  • Turns out my prelude isnt a standard h22..

    Welcome to the prelude community! Have the same engine in mine. Love it. Most of the H22 parts fit. Water pump, timing belt, ect. Also. Its a valve cover🙂 not a head. You should keep it. They're fun cars, easy to work on. And if you can behave yourself, good on gas. Happy luding!

    Really lucky! Awesome buy. Keep the Prelude and take care of it. Welcome to the Lude community.
    Suggestions obviously the major maintenance like timing belt and water pump. And do compression test. After that regular maintenance. Then start modding if you like, but in my opinion leaving everything stock.

      Thanks for the tips man. I plan on leaving it stock, i think itll retain more value that way and honestly its a beautiful car it doesnt need much!

    in for the walk on that LUDE, i work on them often, dont get rid of that engine, its a gem

    +4.3mm of stroke. Same thing as an H22A4. Open deck is the same, 55mm main bearings are the same. The only thing I have found that the H23A is lacking vs the H22A4 is the lack of oil squirters. I had some from a prior block and installed them no problem and I did the same to another H23A. They are fun engines.

    Definitely the best Honda for the money. Looking better than Civics or Integra. Faster in stock form and is such a good car for cornering. Hysterical Honda fanboys will always ignore Preludes and that's also a good point

    They are good for all motor setup I had a friend that had a blue top and he mad 240 crank horsepower with just a straight pipe gutted Plenum spacer and 440cc on Hondata s300 v3 with a 255 iph walbro fuel pump but the best part is that the h23a make good torque he made 200ftps on the the Dino

    Dopee I actually got mine’s swap to n 23a lol but want to put a turbo later on with some headers, Check mine out I have some xxr 527 rims and slammed on coil overs.

      @@bayviewbud1539 I’ve had my 5th gen prelude since 2013 man they are great cars. Those engines run high compression and require the higher octane fuel so just make sure to keep the good stuff it! Hope you enjoy the Lude man. Get on the prelude forums on fb and stuff. They are a great community.
