or for commutes it may be more suitable. I used a Cbr500 for commuting coming from a Ninja 650.. perfectly fine at 140kph and more comfortable for me.
If you respect this vehicle the mt07 is a perfect starter bike and you wull get thousands of miles out of this. I love this bike so much , and she has a beautiful tank it’s like holding a beautiful woman’s ass :)))
What did that turn signal do to you? I don’t see why you had to cancel it, I hate cancel culture. 😝
